lovely vanilla fragrance - shame it doesn't last

One of the gifts that I received for my birthday a few months ago was a bottle of Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake Bath & Shower Gel, and a bottle of this Vanilla Body Mist from The Body Shop. The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist comes in a 100ml bottle, and a quick look on their website tells me that this retails for £7.50. The vanilla body mist comes in a clear bottle, with a spray pump dispenser. I like that the bottle is clear so that I can see how much of the body mist is left. The spray nozzle works perfectly, it actually sprays quite a large fine mist, as opposed to a concentrated spritz that you would get with a bottle of perfume. I guess it works this way as it's marketed as a 'body mist' rather than an actual perfume. The body mist is suitable to use all over your body, and I do spray mine all over. I typically layer mine with the Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake bath & shower gel that I received at the same time, and so I'm layering the vanilla scent. Even though I'm layering the vanilla scent I don't find that the vanilla fragrance lasts all that long on my skin. I normally take my bottle of body mist out with me and top up a couple of times throughout the day. I actually find that the vanilla scent seems to linger much longer on my clothes than on my actual skin. Although this is only a body mist and not a perfume I do think that it's quite disappointing that the fragrance doesn't last longer. The body mist does smell really lovely though. It's quite a light and refreshing vanilla fragrance, but it's still quite a warm and sweet vanilla fragrance. It doesn't smell sickly sweet of vanilla at all, it's actually quite a 'light' vanilla scent if that makes sense. It's a summery vanilla fragrance rather than a wintery vanilla fragrance. I guess by that I mean that it's not a spicy and heady vanilla scent which makes you think of cold winter nights, but a light and sweet vanilla fragrance which makes you think of warm summer nights. It's perfect for the summer months as it's so light and refreshing. I like the fact that it's quite cooling when I spray it on to my skin, and it feels fab if you've kept it in the fridge and then spritzed it over your hot skin. Ordinarily I probably wouldn't repurchase this body mist as I was quite disappointed with its longevity. However I've still got around half a bottle of my Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake bath & shower gel left, so I'm going to buy another bottle of the vanilla body mist to use with the remainder of my vanilla shower gel.

Not one of the best for me, the vanilla can be an acquired taste

=The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist= This is an own brand Body shop product, it can be brought in store and on-line from the Body Shop website. If you purchase online it is always worth looking out for offers as there are regular offers from money off to free postage. =Body Mist= I like the Body Mist range, and at Christmas I saw the Vanilla in the body mist and decided that i would have a treat. =Price= This is priced at £7.50 for a 100ml bottle, but don't forget to use your Love your body shop card and you will get another 10% off the purchase price. I purchased mine online when I had a 35% offer, which was a nice reduction on the price. =The Bottle= The bottle comes in a glass bottle, which when your paying normal price is the least you would expect, but from a point of view that I like to chuck things into my handbag this is not suitable. The bottle is tall and this leads to a peaked top, with a silver coloured spray button, this is then covered ny a silver plastic cap, which has a metallic look. On the front of the bottle it tells you what the scent is and what the product is as well as having a picture of a vanilla pod and a flower. =My Experience= When I first sprayed I noticed how fine the mist was, I sprayed it onto my scarf so i could decide whether I liked the smell after the initial spray, as sprays do change on a person, I could smell the vanilla straight away but it was not over powering, I sprayed about 2 or 3 times over the scarf. The smell was a light vanilla smell, it had a good staying power, as I could still smell the vanilla after 5 hours, it was still light, but not over powering. =Other Vanilla Products= I feel that if I had of used other vanilla products such as body butter then this would compliment the spray and be a base for it and maybe strengthen the smell. =Would I buy again= While I would buy the Vanilla body mist again, I would buy other flavours, as I felt the vanilla was not strong enough for me, and also an acquired taste, also it reminds me of cake mixture as your adding Vanilla to that.

        Vanilla Body Mist

The Product = = = = = = The product I am reviewing is the Vanilla Body Mist from The Body Shop. Being a huge of vanilla and anything that smells like it, I couldn't resist purchasing this body mist when I was purchasing other things on The Body Shop website. I actually had a 35% off voucher so it would save me some money on the product as well. I'm not sure what it is I like about vanilla so much but I love the sweet smell and I love the taste even better. I recently purchased the Strawberry Body Mist from The Body Shop and was a little disappointed at the longevity of the scent so after reading some really good reviews about this product I thought I would just go ahead and buy it anyway. I have purchased other Vanilla products from The Body Shop and have been impressed with the strength of the smell so I was hoping that this was going to be good and smell nice. The Body Mist is lightly scented with a delicious, sweet vanilla scent and contains real vanilla extract. The scent of the product is light and fresh and is suitable for use all over the body. I was a little disappointed to find that the body mist comes in a glass spray bottle rather than a plastic one as this would put me off carrying it in my handbag with me which is what I like to do with some body sprays/mist to keep the scent of the product topped up. The bottle is tall and has a slightly rounded top where you will find the silver spray button. This button is covered by a plastic cap which is a silver metallic colour. On the front of the bottle it states what the scent and what the product is and it also has a picture of a vanilla pod and flower on the front of the bottle. Although the bottle is made from clear glass there is a slight tint to it and you can clearly see the liquid inside the bottle which I presume is a clear colour. Price/Availability = = = = = = = = I purchased this from The Body Shop website where I actually got 35% off the product, so it was very reasonable. The product is priced at £7.50 for a 100ml bottle of the body spray which I do think is a little pricey for this. You can also purchase the product in store as well but I would always recommend checking online first as IO find that they tend to have more offers online which can save you a good amount of money. Using the Product = = = = = = = = I sprayed the product onto the clothing I was wearing and also onto the jumper that I would be taking out with me which I could put on if I got chilly. The body mist comes out in a very fine mist. I wasn't sure how strong the smell was going to be so I sprayed it 3 times on my jumper and at least 4 times on my body. The worst thing that could happen is I would smell slightly overpowering and very sweet! I was surprised that as soon as I sprayed the mist I couldn't immediately smell the vanilla scent of the product but shortly after spraying it I could smell the sweet smell which I found very pleasant. I decided not to take the bottle with me and left it at home. This would also give me a good indication on how well the body mist lasts during the day. I left the house and went to get my bus and as I was standing there I could smell a nice, light vanilla scent which I thought smelt lovely. Although I sprayed the product a fair few times the smell of the product wasn't actually overpowering and didn't smell sickly sweet which was good. I went to work as normal and during the day I would get occasional whiffs of the body mist which smelt refreshing. If I had of taken the bottle to work with me then I would have sprayed the product a few more times during the day to keep the scent topped up. At the end of the day the scent was much lighter and not as strong but I would still smell it on my clothes which was nice as I did get the occasional scent of the product every now and again. Overall Opinion = = = = = = = After reading some of the reviews about this product I did have quite high hopes of it and I was expecting it to last a lot longer than the Strawberry Body Mist that I had previously tried. Although you can't smell the scent of the body mist straight away, shortly after spraying it you can smell the lovely, sweet and fresh vanilla smell which I love. I was impressed that I occasionally got whiffs of the scent of the product as I was going about my daily duties and when being at work. This was nice as at least I knew that the smell of the body mist hadn't disappeared completely. Although I would have sprayed the product again had I had the bottle on me I was pleased with the scent that lasted on my clothes and the fact that I would still smell the product slightly at the end of the day. I love that the body mist isn't overpowering or too sweet if you spray just the right amount. If you did over the top in spraying the body mist then I think this would probably become rather too sweet and would also smell a little sickly as well. In terms of value I do think the body mist is rather pricey, so I am glad I purchased it with a 35% off voucher. I would purchase this product again, how-ever I would only purchase it at a discounted price and I would never pay full price for it as although the product smells gorgeous I do think it's slightly over-priced. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves the scent of Vanilla and someone who likes to smell sweet. (review also on ciao)

i like this, hoping to nab another on sale again!

The Bodyshop near my work place really is the cause of my purse being constantly empty! They recently had a sale on which lured me in to see if I get in early with some discounted christmas presents and as per usual I ended up with some treats for myself. I got a small 60ml bottle of Vanilla Shower Gel for a snazzy £1 and this 100ml bottle of Vanilla Body Mist for a super £3. I think this is due to the products all getting a bit of a revamp and this now comes in slightly new packaging but still I was happy with my bargain! It comes in a long tube, similar to looking like air freshener (owners of Avon Room & Linen sprays know what I am talking about lol) with a pump spray to dispense the body mist all over. The body mist has a really luxurious vanilla scent which is my favourite scent from The Body Shape range (aside from the Strawberry Body Butter I have recently gotten a bit infatuated with) and I got this as an exciting alternative to the vanilla eau de toilette as of course this was much cheaper. In terms of scent I think this does have the warm and exotic vanilla scent found in the eau de toilette but does seem a lot more watered down and not as exuberant as the less diluted version. I tend to use this after I have had a shower, and used a neutral smelling body moisturiser by spraying it on my body (whilst only wearing underwear I might add!). I find this allows it to soak into my skin just that little bit more effortlessly and has a longer lasting effect. I like this scent in all seasons as I think it is so timeless and I really can't get enough of it! I find using this body mist creates a lovely aura and long lasting effect that I carry with me all day. I would definitely recommend this body mist to anyone who is a fan of the vanilla body shop range and finds the eau de toilette a bit too strong. It's not overly sweet but also really girly a the same time. The aroma is really long lasting, and honestly only one or two sprays lasts me all over and throughout the day. For £3 I really can't quarrel with the value of this and at this price I would totally recommend, but at £7.50 I am not too convinced everyone will buy it!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A nice spray if bought in sale and worn in moderation.

I love The Body Shop and naturally became very excited a while back to find massive posters in every store's window advertising a 50% sale. This Vanilla Body Mist was one item I bought from this sale (among many, many other things)! It would appear this particular product was placed in the sale as it was being discontinued. And by discontinued I mean updated packaging and change of name. The Vanilla Body Mist is now called 'Madagascan Vanilla Flower Body Mist' and, as far as I can tell, is still the exact same product. The updated product can be bought online and instores for £7.50 for 100ml. As I got mine in the sale in the now old packaging (the same shown in the picture supplied by Dooyoo) I paid a much nicer £3 for mine. My Body Mist comes in a clear plastic bottle with spray nozzle and clear plastic lid. The product itself has a sort of orange/brown tinge to it which adds colour to the bottle whilst The Body Shop's logo is displayed along with the product name as product description which simply reads 'spritz-on irresistibility with warm Vanilla scent.' I own many Body Mists from The Body Shop and find them to be a great way to add a light but detectable scent which is great for everyday wear or layering a particular scent. Products also included in the Madagascan Vanilla Flower range are an Eau De Toilette (£15 - 50ml), body lotion (£10 - 250ml), perfume oil (£7 - 15ml) and a shower gel (£6.50 - 250ml). Whilst I do really like this scent I do think layering it or having it a stronger form such as perfume would be a little too overpowering so I just stick with the Body Mist in this fragrance personally. On first spritz of this I find the spray has quite an alcohol type scent which isn't particularly pleasant. Fortunately the scent settles within seconds at which point that alcohol smell disappears. Once settled you're greeted by a beautifully sweet and rich vanilla scent. For me a few squirts of this doesn't ever become sickly sweet although I do think too much of this scent very easily would be and I also find it's a bit of a love/hate scent as opinion seems to be very divided amongst my friends. Personally though, I really like it and I think anybody who likes that sweet scent would be a fan too. I tend to just spray a bit of this one during my breaks at work just to freshen up a little bit and I find it is great for that use. It's something I'd happily wear to work and just for shopping etc but wouldn't spray for a night out or special occasion. I find the scent lasts for about three hours on skin although that almost doubles when sprayed on clothes and hair so this is where I normally apply mine. All in all this is a really nice spray from The Body Shop great for casual wear. I do think £7.50 for a bottle is too pricey though given the perfume oil is 50p cheaper and would almost definitely stay put for a whole lot longer. But then, I do think a perfume in this scent would be too strong and sickly sweet too! I'd happily repurchase if able to get a bottle for £3 again though!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

All in all, a lovely buy to wear occasionally

Body mist is one of my preferred alternatives to perfume. First of all, here are some pros and cons of using body mist in general as opposed to using perfume: PROS: - It is many times cheaper than a typical bottle of esteemed perfume, for usually much much more body mist; so this is a good way to save money. - The smell is not too extravagant, meaning you can get the body mist in simple yet delicious flavours such as the vanilla one being reviewed. - Body mists are usually packaged in plastic bottles instead of the irregularly shaped perfume ones, so it is easier to avoid smashing it and spillages. Also, this makes it more convenient to carry it out and about whilst you are travelling. CONS: - Perfume is often seen as the more sophisticated choice, as it does not just have one simple flavour, so that it is more impressive to give as a gift. - Perfume lasts for much longer than body mist, so that with body mist you will be in need of frequent reapplications. - Perfume tends to be more fragrant, with a multitude of different smells, whereas with body mist, it is easy to overdo the scent, to the point of it being sickly. Having covered the main pros and cons of body mist, here are my views on this product: PRICE: I was very gleeful to find this product on sale for the meager amount of £3 at the Body Shop store near me, and I bought it without much thought as it was to my understanding that it cost much more at its Recommended Retail Price. This was relatively cheap for a body mist, and only a fraction of the amount of which a tiny perfume bottle would have cost. Good fragrances do not usually come cheap and so I was very pleased with my buy. SMELL / FRAGRANCE: This body mist had a lovely fragrant vanilla smell, which, even in cold weather, could bring back memories of summer. It had a prominent smell, so I only needed a tiny amount to make an impact, so this was very good value. However, I found that if I sprayed even a little bit too much, the scent started to become a little bit overpowering and sickly, which was a shame. I would have preferred it if the Body Shop had weakened the body mist to make it not so strong, but unfortunately, I find it too much so to wear it on an every day basis. PACKAGING AND QUALITY: The body mist was packaged in a simple yet effective plastic bottle with the logo, ingredients etc. printed on it. The liquid was a golden yellow colour, and could flow freely; this was dispensed through a spray nozzle (much as you would find on a bottle of perfume) for convenience. I have never had any problems with the quality of this body mist; the smell, even after six months after purchase, remains just as lovely as ever. IN CONCLUSION: This is a lovely body mist, but because of its strength, I would not advise wearing it as a daily scent; occasionally only. It is a brilliant alternative to perfume, and I would highly recommend it.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

A decent body mist for general use

I bought this online via an auction site for £3 and free postage. The Body Shop were selling this for £7 so I got a bargain! The body mist comes in a 100ml bottle with a pump that activates the mist. You simply press down on the pump and spray the mist onto your body. You can spray the mist onto dry skin during the day or you can spritz it on after a bath or shower. I am pleased to say that the mist itself has a nice effect on the skin and it doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky and/ or greasy. You achieve a decent amount of spray per application and the pump is good quality, it has never failed to spray for me. Plus once the spray has gone you can fill the bottle with something else! I would describe the scent of the spray as very much a sweet scent. Yes, it does smell of Vanilla, but it is a sweet Vanilla - unlike Lush's Vanilla range. The scent lingers on your skin for a few hours after first using the spray and the smell is pleasant and not too strong. It's not an overpowering scent. It's a lovely feminine scent and quite a light scent too. It's lovely and great for all year round use. The spray doesn't deodorise the body so you will still need to use deodorant with this. However, this spray is great for general use and it cools you down during the hot summer months. It wasn't bad for £3 but I don't think I would have spent £7 on this as it is just a body spray at the end of the day!

          Disadvantages

A very pleasent vanilla scent, thats lasts all day, strong in fragrance yet not overpowering

The body shop Vanilla Body mist is one is my favourite scents and is really good value for money especially for me because I use it as a perfume spray on my wrists, I find it is even better than the body shops Vanilla perfume oil, Which I also currently own however I have just checked the body shop website and I can't seem to find their perfume oils I can only see their White musk 30mls which is reduced to £7.70 from £11, a good buy in my opinion, I bought 2 bottles of it last year when they had an offer on, anyway back to the point lol I find that the Vanilla body spray is more true to Vanilla than the perfume oil, you don't need much and the smell is divine! It comes in a 100ml bottle which lasts for ages especially if you use it in place of your usual perfume. I find as a body mist, it takes a bit too long to dry and feels a bit sticky for a while afterwards! It comes in a brown transparent plastic bottle with a screw on non aerosol pump, the product comes out in a nice fine mist unlike other brands I have tried that comes out more wet which can feel unpleasant especially as the weather is getting colder! I find vanilla to be a very pleasant and warming smell I love it as does my hubby when I wear it, but if you don't like sweet smells this will definitely not be for you as you may find it a bit sickly!

            A delicious smelling refreshing spray

I got this spray for Christmas and have loved the smell. I have found the spray easy to use, as you just remove the plastic cap and spray. You can see how much is left through the clear bottle, and you only need a couple of sprays to smell amazing. The bottle is handy to fit in your bag, or take away on holiday due to it being made of plastic and being quite compact. The spray smells really lovely, which I would say is a kind of musky smell with vanilla notes but is not too overpowering. It is also quite gentle scent and feels so on your skin. The only downside in my opinion is that I have found it doesn't last too well. I have needed to reapply the spray throughout the day but it still smells lovely and is refreshing. However, it is good to keep in your bag at work to refresh up throughout the day. I have found it makes you feel energised and good to have with you when you need it.

A good quality body mist from The Body Shop, just not this vanilla fragrance!

I do love The Body Shop and a lot of their products, even though I do think they are a little over priced. This is why I never buy myself Body Shop products unless they are on sale or if I buy online from their website, as they often always have some sort of special offer where you can save a lot of money and also get free delivery. This vanilla body mist is something I received in a gift set by a relative for christmas. I don't usually opt for the vanilla scented things when it comes to the Body Shop products, but I don't not like it either, I just prefer their satsuma or strawberry range. The body mist came with some vanilla bath and shower gel and I can't remember what else, as I took everything out the set and just keep them in a big box where I put all my toiletries until I need to get some out, as I have a lot! I have used the bath and shower gel recently which made me want to try the body mist too to go with it. However, I was quite shocked at just how strong the scent was. It was very overpowering for me and I couldn't bear how strong it was when I first sprayed it. It was fine after a while of spraying it as the smell wasn't so strong, but when I first spray it, it is just too sickly for my liking. The shower gel is nowhere near as strong as the body mist and so this is also why I was quite shocked when I came to spray this the first time. The smell does stay on some time so it is a good quality product. I just don't want the scent to last long on me as I don't like this particular one. I wouldn't be afraid to try the other fragrances of this though as I know they would last a long time, I would just make sure I tested the product first before I bought it. If buying online you can't do this unless of course you have already tested it in the shop previously. When I searched for this product to review on here, I was expecting some similar reviews to mine but it appeared to have good ratings, so I am guessing it is a product which you will either love or hate. If you do like vanilla then I would definitely recommend this product, but unfortunately this product just isn't for me, and I no longer use it. It has also put me off vanilla scented products not only from The Body Shop, but from anywhere else too. A 100ml bottle of this costs £7 from the Body Shop, which I do think is quite expensive. There are other fragrances to choose from including white musk, jasmin, cherry blossom, morrocoan rose and a new one called midnight bakula.

vanilla spray from the Body Shop

I am a huge fan of anything scented with vanilla, so was thrilled to receive a bottle of Body shop vanilla body mist as a gift this Christmas. I often shop in the Body shop and was surprised that I had never seen this spray before; otherwise I would have reviewed it long ago! The Body Shop vanilla body mist to give it its full name comes in a clear plastic 100ml bottle, with pump action spray top. The clear bottle does allows the lovely amber coloured liquid contained within to show through, although the bottle wouldn't win any beauty prizes and really doesn't do justice to the gorgeous scent that awaits. The pump action spray works well however, so full marks here! This body spray contains Bergamot, peach, strawberry and orange flower. The instructions suggest you spray liberally after a bath or shower. The first thing I would say is that this spray smells absolutely gorgeous! I love vanilla as I think it has a warm, sweet smell, which somehow makes me feel happy. This spray has a very distinctive vanilla scent although it is not overpowering, nor does it smell synthetic as some vanilla fragrances can. I really wasn't expecting this spray to be very long lasting as it is a spray and not an expensive perfume. However I was very pleasantly surprised by how long the scent lasted. If I spray after my shower in the morning I can still detect the scent at lunch time. Since wearing this spray I have received many compliments too, so I am not alone in my love of vanilla! I have a sensitive skin and some perfumes and sprays can aggravate, causing a rash. However I have used this spray since Christmas on a daily basis with no problems. I sometimes spray this mist when I am dressed. I am pleased to report that it hasn't caused any staining of my clothing, although I wouldn't spray it on white clothing. Overall I really love this spray and will definitely be buying it again. It is only available from the body shop both in stores and online. A 100ml bottle costs £7.00, which I think is a fair price for a fragrance that smell gorgeous and lasts well too!

A lovely scented body spray that leaves skin with a creamy vanilla essence

Introduction~ I've recently become quite a fan of The Body Shop again, after some 'time away' from using their products. As it was my birthday recently and now with Christmas, I have received quite a few Body Shop goodies which I'm certainly not complaining about. One such product I received was this Vanilla body spray (in amongst a bag with several other body shop items that my cousin has seemingly done her own 'pick and mix' and bought me a selection of items); this is one I have almost used up now since receiving 4 weeks ago so it's now review time.. This vanilla body spray comes housed in a tall, cylindrical shaped 100ml bottle. This is made of a peachy coloured looking plastic bottle that has a transparency to it, thus making the contents clearly visible. As it is a body spray it has a nozzle at the top of the bottle which is a pump spray and is easily activated by pressing until the spray emits. Though this was a gift, I have looked online and found it to cost £7, which quite frankly is quite expensive for what is *just* a body spray at the end of the day. Nevertheless I shall now give you my honest opinion on the product at hand.. My experience~ I have become quite a fan of the body shop's products again and in particular their fragrances. I have bought and received a few of their perfumes as gifts over the past few Birthday/Christmases but I haven't tried any of their body sprays up until now. One of my favourite fragrances is vanilla so I was very excited to test this out and I have been fairly impressed with it's performance to be honest. On first spritzing this all over my body I was taken aback at how strong the vanilla smells and even has the same intensity as the eau de toilette. Even after it starts to fade, the scent is still strong in comparison with other brands of body sprays which don't linger very long once applied. Once the initial hit of vanilla has faded there is a soft and sweet aroma that coats the skin and has an almost velvet feel to it. It's a beautiful body spray that has just the right balance; the vanilla is sweet yes, but not overly sickly like some vanilla scented sprays can be, but this sits well when sprayed on my body. Would I recommend this?~ Because of the price I would have been very hesitant at buying something of this nature at this price, though the 'body spray' title doesn't do it justice. As mentioned it comes across as strong as the eau de toilette and lingers for a remarkable length of time so if you take all of that into consideration then it's actually quite economical. I have used this frequently since I received it and have just 1/3 of the bottle remaining, but because I have been so impressed with it I would definitely buy it for myself when the bottle does run out. Like vanilla? You will love this then.

                  .

I really like The Body Shop, but either have loads of it to use when I stock up, or none left after I have used it all up. I don't buy it online, instead wait until 1 of our trips to edinburgh to stock up on it. At least when in the shop you can sniff before you buy. I got this one as part of a present with another Body Mist. This comes in a pump action spray bottle which is 100ml. I didn't know how much this cost, but have just looked online and see it is £7. Wow, that's a bit expensive for a Body Spray. I normally moan about the right price of Impulse, but then again The Body Shop is that bit more special. Yes, you know the prices are more expensive, but I think they are worth the extra price. The bottle looks like the Dooyoo picture. Just a clear plastic bottle where you can see the light orange liquid easy enough to see how much is left. The pump reaches all the way down to the bottom so you should get every drop out of this. There is a stick on wrap around label and although this isn't colourful or eye catching it is ok. It looks quite expensive once you catch the Body Shop Logo, but it's not all that. So how does this smell? Quite strong. You only need a few pumps of this to give a good scent. I would normally spray 4 pumps of this in the morning and that was up and down my body. This gives a good coverage, and the pump goes in a large enough radius. This is very sweet and the only note in here is Vanilla. I suppose if there was another note then it would break it up a bit, but since this is Vanilla then I guess it was always all about the vanilla scent. Although this is pretty expensive it does last a good lenght of time. I always think that Pump action bottles last longer than aerosols, but since this is strong then I think it lasts even longer again. A nice Body Spray, and I would recommend this one if you like Sticky Sweet Vanilla scents. Not my favourite in the range, but a really nice change.

                  good quality

I love the scent of Vanilla and have lots of candles and bath products in vanilla, so I couldn't really resist buying this body mist spray from the bodyshop when I went into town last week. It cost me £7 for a 100ml bottle which is very reasonable for a nice scent that lasts all day. I collect perfume bottles but this one isn't really a collectable as it's a simple plastic bottle designed with a vanilla pod on the front so it won't be kept after I have used it up. I like the bodyshop products as they are not tested on animals and use natural ingredients and the shops always smell lovely when you walk past so it's always tempting to wander in and purchase something from there. I'm glad I did wander in as I love this boby spray, which is not too overpowering but is a subtle scent that you only need a little of and it will last you all day. You only need a small amount for the scent to linger and you can really smell the vanilla tones coming from this scent, it's not flowery or fruity just a nice vanilla sweet scent. It is a light spray mist that lingers on the skin. There are no added colours and this is suitable for sensative skin. I have to be careful of what I use on my skin as it is sensative and also some strong perfumes will set my nose running and make me sneeze but this one has been tried and tested by me a few times over the past few days and I love it. I was surprised at the small amount of money I had to pay to buy it as perfume is usually expensive, but I'm not complaining and I will be buying it again. This is something I like and would recommend it to you and it would also make a nice christams present for any woman if your on a budget. It can be popped into your handbag and used whenever you want, it can be sprayed onto the skin or onto your clothes without marking them as it is a fine light spray and it lasts for hours so you don't have to keep applying it. The skin absorbs it quickly so it's not wet for ages on your skin, a little spray on the wrist and you can rub one wrist onto the other to spread the scent, which makes the bottle last longer. A great spray at a great price.

A lovely light body mist from the body shop

As well as an Eau de toilette the body shop also produce a body mist which is a good option for those that either like the smell but wan something that will be a little more subtle than the perfume or those who absolutley love the smell and want to enhance the perfume. I am probably in the former category as although I do like the smell of the vanilla perfume quite a lot I wouldn't like to over do it by layering the products. The mist is a great option for night time when I have had a bath and want to smell nice but don't want to waste my perfume on sitting in front of the TV. It smells exactly the same as the vanilla perfume but only in a more mild formulation. It is sweet and delicious but more like the scent you would get from a body butter rather than the sronger smell you would get from perfume. The mist like the perfume actually reminds me of cookies for some reason although it isn't an overwhelming sweet smell because it actually has a bit of musk in there too. It comes out like a fine mist and a few sprays is enough to coat the entire body leaving it smelling lovely and it lasts a surprisingly long time. I can srpay this at night and still smell it on my skin in the morning. Obviously it is only subtle at this point but for the body shop this is great as I normally find that their products do not last long enough. The body mists at the body shop aren't the cheapest products in the world at around £7 but they are lovely for a treat and they last for absolutely ages so really they work out quite cheap when you break it down into a month by month costing. If you want something to help you relax and smell gorgeous at the same time then I highly recommend the vanilla body mist and if you really like the smell then combine it with the perfume for maximum effect because it is very subtle on it's own and you might be dissapointed in it otherwise.
