“ Brand: Boots / Type: Hair Shampoo „
**Price and Availability** Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Shampoo is available exclusively at Boots (better to go to a larger branch as my local smaller Boots, and the local Boots Pharmacy, though they sell shampoos, do not stock this) and at Boots.com. You can click and collect within 2 days for free or you can pay a small P&P charge. The Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Shampoo costs £1.29 for a good sized bottle (300ml), and for the same price you can buy the same size in the complimenting conditoner. **Looks** It's a plain ish clear plastic bottle with a silver lid, and on the side there is a sticker with Boots Ingredients on the side (this is a sub brand of Boots just like Boots Natural Collection. Overall it looks a bit minimal and sophisticated, very nice for the money. **Scent** I'd say that coconut is the predominant scent for the shampoo though you can pick up a bit of almond when it's being lathered up, and ever so slightly in the damp hair after washing (and conditioning with the complimenting conditioner). It's a really nice scent, though obviously you have to like coconut - I love it. **Washing Your Hair** As I've said this works up a nice, good, thick white and creamy lather with lots of little bubbles on an average 10p sized blob of shampoo in running water (slightly less so in the bath). It rinses out well and leaves the hair squeaky clean. I always condition, so I can't comment on the manageability of the hair on shampooing alone, but I can state that this leaves my hair lovely and clean, free of any product and very soft without being limp. **The Dried Do** After I have washed my hair with Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Shampoo I can smell it ever so faintly on my hair for a few hours, which is nice. My hair is always left fresh and bouncy with a lovely shine, and though I bought the shampoo based on the fact I love the scent, I keep buying it whenever I can because for the money it's a genuinely good shampoo in a larger than average bottle size for an extremely reasonable price. **Recommend?** Highly! I can't find a single problem with it, I think this shampoo will appeal to all. Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Shampoo smells great, leaves your hair clean and manageable, and for just over a quid, will last you ages. Spot on!
I had completely forgotten about Boots' coconut and alumni shampoo and conditioner until a month or so ago when I red a review on Dooyoo about it. I used to use this s lot when I was a student as it was cheap and I love the smell. The shampoo comes in a clear 300ml bulbous bottle with a good flip top which is easy to open and dispense the shampoo from. The shampoo is a clear and quite think so it doesn't run out between your fingers. I use about a fifty pence blob to wash my hair so the bottle is lying a good length of time. The smell is delicious, just of coconut, you can't smell any almond and smells very natural, not like some coconut products which are very artificial smelling. I find the shampoo leaves my hair feeling really clean and smooth and for around £1.25 a bottle I would recommend it, although I do wonder if it leaves my hair feeling a little dry. The conditioner I have had less success with a need to use quite a lot to get my hair de-tangled. I'm sure when I bought it before it worked better, perhaps they changed they ingredients, or perhaps my hair has changed over time. My hair does smell lovely after using both these products together and I find I can smell the coconut on my hair all day, which is nice and makes me feel really clean. I like this shampoo and will buy it again although I think I would find myself an alternative coconut conditioner. There is an intensive conditioning mask in the range, which comes in a tub which I wouldn't mind trying too. A good buy for around £1.25, even better if you can get it on a 3 for 2 offer!
Product: Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Shampoo Price: £1.29 From: Boots I'm getting married in September and I am also in the process of buying an house so as you can imagine I'm trying to save my money wherever possible and that also means using own brands whenever possible too. I'm a huge fan of hair care and over the years I've bought a huge range of hair care products, from expensive brands to lower priced brands, some good and some bad. I have healthy hair so nowadays I don't feel the need to spend a huge amount of money on the more expensive brands when the lower brands can be just as effective. Whilst browsing in my local Boots store I was intending to buy my normal shampoo which costs three times the price as this one costs. Admittedly what first caught my eye was the price; £1.29 for a 300ml sized shampoo was excellent value in my opinion. I have the Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Deep Treatment Masque which is a firm favourite of mine so I was more than willing to give this a go too whilst secretly hoping for the same results. The Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Shampoo are simply packaged in a see through bottle with a frosted lid. The lid is a flip lid making it extremely easy to open. The bottle as a label on the front with a picture of a Coconut and Almond with also the Boots logo and the products name and description. All other relevant information is printed on the label at the back of the bottle. The label clearly states that the Shampoo is for Normal/Dry hair. The Shampoo dispenses from the bottle easily and is of a transparent and runny formula which smells delicious, you get a strong whiff of Coconut with a tiny hint of Almond. I have long thick hair and I use just a little more than a 50p piece size dollop of Shampoo. The Shampoo lathers really well into my hair giving it a thorough clean, it also feels gentle on my scalp. Afterwards my hair feels silky smooth, extremely soft and shiny and best of all feels squeaky clean. I normally wash my hair every 2-3 days and this lasts on my hair until at least the end of the third day. I've been using this Shampoo for at least a month now and it has quickly became one of my favourite Shampoos. I also bought the matching Conditioner which I will also write about in a seperate review. Affordable and gives great long lasting results, I honestly couldn't ask for more in a Shampoo. Dooyoo Stars Rating: A well deserved 5/5.
~Coconut and Almond Shampoo - The Important Information~ This shampoo is part of the Ingredients range that Boots offer. Other products in this collection include a regular conditioner, an intensive mask and a spray in conditioner. This shampoo is aimed at those with normal to dry hair types. It contains extracts of coconut and almond and Boots promise your hair will be left soft, shiny and clean. The shampoo is presented in a clear plastic bottle which features a flip lid. A fresh, simple white label runs around the bottle and aswell as a picture of an open coconut, has all the important product information. The bottle is made from recycled products and the bottle can be recycled (excluding the cap) after use. This shampoo has a 24month shelf life. ~Price and Availability~ Coconut and Almond Shampoo can be bought in Boots stores and from www.boots.com. Expect to pay around £1.29 for a 300ml bottle. This range is often on '3 for 2' offers. ~My Thoughts~ Until recently I had been using the Superdrug Coconut and Almond Shampoo. I found it to be of a poor quality and artificial smelling. I really liked the leave in conditioner in this range so when I finally used up the last drop of the Superdrug shampoo, it made sense to the Boots version. I live around 50m from a small Boots chemist and managed to buy my shampoo from there. I have seen it stocked in the smaller stores which is excellent given that every other shampoo they often have is around the £4.00 mark. This shampoo is a purse-friendly price and well worth it in my opinion. I have been using this alongside the leave in conditioner recently. I use it with an intensive conditioner once a week. My hair is currently long, thick and it does get dry very quickly. I don't spend a lot of time styling it or using a mass of products each day. Some days it gets straightened whilst other days it simply gets thrown up in a hair band to keep it out my face. My hair is pretty much low maintenance but does need washing every 2 days normally. The shampoo is completely clear and adopts a fairly thick, gloopy consistency. I do not need much per wash despite my hair being so long. This shampoo lathers up well when met with soaking wet hair. A creamy, fluffy lather is created and it feels substantial and quite rich. This shampoo is incredibly gentle and actually quite soothing on my scalp. My scalp often becomes itchy when using new products but I found this one to be incredibly gentle. The lather rinses easily from my hair leaving no residue and I can already feel my hair is quite soft. The scent of this shampoo is gorgeous and this scent carries through the full collection. The coconut is the leading scent and smells sweet, fresh and exotic with a soapy undertone. The scent is very natural and certainly not fake like the Superdrug version of the same scent. The scent lingers on my hair beautifully. Not only does this shampoo offer a pleasant scent, it leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean and with a noticeable shine. This shampoo takes some of the dryness away from my hair but I still feel the need to use the leave in conditioner after each wash. Using both products together results in soft, manageable and clean hair which smells gorgeous. I find my hair feels clean and non-greasy until I wash it again 2 days later. ~Conclusion~ Coconut and Almond Shampoo from Boots is definitely a winner in my eyes. It is cheap and performs incredibly well. It is defintely a budget buy but worth so much more than £1.29. I use it sparingly and find that my bottle is lasting really well. Overall I can give this shampoo 5 stars as I cannot fault it. I do alternate my shampoo regularly to avoid my hair becoming too used to the same shampoo but I will definitely buy this again. Thanks for reading :)
I recently bought this from Boots as part of their 3 for 2 on haircare offer. I needed a new shampoo and conditioner but didnt want to pay a lot so I thought I'd give Boots own brand a try. The shampoo comes in a 300ml bottle and costs £1.29 on its own, and is described and being for normal to dry hair. The bottle is clear with a white label on the front showing a piece of coconut and the name of the shampoo, the back has the usual ingredients and directions for use. The product is clear and smells very strongly of coconut, although not so much of almond. It is easy to squeeze out the bottle and you dont need a lotto get a good lather going on. It feels nice and soft on your hair and fills the bathroom with a nice tropical aroma of coconuts, it also rinses out really easily. One I had dried my hair I found it still smelled very fresh and coconutty, even after using the hairdryer. My hair felt light a soft too. Some shampoos for dry hair can weigh my hair down and make it feel greasy but this didnt do that at all. I also found that my hair had a bit more volume and bounce than usual. The coconut smell also lasts throughout the day too which is great as every so often I get a whiff of tropical goodness! Overall I would defintely recommend this shampoo, especially for its bargain price of £1.29. I do prefer other brands such as Aussie hair products but for hair care on a budget this is definitely a great product!
I recently purchased both the shampoo and the conditioner from this Boots range to take away to a conference with me (I didn't want to cart my giant 900ml bottles of Tresemme with me!). I just wanted something cheap and cheerful and picked these up as they cost £1.29 per 300ml bottle. This is a coconut and almond shampoo which is from the 'Ingedients' range of Boots own brand products and it is aimed at normal to dry hair (which mine generally is). The bottle has a flip top lid and is a standard round, straight up and down shape. The product comes out through a squeeze function so it is fairly easy to dispense. The picture on the front is of a rather appealing looking slice of fresh coconut and an almond nut - fairly self explanatory! The shampoo itself is an opaque, milky colour and it smells rather amazing, very strongly of coconut (fine if you like the smell - it could be overpowering if you are not keen!). I could not particularly detect any almond scent in mine - mainly because of the strength of the coconut scent. I found that this is actually a very nice shampoo for such a cheap one - the smell stays in your hair for ages and it cleanses very well. I liked the fact that this lathers up very easily and it makes your hair actually feel clean while you are using it. The lather washes out very easily too and I never feel like it needs a second go. Personally I was impressed with how good this shampoo is and I really like the smell of it too so it is definitely one I would buy again for a change from my usual shampoo or to travel with.
This is a review of Boots Ingredients coconut and almond shampoo for normal to dry hair.n I bought this and a couple of other shampoo / conditioners from the range in a three for two offer. My main thoughts were behind the main ingredients of the shampoo, I love the smell of coconut and also the fact that it was clear appealed as it would hopefully clean my hair well. Packaging The shampoo is only available in a 300ml bottle which is a good size in my opinion as it doesn't take up too much room on the side and is easy to lift. The top is a flip cap which works effectively to keep the product sealed when not in use. I liked the clean and simple lines of the white label which features a picture of the inside of a coconut balanced on an almond. The plastic bottle is also recyclable when finished with. In use I do have quite long hair and found I needed to use a lot of the product each time to get a decent lather going. It seemed quite runny and watered down so a 300ml bottle didn't last as long as I had hoped. I usually use a 50p sized amount of shampoo but I was using at least three times this. The smell was pleasant but not overpowering and did not linger long after washing. I used it with and without conditioner and whilst it cleaned my hair, the clean effect did not last beyond 24 hours. I was washing my hair more often whilst using this shampoo. Price and availability The shampoo was around £1.25 a bottle but as I mentioned above, it was on a 3 for 2 offer when I bought it so it seemed like a bargain at the time. The shampoo is exclusive to Boots and as such is only available from their stores. Final word I wasn't overly impressed with this shampoo. It felt quite cheap to me and I needed a lot each time I washed my hair. It reminded me of the free shampoos you get at the gym or in dispensers at hotels. The fragrance is nice but not long lasting. I thought this was a bargain when I first bought it but like the other shampoo I tried from this range I will not be repurchasing it in a rush!
One of my favourite fragrances that I feel is really fresh and clean is the smell of coconuts. I recently stocked up with a load of different shampoos and conditioners and along with the intensive conditioner from this range of products I decided to try the shampoo out too. The Packaging: The bottle is see-through plastic with a frosted flip-to lid to the top of it concealing a small hole and around the middle of it there is a white label and on the front of that label we are told that it is Boots Ingredients Coconut & Almond Shampoo 'Normal To Dry Hair' and there is a photograph of a coconut and an almond on there. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, warnings are listed, as is the size which is 300ml and the only size that I am aware that it is available to purchase in and contact details for Boots are given. Nice, simple enough and very plan packaging this is whist remaining informative enough. The Shampoo Itself: Runny and transparent this has a wonderful rich fragrance of coconuts to it and a little massaged into damp/wet hair is all that is needed to get a rich white lather going on. It rinses out easily and of course you can lather rinse and repeat if you want to. This leaves hair smelling freshly fragranced for a good few hours but just as importantly this doesn't weigh the hair down and really does deep cleanse the hair and scalp and it leaves hair gently moisturised and looking radiantly healthy with a decent shine. This is a nice, economical every-day type of shampoo great for drier hair as it is a gentle moisturising formula. Only available in Boots stores at about £1.30 a bottle
I've used lots of different shampoos over the years ranging from the very cheap to the slightly expensive. I saw this shampoo in my local Boots when it was on offer and as I was trying to save money, I thought I'd try it. ---The product: The Boots Ingredients Coconut and Almond Shampoo is specifically designed for normal to dry hair. As I tend to count my hair as normal, I thought this would be the one to get. It comes in a 300ml clear plastic bottle with a label with the name of the product and a picture of an open coconut resting on an almond. The back of the label contains information about how to use it and all the ingredients as well. It also tells us that the bottle is made from recycled material and can be recycled again. The lid can be flipped open or completely unscrewed if necessary. ---Using the product: The flip lid makes the product easy to use as it is easy to open whilst in the shower. The shampoo comes out clear in your hand and is easily massaged into your hair. I don't find you need a lot of it to effectively clean your hair which means that it works out as very good value as it will last for a lot of washes. It lathers reasonably well and then rinses out very easily. After rinsing my hair, it feels cleaner and smells faintly of coconut which my husband is not overly keen on but I don't notice it now after using it for about 6 months! It does not make my hair untangled (I leave that to the conditioner), but it does feel much cleaner. The package does state that it is supposed to moisturise and make hair shiny and whilst my hair does feel moisturised after using this and the conditioner, I haven't noticed it to be any shinier. ---And finally: Since using this shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner I find that my hair is in very good condition. My hair is easy to mange and the effect lasts for several days before I need to wash it again. It is easy to get the shampoo out of the bottle and when it nears the end I just shake the bottle (with the lid closed) or leave it stood upside down to help get the last bits out. I would definitely recommend this shampoo and at 91p per bottle, you can't go very wrong.
