My boyfriend bought me this for my birthday as I did not have a music player in my house. I wanted one though that I could also play my I-Phone on. So after browsing round I settled on this one from curry's for £75 which I thought was a reasonable price.
So as soon as I got it home I unpackaged it and got it all set up, which I will say was pretty easy to do. The player comes in 3 separate parts, you have the main box, which does have a specific name although I cant remember what but this is where all your power comes through. You need to plug this into the mains, then plug the player part into this box. This is where you will put all your CDs ect in to play. Then thirdly you have the I-Phone dock which just clips into the side of your music player. Then you just need to plug in the speakers which you get two of with the player and you are all set to go.
I found the best place to put my player was on top of a small table that way I could put the box under the table so that it did not get in the way of me playing my music, as the only use for the box is to power up the device. The player is not massive but it does seem to have quite a loud sound system to it.
The player has many functions and different things to play:
Compact discs: I have played both original and copied discs on this and both have worked perfectly well, although it does have problems if the disc has a bit of dirt on or scratches it tends to jump on the parts where dust or scratches are so you do need to make sure the disc is clean and without scratches.
I-Phone: I have played many songs on this player through my phone and it does seem to work well, but sometimes it makes a funny noise when I am about to get a call or a text trough on my phone, also when I do get a call or text I have to take my phone off to check it and it also cuts out the music so this can be a little annoying.
Radio: this is the part I found most annoying I can not seem to get a good signal on the radio but this may be just the area I live in and I do prefer to listen to my own music so this was not a big deal for me, but may be for others but like I say this could be due to the area I live in.
Memory stick: the player does have a usb port however I have yet to use this but I assume it will be just as good as the disc player.
The player is really easy to use and does not really need no explanation, but it does come with a manual just in case you need it. It also comes with a remote control so you do not have to get up to change songs, you just push a button and it does it for you.
I have found this sound system to be really good and does just what I wanted it to do, it plays music very well and not too loud to annoy the neighbours but just loud enough for me to enjoy listening to it. I so far have had no problems with it, and for the price I paid you can not go wrong it is well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone.
