Me and my husband stayed at De Vere Whites in Bolton on valentines day this year, we only live 15 minutes away from Bolton but they were selling rooms for £19 which they do every year around february. This hotel is part of Bolton Wanderers football ground, we actually stayed there when there was a match on, yet we still managed to get a parking spot near the front of the hotel just by showing our reservation. The rooms are very nice with big comfortable big beds and the usual tea, coffee and biscuits, we paid £7.50 each extra for the breakfast and it was worth the money, they had everything you could desire to eat. We like to book the Bolton hotel because it is set on the rebock retail park so we usually go to vue cinema and watch a film, then go to the harvester for tea and a drink, then back to the hotel all within walking distance. The pool and jazzuci is a nice way to chill and the steam room is fantastic, you can spend hours as it is usually quiet and you almost have the pool to yourself, they also have a stand up sun bed tanning room, you need to get your token from the reception before you go into the pool.
This hotel is part of the Reebok Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers football club. It was added as a later addition to the stadium. There is more than adequate parking to the front of the hotel and is within a short walk of Horwich Parkway train station so easy to access on foot. This rail link provides access to Bolton (10 minutes) and Manchester (35 minutes). The hotel is also near to the Middlebroook retail park with shops such as M&S, Next, Currys, Au naturale, Asda. A large Tesco is also next to the Stadium. The hotel has been designed to fit in with the stadium and looks good from the outside. Once inside, he hotel gives the up market feel from as soon as you enter and the service is excellent and there is a small gym and pool to relax. Some of the rooms overlook the Reebok Stadium pitch which would be ideal for Bolton fans. There are also lots of function rooms available to use for events. This is an ideal hotel, for either a short stay or to provide functions for work events. The cost can be quite expensive but there are often deals available to get reductions - overall, I would recommend this hotel.
Just come back from a long weekend here with husband and our one year old. This is predominately used for conferences and as such tends to have special offers on a weekend. Location/accessibility: Just off the M61, ample parking, automatic doors lifts to all areas and wide corridors. Price: Paid £25 a night including breakfast (which we didn't realise until we checked out, we thought we'd have to pay the £7.50 each per day!) Room: Room wasn't huge but big enough for a double bed, travel cot, single chair and small circular table. The only downside in my opinion was the mattress was very firm and made my back ache. The bathroom was an adequate size, bath with overhead shower, toilet and sink. Plenty of wardrobe space, kettle, complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and 2 small bottles of water replaced daily. Each room also has an iron and hairdryer. We never heard a peep from our neighbours whilst we were there, however due to the hot weather the room was very warm so we had to keep our window open which resulted in a little road noise, nothing major and nothing that kept us awake. Internet access was available in rooms but at £15 a day I thought it was steep but then it's a conference hotel so I guess it's to be expected. Cleanliness: All areas were kept very clean Staff: Every member of staff we encountered were lovely, friendly and helpful - especially with our little boy. They suggested child friendly places for us to eat, supplied us with milk for him when ours went sour and you just felt nothing was a bother. Facilities: We used the pool - which is quite small but adequate for us and Jacuzzi, there is also a sauna and sun shower. They have male and female changing areas plus a separate family change room and a disabled change room. When you sign in you are supplied with towels and a key to a locker (free of charge). Breakfast: I believe this normally costs £7.50, which is the usual price for this sort of breakfast in most hotels. There was a good choice of hot food, cereal, fruit, toast and pastries which you could help yourself to. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evenings nor use the bar but both areas looked clean and spacious. Local area: Within walking distance is a 24 hour Tesco (had breakfast here one day - a good cheap option if breakfast isn't included in your room rate) and Asda, cinema, bowling, and shops including M&S, Next, Boots, Game and the Works. Food/beverage wise there is Starbucks, Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, McD's, a Harvester and a bar which I think was called Scotty's. If you want to travel further afield less than a 5 minute walk is Horwich Parkway train station - Manchester return was £3.20 and takes about 30 minutes. We also took our little one to Blackpool zoo which was only about 40 minutes in the car (you can also take the train to Blackpool from here). All in all we had a very enjoyable stay which for £25 a night was an absolute steal. We'd definitely return if we could get the same or similar rate.
Hi folks, just got back from another delightful stay at the DeVere Whites Hotel, near Bolton. This unique hotel is built into Bolton Wanderer's Football Club home ground; the Reebok Stadium giving guests the chance to watch live football through a window in their room whilst lying in bed (should you want to pay extra for this). This time around I decided to take up the breakfast option which was £7.50 for a help yourself breakfast which included juice , coffee, full english brakfast, cereal, croissants, pastrys, fruit salad, and a selection of preserves and toast very good value as you could eat as much as you like. The room was slightly smaller this time round but was still up to a high standard and more than comfortable. A very-modern venue with a difference, this unique meeting and exhibition centre can be configured to host up to 1,500 people. That's one hell of a meeting or training session! Whites is used to the roar of the crowd as it is fully integrated into the Reebok Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers FC, providing a memorable location for your event. Junction 6 of the M61 is just 500 yards away, a short drive from Manchester. Another plus point is its surrounded by all sorts of various shops. With a vue cinema nearby(about 5 minutes walk) and a bowling and arcade area as well there is loads to do. We chose to go and see Inkheart which was a mediocre but bareable film. Their helpful team obviously take dealing with such scale in their stride - however big your event is and whatever you need, they will make sure your stay is care free and relaxing. and are always more than happy to help, from pre-planning to the end of the busy day, to ensure you get the perfect bespoke event for your needs. A trip to the health facilities makes a great way to wind down. And later, enjoy a drink in the Pure bar and then a local dish in the excellent Brasserie restaurant. The restaurant has a good wide menu and some great wines to taste. I had the common old gammon and chips but as far as that dish goes it was well above average. we also had a bottle of the wine which you could tell was selected on the qaulity and not just price margain. When me and my girlfriend went we found it to have great service and excellent rooms , great size and standard. with a tv, some sky channels, iron and board, great working shower, internet connection if needed, hairdryer. If you pay around £200- £300 you can get a matchday pitch view which is based on 2 sharing with breakfast and dinner in the package. or this offer can be made a 2 night stay for just around £430. I would definitely recommend staying at this venue, what makes the stay even better is if you get the £19 a night offer, the value for money speaks for itself really!.
Whites is an ultra modern hotel with a difference. Not many hotels can claim to offer the perfect mix of comfort, style and football. This magnificent four-star hotel is fully integrated into the Reebok Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers. On the first floor is a glazed lobby with glass lifts and a sweeping staircase leading to the elegant brasserie and bar.
