      Ibis - A Decent Mid-Range Hotel

I got married in Belfast last month and as I was away from home and couldn't stay with my wife-to-be the night before the wedding I checked myself into the Ibis at the Queen's Quarter.

The hotel looks to be very new, the reception area was clean and modern as were the rooms. My room was perhaps a little on the small side compared with other mid-range hotels I have stayed in over the past 12 - 18 months. However, it is big enough for a couple who are on a city break for a couple of days or someone who is on business I would say.

There was a TV in your room and tea and coffee making facilities too. All what I have come to expect from a 3 star hotel. There was also WiFi access if you required it, however you did have to pay extra. The cost was £10 per day. This is much more expensive that Premier Inn which I have normally found to be a littler cheaper than Ibis.

The reception staff were friendly and efficient and made both checking in and out easy. Being the night before my wedding I also had my speech which I required printing and they were more than happy to print that for me at no extra cost. It's always nice when staff are willing to go that extra mile to make your stay as stress free and enjoyable as possible.

I had breakfast, which was a buffet style of breakfast. You had the choice of cereal, toast, bacon and egss etc. There was also tea, coffee and fruit juice available and this was all part of the price. The food and the coffee was decent and I felt that this provided good value for money.

The hotel is in a good city centre location which would be ideal for visitors getting around. You are approximately 15 minutes from Belfast City Airport and 30 minutes from the International Airport. It cost me £45 for a night, which I thought was good value for money for a Friday night in a city centre location.

If I ever need a room again in Belfast I won't hesitate booking back into the Ibis.
