This product added a fairly nice shine to my hair. However in terms of what the product is actually meant to do, it did not fulfill its purpose. My hair was left heavy, with not a long of bounce or body to it. The formula was difficult to rinse out.
WHAT IS IT?
This is conditioner that is made by Schwarzkopf, it says it will give volume to your hair but I think it does the very opposite thing and makes my hair look very thin.
WHAT I THINK
I am using this only because my husband saw it at a very cheap price and he knows that I like to use different hair products so he bought it for me. He did not know that I have used products that are sold as Gliss before and they are not very good and are not suited for my hair.
It is very thin conditioner and it does not feel pleasing to use like conditioners I use that are thicker and have a more creamy texture. It feels like it takes a long time to coat my hair and even if I leave it on for longer than usual the conditioner does not feel always like it has gone all over my hair.
The conditioner smells like Nivea cream and I think the smell is the best thing about it.
When I have rinsed the conditioner out my hair is filled with knots and so I do not think it works very good as a conditioner and sometimes I have to spray my hair after with detangler spray because it makes my hair more knotted than before I washed it and I cannot stop that from happening.
My hair is easy to style when I have used this Gliss conditioner.
Through the day my hair goes very limp when I have been using this conditioner and I am not happy for that because you cannot get volume into hair that is limp and I like for my hair to look full and bouncy. It looks greasy after I have used this and I do not like that, I know it is the conditioner because the shampoo I was using then was very good for my hair.
My husband paid £1.29 for this conditioner but it is not value because I have thrown it away.
1 Dooyoo Star.
My hair is lank and terribly greasy at the roots and dry at the ends due to the fact that I dye my hair. I tried various types of conditioners but this one is now available from Home Bargains at 99p and it has proved to be really good in terms of its ability to add volume to my hair and give it a bit of life, where others have failed.
The bottle is dark blue and sits on its head with a clip on cap. The conditioner is white in colour, medium consistency and really does loosen the knots and tangles in my hair. I think it is suitable for use by the while family and I have also used it a lot of times on my little girl. Occasionally I also use the matching shampoo with comes in the same range and the two work very well together.
It smells fresh and clean and I love that it does not make my roots greasy at all.
My hair always feels light after I have used this and I am able to style my hair better. I also think it has mended some of my spilt ends, which is an added bonus, as the bottle does not claim to do this.
For the small price, I definitely think this is a worthwhile buy. It has been on sale in Home Bargains for ages and it seems to be a product that they regularly stock as it is always there when I go in.
~*~*~ Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Volume Conditioner ~*~*~
~ What is it? ~
Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Volume Conditioner is a hair conditioner that is used after shampooing your hair to add a nice softness to the hair and hopefully add volume which is sometimes a difficult job for a conditioner as they do tend to weight hair down.
~ Why did I buy it? ~
I bought it as I had run out of conditioner and remembered this whilst in Poundland. It was the bottle that first grabbed my attention as it is quite eye catching in it's bright purple/blue shade. I tend to buy matching shampoos and conditioners and this was no exception, I have been buying shampoos specifically for blonde/coloured hair but this looked quite snazzy on the shelf and priced at just £1 each I couldn't resist. I have bought Schwarzkopf Gliss products before and can remember being none too fussed on the shampoo but that the conditioner was good so I was prepared to try again, and if I didn't agree with the shampoo it wouldn't go to waste with there being five other people in the house, not that my littlest would be using it!
~ Is it any good? ~
As a conditioner is does a good job, I always follow my shampoo with conditioner as I feel my dry ended over processed hair does benefit from it. I applied a generous dollop of the conditioner to the whole of my hair and left it for a moment before rinsing it off and even whilst rinsing I could feel the massive difference to my hair, it felt smooth and soft which is a good thing for me. People with greasy roots may want to just apply this to the midsection and lengths of the hair so not to encourage the oils in the scalp.
After drying my hair I think it did look more bouncy than normal, it certainly was easy to manage without being flyaway, I didn't see a massive difference to the volume but there was an added bit of oomph that my hair sometimes lacks.
It has a slightly floral scent, but is more clean and fresh smelling than anything else.
~Overall opinion ~
I liked how it made my hair soft and shiny, and I like the fact there was an added bit of volume, but due to the name - Ultimate Volume I did expect more.
Due to the fact it did do something, not much, but something and that it left my hair shiny and soft, and quite fresh and nice smelling I will award this three stars, I think it is just an average conditioner that doesn't quite live up to it's name.
Thanks for reading :o) x
