I got this product in one of the monthly beauty boxes I subscribe to. I have fairly long hair and try to put a hair mask/conditioning treatment on it once a week, so I always appreciate receiving this sort of product. I had not heard of the Goldwell brand before using receiving this and haven't noticed or heard of it anywhere since. It seems that they are actually a salon brand and although mainly supplied to stylists they are also available to the general public via several online beauty websites. This particular product is from their Dual Senses range. It is a 60 second gel treatment which promises to give volume and hair full of body. The full sized product seems to come in either a tub or a tube depending on where you buy it. As mine was only a travel size it came in a tube. I actually find a tube preferable for this type of product as with tubs, I find that they can fill up with water when used in the shower, not to mention a flip top lid is easier to handle with wet hands than unscrewing a tub. Using this product couldn't be simpler. You just run the product through freshly shampooed hair, leave for 60 seconds then rinse. Although described as a gel, I'd say that this is more of a gel-crème. It's a pale blue in colour and runs through the hair quite easily. The scent of the product is nice and although I could not pick out one particular fragrance, it smells very fresh and clean and is a unisex scent. It reminds me a little bit of the original Head and Shoulders smell. Whilst the product is nice enough to use, the problems for me start when rinsing. I found that on rinsing this from my hair, I could immediately feel that it was quite tangled and almost sticky feeling - exactly the opposite to what I would have expected it to feel like after using a treatment. Once dry any stickiness disappears from my hair, however I find that the ends of my hair are quite knotted. I persevered with this product - tried leaving it on longer than the recommended 60 seconds and tried applying more liberally, but the results were the same each time, so I do not feel this was a case of 'user error'. I did not notice any of the normal benefits I would expect from a treatment after using this - my hair had no added shine, it didn't feel better (as mentioned before, it was worse!) and I also noticed no volume as promised, so disappointing all round. In fact other than the ends being knotted together (and subsequently snapped off when trying to detangle them) you couldn't actually tell I had used anything on my hair. The full sized product is 200ml and costs £8 from Feelunique.com. I had a 50ml size and got three uses from it - this might not sound like a lot, but given that my hair is very long and thick this isn't too bad. Of course on the whole I wouldn't purchase it, simply because it does not work for me. Overall it is fair to say that I found this product hugely disappointing. It did nothing for my hair and if anything worsened the condition rather than making it better. I have not been left with a positive view of the Goldwell brand and I certainly wouldn't recommend this product.
