I have been to the complex 3 times and can't understand why there are so many bad reviews for this place!
I had a great time, and thought it was great value, considering my boyfriend and I went Jul 2009, all inclusive for £310 each (inc. transfers and all other costs!). I have also been in 2000 and 2007. I have to admit since the year 2000, the food isn't as good (may be due to the recession?) but compared the the usual 3* / 4* food I've had in the past, it is still to a high standard, and I'm very pleased.
They cater for all types and ages. From the Kids food section (which i enjoyed the most!) consisting of alphabet bites, fish fingers etc, ranging to pork chops, steak , piella, curries, pasta, salads, burgers and much more. I wasn't keen on the deserts though, as they mainly consisted of Spanish deserts. And due to the fact that i don't like fruit, I had ice cream everyday for deserts. I only wish they had english deserts like chocolate cake, mm !
One annoying aspect of the holiday though was the queues! I had to queue for about 10-15 mins for a drink or food from the snack bar, so it is advised to get a few drinks at a time for yourself! Also the range of alcohol wasn't particularly great, but this was fine with us as we didn't want to go on a drinking holiday!
FACILITIES/ THINGS TO DO:
There are four swimming pools, three kids' pools and two lakes. You can participate in tournaments and clubs which run every day. There are Tennis courts, Table tennis, Pool tables and Minigolf available. There is a small shop on the complex, which came in handy, although there is a Spar across the road.
If you go all inclusive there is a free bus to the beach, which i was very impressed with. Considering my boyfriend and I are 20 years old , we got a bit bored of the complex night entertainment after 3 days. However, is still great for families, as they run the childrens' disco , bingo and shows. There are various stalls and games on the complex from around 7pm which sell some really nice things. I purchased a personalised keyring, pen and doorsign.
ROOMS / SERVICE:
The rooms are very clean, with good-working air con and the staff are very friendly and change the bedsheets everyday! (Just be careful not to leave any spare change out around the room though though, or that will be mistaken for a tip... as I found out Euro7 out of pocket!)
The hotel staff even changed our room floor on the initial arrival as we didn't want to be so high up, which i thought was very nice of them!
It is not far from the beach and the main Alcudia strip is about 10 mins walk up the road , which we only discovered on the last night of staying there!
Personally, I think the ideal age group is young couples and families. I fell that groups of teenagers would get bored, due to the area being quiet and middle aged couples finding the complex too noisy.
Overall for £310pp all inclusive, I think this is great value for money and would happily go there again!
this place is far too big to accommodate all. there were people fighting for sun beds, no room to move by the pool. By 9am there was no sun beds left!!!
it was like a chav drop off centre!!!! Parents letting there children run wild and do as they please with no regard to anyone else!!! The reps walked around one night with a little girl 7/8 who had lost her parents they had only gone and left her at the hotel while they went into Alcudia to get drunk!!! That's what some of the people were like at this Zoo
Queue for lifts... Queue for food... queue for everything.
the amount of noise was unbearable from 11pm till 4am people running on corridors and banging doors, shouting with no consideration for anyone else.
The hotel was quite clean the staff tried but it was a hard job as people just threw litter every were.
The room's very small and basic just 1 room with 2 double beds in it and a small bathroom.
Very small balcony could just about fit 2 people on it.
All in all a very very disappointing holiday
Myself, my husband and 2 children stayed at the hotel jupiter last august for our 2nd wedding anniversary. To be fair, yeah the rooms was a bit small for 4 people but who gives a damn bout the size of a room, all you do is sleep in it!!! The food, entertainment, staff and everything else was brill. The hotel was clean. Weather was brilliant, boiling and would recommend this hotel to anyone. My whole family loved it and we are looking forward to going back again next year. The children's club was good, my kids enjoyed it. Plenty of pools to choose from including walk in pools. MUST see show is the pirates, it is absolutely awsome, will also be returning to watch this show again. even my kids enjoyed it at the ages of 3 and 4.
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL COMPLEX!!!!!!!!!!!If you like nice hot food. to be able to sleep at night, a nice clean hotel of good standard and ammenities for kids that actualy work when you are there then do not go here!!!!!. It is full of beer drinking tatood chavs!!!!!!!!. You have been warned!!!!!!!!!!!
i cannot believe how many bad reviews this hotel has had.........we stayed there in june this year (all 17 of us) and there is not one thing we could fault. The rooms were spotless and cleaned everyday with the option of clean bed sheets everyday as well. The food was amazing, i am a very fussy eater but the standard and variety would suit anyone. The entertainment was brilliant, the staff very friendly and willing to help......not that we needed much help cause everything run so smoothly. Alcoholic drinks available from 10am til midnight, but snacks and cold drinks available 24 hours a day. There is a free bus to the beach which i think was at least every hour. Beach was lovely, but quite expensive in the little beach shop, but with 8 or 9 pools to choose from back at the complex, why bother with the beach?? As i mentioned there werer 17 of us in our holiday group 8 adults and 9 children, and we had not one complaint between us. We are just about to book again for next year. Brilliant!!!!!
Its based on 3 different properties, jupitar, marte and saturno, very central and close to the beach as well. its a very family friendly hotel, does have day time and evening time entertainment and has got a kids club aswell.
You can get a family of 5 rooms easily but they don't cater very spacious and big apartments, Alcudia is known for its water sports as well so you i would recomment this hotel to all th families who are looking for a family friendly hotel. its only a 3 star hotel, the food is okay and the staf f is okay as well.
there is a kids pool and an adults pool as well. Marte is the best one if you get a choice to pick one. marte is the best selling one. and its usually available at a very affordable cost. Good luck and thanks for reading my review.
I have just returned from this Club Mac complex (22 July 09) and recommend it to anyone with a family. I read the reviews AFTER booking and had this image of hell in the sun. The rooms are smallish but the weathers great and with 8 pools including specific childrens pools who wants to be in the room all day. The extensive range of food was great (each evening different theme eg Spanish, carnival, asian). During the day there are several food outlets to choose from including a full restaurant, burger bar area and hot snacks area (entrance hidden around the back of a pool). Breakfasts were far more superior than continental affairs offering full english, cereals, yogurts etc. All food was cooked to a great standard and freshly prepared. The drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic were plentiful and the measures on spirits were vast, beer was San Miguel (tastes ok to me) also offered Pepsi and good range of soft drinks. In the evenings there was plenty to watch and do with some good acts in the evening and the kids club was great. As others have said free bus rides to beach in the day and Port Alcudia in the evening (wait until little later to go to Port and you will miss the rush to get on the earlier bus run). The complex is vast but dont be put off there is alot on the complex to do and the staff are exceptional whereever you look there is someone tidying up and cleaning something. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with children the only downside in my opinion was the lack of lifts in the hotel (long waits).
we went to hotel jupiter a few year back, it was a holiday of a lifetime, our full fam ily loved it that much we are returing twice next year, the complex was clean and tidy, with the rooms constintly being cleaned, they was plenty to do for everyone with full day time entertainment, the kids clubs were really good aswell, the food was realy nice and you had a variaty of differant foods each night with a self serv service, the resteraunt was open till midnight serving fresh food all night, breakfast you had a choice from basicly everything, during the day u have a sandwich bar constintly being filled of fresh sandwiches, then u have a bar in the hotel serving burgers and chips nd things then a hut round nee4r the pond to get chicken nuggets and pizzas, ice creams were served all day long, computers are supplied for thoise who want to check there facebook and stuff, on a night you had 3 differant choices of entertainment, you had entertainment in hotel jupiter, entertainment on the outside day stage (mainly the kids entertainment) and also entertainment on the big night time stage, i would recomend this hotel for anyone looking for a amazingg timeee !!!!!!
just returned from hotel jupiter complex, 24.july 09, we had never stayed in a large complex before, we had a good week. food was plentiful and well cooked, there is a show cooking area, where you actually watch your food being cooked.dining staff were very helpful and efficent, they work really hard to keep space available and clean. there was always at least 6 main meal options plus salad bar always.
the complex itself was clean and well presented, constantly being cleaned and gardens attended too.
there are quiet areas to go to if you need a break from your children.
many activities for children and adults, i went on a canoe for the first time ever on the lake(i'm 41).
there are two buses which are free, one to the beach, a large 42 seater coach, and the night time bus is a bit smaller but regular.
I met people who have returned year after year to this complex, because of what it has to offer the whole family.
I would return to this complex, alcudia beach is lovely for all ages, as it is shallow for a long distance, about 15mts until it is 1.8mt deep.
I dont Know how the people below ended up having a bad time, but before we went we read all these different reviews from different web sites and we got really worried. When we got there however it was really nice and my family and i had a great holiday. It is a family resort so if you are a couple you may not want go there but only because of all the kids running around. The food was fine and the free unlimited drinks and snack you are intitled to make you feel special. The pools are magnificent not heated but there is no need as the weather is spectacular. The beach is amazing and the hotel has its own private bus to the beach so you dont hve to walk. I would definatly re visit.
what all those people below are saying is rubbish!Hotel Jupiter is a verynice hotel. The rooms are clean and avarage but you are hardly ever in your room.the entertainment is good and keep u occupied. The food is brilliant and is cooked in front of your eyes.I loved the pools as they were big and warmIt is not too farfrom the beach and the market.I would reccomend the hotel jupiter for anyone going alone or with kids as I took my kids.It is a very good hot
Please don't go to Hotel Jupiter. Its everything written in these last reviews and worse. We went with First Choice and they were terrible as well. My baby girl was was 18 months at the time and got such such terrible food poisoning we thought she was dying. All of us were ill, and a week of our holiday wasted. While we were there (August 2008) about 500 people got the same bug. People were leaving early as they could not take any more. I admit that the sort of people who come here do not help its reputation. Some people brought literally 100 euros for a 2 week holiday, doing nothing but drinking as soon as the bar opens. The reps were quite frankly useless. And Although we have written twice to Forst Choice, we have not heard anything so have just given up with them. Live and Learn. Decent family holiday? Not at Hotel Jupiter. If one family is saved from the same experience as ours, then my job here is done.
well what can I say about this absoulte rubbish hotel, the food was disgusting, there was the same food everyday with no variety, and the kids menu was the same old everyday chips and chicken nuggets! It was cold and bland. There was supposed to be food 24 hrs a day when this was so not true, only snacks through the day were cheese ham and tuna sandwiches which were left on show all day in a window with the sun pounding down on it, it was filthy and there were dead cockroaches laying round the food, a complaint was made but nothing ever came of it!
The rooms were very small and basic and were not cleaned the whole time we was there, my daughter of 14 months was banging her head on everything in the room cos there was no room to walk about, when we booked with this hotel we was told we would have a seperate bedroom for the kids with bunk beds, we was put in a room with 2 double beds pushed together and a dirty travel cot that was on the brink of collapsing! when we complained we were told all the rooms were the same but they had a tv screen in reception showing these new rooms for families, this is false advertising as we found with a lot of things that were put in the brochure!.
There were no fridges in the rooms so we had no where to store milk for the little one, one morning she woke at 6 in the morning, we went down to ask for some milk but was told we had to wait till 8 oclock when the dining area opened, they let a 14 month old baby cry for 2 hours for milk and told us to hire a fridge for a small fee and deposit, this is supposed to be a family hotel why should we pay when its all inclusive!
There was only ever 1 bar open at a time with 2 people serving so you can imagine how long the queus were, they served larger in half pint plastic cups it was ridiculous and we found ourselfs going else where for a decent drink!
The list is endless regarding the fact this is a rubbish hotel, I could carry on all day but think they have wasted my time and money enough, please whatever you do, do not come to this hotel!
The hotel is very lucky to still be trading, health & hygiene officers would have a field day with the food, tuna, ham, cheese left out all day on the snackbar, no covers from the fly's, next to a window in the sun, bacteria heaven. Resturaunt food was inedible most days, cold, no variety, stale bread. Rooms need updating, shower facilities in bathroom poor, kids entertainment just about ok, but not great, some good acts on at night for adults, but it dont start till 10pm. Would go back to alcudia, but never this complex, its a two star on a good day, needs modernising badly, & some of staff not really helpful.
omg what can i say dont touch this hotel with a 10foot bargpole its a typical spanish hotel in dire need of updating the outside is gorgeous its just when you get into the bedrooms its like something out a benidorm hotel room 60yrs ago the bathroom's need ripping out and upto date ones putting in cant fault the food but there was only 1 bar open for the 3 hotels so you can imagine wot the queue was like night after night hence we went to the britsh bars accross the road and everynight all the holiday makers frm the hotel were in there all thinking the same thing. The walls are paper thin and everything could be heard so speak very very quietly.although my 13 yr old son loved it the water prk opp only 2 slides working so its a waste of money and aludia is a dump
Located in the resort of Alcudia on the northern coast of the island, the hotel Jupiter/Saturno is the perfect choice for an all inclusive break. Standing in a spacious complex these sister hotels have many facilities to keep the family occupied. Choose to relax by one of the four adult pools & three children pools or take part in one of the endless sports activities. The hotel operates a shuttle bus to the beach - only 1km away, while a number of shops, bars and restaurants are to be found in the immediate vicinity.
