an ideal product for me when removing my glued in hair extensions!

I often wear hair extensions and although I prefer to get them sewn in, sometimes I have them glued in using the Salon Pro Bonding glue which is a thick black glue that can be applied to the hair and is then placed onto my scalp to keep it in place. However, sometimes I get hairdressers who are really useless and are not so accurate with the bonding glue and end up gluing the hair extensions to my actual hair. So annoying! Getting this out my hair is a complete snag and often the pulling process ends up pulling out a lot of my own hair too! The solution to this for me is this ace product - Salon Pro Super Hair Bond Remover.

It comes in the similar packaging to the actual bonding glue itself, a small white bottle (which always reminds me of using PVA glue in primary school!) with a red lid which is in the shape of a pointy plastic tip. It can be opened by unscrewing the lid top so the tip reveals a hole through which the bonding remover can be extracted from. The bonding glue remover is a rather thick white liquid, which extract of coconut oil which is ideal for healthy strong hair (apparently!). It has a subtle coconut smell to it which I really like as I have expanded my collection of hair products and own a few coconut oil scalp lotions etc and the smell of coconut on my hair seems to be my favourite at the moment!

It is extremely easy and simple to use, simply unscrew the lid, squeeze out the bonding remover and apply it to where the bonding glue is. I find this is really easy and straightforward to do and is not too complex a task. Of course if you cannot see where in your head the glue is it may be easier to ask for some assistance with this, but for me it is really simple and I have gotten used to doing it on my own. I tend to leave the bond remover on my hair for about 2 minutes, massaging it in gently so it effectively loosens the grip the glue has on my hair/scalp and allows for the hair extensions to be removed with ease and glide of easily without putting any stress of effort on my hair, nor taking any of my own hair with it! Perfect!

Overall, this is a great product and has left me very happy (and most importantly not bald!) after a few odd hair extensions being applied. I currently have the tiny 60ml bottle as I don't tend to glue my hair extensions too often and this costs me about £1.49 in my local hair shop which I think is reasonable and not too overpriced considering the job it does! I would definitely recommend this to anyone else looking for a cheap and effective way to remove bonding glue from their hair!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Overall a good product to use.

I found this product so easy to use to remove the bonding glue used for bonding hair extensions to the hair. I bought this for around £2.50 for a larger size bottle, which I found just about covered my head to remove the extensions.

I found the best way to apply this was to already wet hair, and rub in a little. Then using a thin comb, try to cut the bonding glue apart and comb the extensions out. Overall, it does take quite a while to remove the hair extensions, and can roughly take 2-3 hours to remove the bonding glue properly. I have known people just to rip these out of the hair, but this is the safest albeit the longest method of extension removal.

It is a nice product, and definitely the easiest to use for removing bonding glue although it doesn't smell the nicest and isn't the quickest method! Definitely best to protect your hair.

      Disadvantages

      Great product that works quickly

I have had bonded hair extensions for a while and obvioulsy they do grow out when your hair grows, when this happens, it is time to take them out and put them back in nearer to the root.

I have known some people who have just pulled them out of their, and whilst this is one way of removing them, it is not advisable as it will pull a lot of hair out and damage the hair too. The best way to remove them is to use a bond remover or hair glue dissolver.

My extensions were put in with Salon Pro Hair Bond Glue so I thought the best idea was to use the Salon Pro Super Hair Bond Remover when the time came to take them out, as I didn't want to ruin hair by pulling them out, and I thought it best to use the same brand incase of different ingredients etc. I bought a bottle of the bond remover for £2.50 in the same store I bought my hair and glue from.

The remover is really easy to use, after removing the safety seal from inside the bottle cap, just turn the nozzle to the open position, and squirt some remover on the under side of the bond, and lightly massge it into the bond so it proper soaks in. Do this for all the bonds and after ten minutes, you can just lift the wefts off the hair without any excess effort.

I found this really easy to use, basically just squirt, rub and remove. My hair was not ruined in anyway, and none of my own hair came out when I lifted the weft off my hair. The wefts came out really easy, just slid off my hair. The remover smells quite nice, it has a smell of coconut, which O wasn't expecting. I was expecting this to smell of chemicals or the horrible smell of the glue!

The bottle is white and has a red nozzle which can be turned to open or close so you don't end up spilling any of the product. I found that I had to use the whole bottle to remove my hair extensions. The bottle I bought was a 60ml (2 fl oz) bottle, but there are other sizes available, depending on how many hair extensions you have in, how much glue you have used and how often you take them out. This stuff is storeable, so if you don't use the whole bottle, you can keep it for when you next need to use it, just make sure you keep the nozzle shut to avoid the lotion drying out.

If you use hair extensions that are glued in, this stuff is amazing for removing them without damaging your hair or ruining the extensions. Recommended to all.
