Duke of Leincester is an elegant two star hotel situated in bustling Bayswater only a few minutes walk from Hyde Park, lively Queensway with it's shops, mall and restaurants and two Underground Stations, Bayswater and Queensway.
As befits a hotel of such unique character, each of its 42 guestrooms is individually furnished and decorated with more than a dash of aristocratic style. Traditional style is of course matched by modern comfort, and all rooms feature the most up-to-date facilities.

I enjoy going to musicals and shows and for my birthday last year my mum paid for me and my close family to see Ghost, the Wizard of Oz and Wicked in the West End. As I live in Guernsey we rarely get any shows over so we regularly go to shows all over the UK.
I had wanted to see these shows for a while so I was really excited. When we arrived in London we took a tube straight to the closest tube station to the Duke of Leinster Hotel. From there we walked to the hotel which was reasonably easy to find. This took about five minutes. The area included shops, restaurants and even a bowling alley and ice rink within a five minute walk.
When we arrived at the hotel around 2pm we checked in straight away. We were shown the direction to our room and we made our way their. We had booked 2 rooms. On the way down the stairs they went sharply around a corner and although I expected a corridor the stairs continued, in my opinion this is dangerous as their was no warning.
The rooms we had booked were one triple room for my mum, anty and I and a double room for my grandparents. As I entered my room (triple) we saw there were three beds as asked for but one was against the wall and the other two were together as a double bed with one cover on them. Whilst my grandparents room (double) had two single beds separate. Soon after a member of staff brought our suitcases down and we asked for the two beds in the triple room to be separated. They refused and would not bring separate covers either. Even though we told them that this wasn't what we had booked they wouldn't change it and were most unhelpful. In the end we decided between us to swap rooms so my mum and anty were in the double and I was in the single bed in the triple.
In the evening as we went to use the bathroom there was hardly any room to move in it. There was barely enough room to open the door without hitting the toilet and the shower was tiny as well. Something I didn't like was the frosted glass door on the bathroom as I don't need everyone to see when I'm in there or for me to see when others are in there.
Whilst waiting for the others to get ready I looked out the window but all I could see was a white wall and feet walking on the pavement above.
During the stay the heating wasn't working in the double room making it extremely cold as it was February, whilst in the triple room we were woken up at six every morning from the clatter of pots and pans in the kitchen in the next room.
The breakfast was ok but they did run out of food meaning we couldn't always have cooked breakfast and we had to sit squashed at a table as there was only a few tables of four. We stayed here for three nights and definitely won't be going again. We've had better service at other cheaper hotels.
