***Why I want the product?*** My cuticles can get really dry to the point where they can crack and bleed but I do not always want to apply hand cream for my cuticles to get benefit so I am a lover of cuticle products. I love using my OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil and do use regularly, however I do not always like to use it when I am on the go and do not have time to wait for the oil to sink into my skin, which regularly ends up on everything else apart from my cuticles so I normally use it as a deep cuticle treatment in the evening. I wanted something that works just as well but sinks in quickly. I already have Crabtree and Evelyn hand therapy creams, which I love so I decided to look at their cuticle therapy. Crabtree and Evelyn have two cuticle therapy creams on offer, Gardeners Intensive Nail & Cuticle Therapy and La Source Intensive Nail & Cuticle Therapy. I decided on La Source Intensive Cuticle Therapy. *** About the product*** Crabtree and Evelyn say this is the secret to glossy and healthy nails. The formula contains panthenol and keratin, which is a natural protective protein naturally found in the hair, skin and nails. ***How does this product differ from a cuticle oil?*** Cuticle oils are just that, an oil. This product is a light weight cream that is readily absorbed into the skin to deliver great results without waiting for the product to dry unlike an oil that takes awhile to sink in. ***Packaging*** The actual product comes in a 15g tube that measures 8.5cms in length and the widest part at the top measures 4cms so it fits easily into your handbag. The tube is brightly coloured turquoise with white writing on the front and back, which stand out beautifully while having an elegant feel. The back of the tube tells you how to use the product and expiry is 24 months. ***What is the product like?*** Unscrewing the lid, which reveals a tiny nozzle. Squeezing the tube and placing the nozzle on my cuticle I am greeted with a white cream that looks glossy. I like depending on how much you squeeze you get the exact amount of product you are after, which means no waste. Gently rubbing the cream into my cuticle is very easy and feels moisturising. As soon as you've rub the cream on the cuticle it is easily dispended all over the nail and turns clear. I found you can either apply more product and gently keep massing it into your cuticle and nail or you can gently spread it over and let it sink in. Either way the product sinks in quickly, leaving no greasy residue behind. At first I was worried at how quickly this product does actually sink in, I thought it would not do anything or if it did it would take a few applications before I saw any difference. But I am happy to verify even after one treatment I saw and felt a difference, my cuticles looked less dull, more moisturised and softer than before but more importantly I was able to apply, gently rub in and get on with my day without any worry. I have been using this product every morning, whenever my hands and cuticles feel dry and as a sinking in treatment before bed. Or if I am after a real luxury treatment I use my cuticle oil. I am also finding with continual use Nail and Cuticle Therapy is helping to protect and strength my nail and cuticle. I am noticing less cuticle cracking and brittleness, which I can often get. ***Price and availability*** £10 from www.crabtree-evelyn.co.uk £7.20 from www.escentual.com ***What I think about it/do I like it?*** I love this product, I have used it every day for two months and I've hardly made a dent in the tube as such a tiny amount of product is needed 15g really does last a long time. It is great just to throw inside my handbag without worrying if the top will come undone and leak everywhere. Even though the price is a little expensive for some I feel it is great value for money and is something I will be re-purchasing.
