In used to work in a salon which retailed sexy hair products. At first we were all really excited as the products really caught our eye. Its young its bright its bubbly, its what you would associate with a typical saturday night round town getting ready with your girls for a night out and wanting to feel glitzy and glam. The products are also promoted by a girl band as well which were founded by Robin whom founded the pussy cat dolls, its very attractive and has the right vibe, who wouldnt want to buy it,
When we started using these products it was safe to say i found them abit dissapointing. I used the sexy hair curling creme on my own hair as i do have naturally wavy hair and as everyone will no who has this hair it can be very unruley sometimes and you just want it to look abit more defined and structured as oppose to that got out of bed look. Being a hairdresser i only used a pea size about and just ran it though my hair as instructed. My hair became very greasy and didnt look defined at all it just looked dirty. I also used this on m other clients and they agreed it didnt do much. You supposed to to use it on wet hair and it retails about £15 a bottle for 250ml whihc i think for the pricetag is just a rip off, the only thing i rated was the smell of the product. My advice dont always go for the packaging as it may just fool you
Sexy Hair Curling Creme
I bought this about a month ago from amazon for about £13. I have tried other hair curling/enhancing products before such as the john freida one (see my previous review) but they have not lived up to what they claim to do, and this product is the same.
Firstly I love the packaging/tube it is a really nice metallic blue and looks nice on my table and it also smells really nice, like bubblegum and flower/floral scents which is really nice.
It claims to 'Tame unruly curls and give them strength, shape and definition' But I only found that it smoothed my hair and made it softer, It did not do anything to define my wavy/beachy hair at all!
You just squeeze out a small amount of the product, which is quite runny and I would have liked it to be thicker so that it does not just feel like I am putting scented water on my hair. Then I diffused my hair and it in my opinion did not do anything to my curls and I have also applied it to my damp hair and then let it air dry and this had the same non curly result.
*Smells really really nice
*Nice packaging - metallic blue
*Easy to use
*Smell stays on my hair for most of the day
*Conditions and smoothes my hair
*They have lots of other ranges that look really good
*In my opinion it did not do anything to my curls
*Quite runny in consistency
*Expensive seen as though it does not do anything to my hair - but you may get different results as everyone does not react to products in the same way
Thank you for reading my review
