“ Brand: Matrix / Type: Conditioner / Subcategory: Moisturiser / What it does: Hydrates, Moisturises, „
As a lover of hair bleach my hair can often feel very dry and stick like... my mum hates me bleaching my hair and I can only assume she discusses this with her hairdresser and as a result she often walks away from the salon with little samples that her stylist has given for me to try out, to try and sort out the condion of my hair.
The latest samples I have come with are Matrix Total Results Moisture Hydratation shampoo and conditioners - which come in sample sachets. This review is about the conditioner from that range.
The sample packet is mainly white in colour and made out of hard plastic - it comes with a slit in the side made for easy opening to the sachet but this did not work for me and had to result to using scissors to get the liquid out.
The front sachet claims to make hair anti-dry, touchable, radient and replenished with its fibre gloss technology. The total sachet contents come to 10ml / .34 FL oz.
For use you simply apply this to your hair after use of the Matrix shampoo, massage then rinse. The usual warning follows which is if the product goes into your eyes rinse straight away with water.
Like the shampoo in this range, the conditioner is much thicker than your usual product which is great as its less likely to drop any of the product in the middle of the shower.
The conditioner is completely white in colour and like the shampoo it also has an apple scent to it as well as a mixed clean / salon smell which is very pleasant.
I was much more impressed with the conditoner from this range rather than the shampoo which was a huge dissapointment.
The conditoner spreads more easily into your hair - whereas the shampoo doesn't - and appears to leave it brilliantly conditioned and still leaves the scent in your hair after use - however I did leave the conditioner on for 30 minutes during use to get the best out of the product.
However considering this is supposed to be a salon based product, my expectations were much higher and in my opinion it doesnt stand out very much compared to much cheaper products which you can buy on the high street.
Needless to say, a bit dissapointing from Matrix and I am certain I will not be buying the full size products in future...
The conditioner works out slightly higher in price than the shampoo but you can buy this on Amazon for 1L at £13.05. I would advise you to also look out for free samples in salons so you can try before you buy.
