I bought this perfume from Matalan for just £9.99. My bottle is the 30ml version.
The bottle is pink in colour with black swirls going up it. The perfume is a fruity floral with a hint of musk. It does smell quite strong when you first spray it as the sudden floral notes hit you. I would say that the perfume smells very fresh. It is a definite feminine scent but I think it would be too strong for some women. It's a little too strong for me so I don't wear it that often.
Upon first spraying the scent you are met by strong floral notes. The scent then remains like this for around twenty minutes before it starts to fade. Once the scent has settled the more musky notes appear. The perfume does get weaker so if you're initially put off by the strong floral scent stick with it as it does get better! I would say that the perfume is more suited to daytime and/ or casual wear. The staying power of the scent is good but not brilliant. Once the musky notes appear the scent stays with you for around four hours before disappearing completely. The perfume does need topping up regularly throughout the day. This can be a little frustrating as I don't like carrying perfume bottles around with me.
This scent is what I would describe as average. It's nice enough but the staying power (or lack of it) lets it down. The bottle is pretty though and easy to hold. Plus it's black and pink, my two favourite colours!
2009 - Christmas morning. An excited rush to open those presents, the one you already know is a bottle of perfume because of the thourough box inspection and shake of the parcel a few days previously. To unwrap the paper, with gleaming eyes watching for your reaction as you rip open the paper to look at the box. . . . To be met by the name of Paris Hilton, staring at you from your highly anticipated Christmas present, to then smile politely, hiding the grimace that is waiting to burst out whilst disappointedly muttering Paris Hilton under your breath!
Yes this was my, perhaps some one selfish reaction to the other half's Christmas present. To say that I don't like Paris Hilton would be some what of an understatement. To politely mask my initial reaction I unwillingly opened the bottle and took a whiff of the perfume and very, very surprisingly I liked the smell. This perfume has since grew on me a lot and has perhaps become one of my favourite perfumes.
The Paris Hilton perfume sheer, is of course, made by hers truly, Paris Hilton! It was first introduced in 2005 which makes It a good six years old. The good thing about this however is that It is rather cheep to buy. It currently available in boots for £25 for a 50ml bottle. I can say that I have never had to buy a bottle of this for myself however as it always lasts until somebody buys me another one at a birthday or Christmas. I don't wear it every day but it definitely has lasting power.
The boots description of the perfume is something of a mouthful and rather than listing the ingredients of the perfume it sound like it has just cropped out of Paris Hiltons own mouth, here goes; "The fragrance opens with sweet sophistication. Cool and radiant, the top notes present an ethereal halo with delicious notes of frozen Apple and juicy Peach Nectar wrapped with dewy Lily of the Valley and a splash of Wet Ozone. A luminous bouquet of sensuous floral's is at the heart of this fragrance. Delicate Mimosa Blossoms are entwined with sheer Freesia and Night Blooming Jasmine petals, while heady, rich Tuberose provides depth and texture. At its base, creamy Sandalwood is infused with Oak moss and laced with feminine Ylang-Ylang blossoms. Musk rounds and softens the scent while a touch of Pheromone creates a sensual energy and undeniable allure that makes this fragrance the perfect signature for Paris Hilton."
Just by reading that description, I would not want to buy this perfume, I mean seriously, I don't imagine that Paris Hilton, or anybody else for that matter could bottle 'wet Ozone??' the perfume bottle itself is tall, slim and pink. but apart from the obvious tacky ness that radiates from this perfume's looks and descriptions this is very much deceiving. In my own description of the perfume, I would say that is was sweet, with hints of flowers and I also think that it smells like sweet summer fruits. it's a simple yet delicate perfume which makes you feel slightly summery when you wear it. It is not the nicest perfume I have smelt but for the price it is definitely a bargain. The perfume has great lasting power, If I apply it in the morning, I can still smell it on my clothes in the evening. I would definitely recommend trying this perfume, and you don't have to be a Paris Hilton fan to like it. It's sweet and delicate, perfect for a summers day.
I brought a cheap version of this for my friend's birthday, I did the unthinkable thing and went on someone else's recommendation of saying that it was nice, I then went into a local store (Boots) and had a sniff, and I absolutely fell in love with it! It's absolutely gorgeous, it's a light but powerful scent, a little goes a long way with this perfume, which is a relief as it's not the cheapest but therefore is totally worth every penny. I switched to this from Lacoste, Touch of Pink, which says a lot as I prefer this rather than a more reputable brand! I originally brought this around two years ago, and I've used it ever since. Its posh enough to wear to posh occasions, but is also casual enough to wear throughout the day. It's a clean fresh flowery smell, to be honest its quite girly, and would probably appeal to the younger users, as my mom dislikes it and wouldn't wear it, but she says it suits me. The bottle design is also very nice, as it comes with a lid its easily transported in handbags (especially the smaller size bottle) and on holiday with you without fear of leaking! Its also rather pretty!
I tried this Perfume a good few years ago and still buy it thesedays. It is quite a cheap Perfume considering the brand name, and although there is loads of perfumes out from Paris, this 1 is my favourite.
I've only seen this in 50ml bottles and I got this online the last time for £16. I think this can cost more than that through Boots and other shops, and I know you can get the perfume set with a Body Lotion or Shower Gel but it's just the Perfume that i'm into.
The box and bottle look like the Dooyoo picture. Alright looking but nothing that special. There is a picture of paris's face on 1 side of the bottle which I couldn't care less about. I don't pay too much attention to the box as it goes straight in the bin anyway. The bottle is nice enough, but I don't think it is that expensive looking and I think this will probably appeal more to the younger perhaps teenage users because of the brand and the look of this.
So how does this smell? I was surprised that this was more Musky and heavy than I expected. I expected this to be all Fruity, but it is a mixture of what smells like Pear, Sparkling white Florals, Amber, perhaps Jasmine and what smells like other Citrus scents.
It is light and fresh and although it doesn't last all day, it does last a good few hours. I reapply after a while and when I sniffed my wrist I could still smell this faintly after about 6 hours.
This is more a light scent with the heavier Musky scents mixed through. So this way it should appeal to lots of different Perfume users with the nice scent.
I don't like Paris but I do like her Perfumes and for that reason I will keep buying this. As the name suggests yes I would say this is a Sheer scent, but heavier than what I though.
I havent done a perfume review on here for absolutely ages now so I thought over the next few days Id attempt a few to try and eventualy write reviews on all the perfumes I own - brace yourself there is quite a few! Anyway Im not a massive fan of these "celeb" fragrances as a rule Id rather but one's made my designers or people who ONLY make perfume but for the Paris Hilton scents I tend to make an exception. Not because Im a fan of her as a person but all of her scents Ive tried in the past have been really nice and over time become some of my favourite perfumes so I guess it was inevitable that eventually I would try this one "Paris Hilton - Sheer" which my mom bought me a few weeks ago as a little treat. I expected it to smell amazing like her other scents do but I have to say out of all the range [that Ive tried anyway] this one is actually the worst. Its not the worst perfume EVER but it insnt the best by far.
Price: Around £17 - 50ml bottle.
Stockists: Ebay & SimplyBe. Ive never actually seen this sold in a shop even one's like The Perfume Shop so it might not be as widely available as the rest of her scents.
Packaging & Bottle:
Often I buy perfume totally based on the bottle but in this case I find the bottle to be slightly boring. It is exactly the same as her first fragrance [which was self titled] so it just seems like she didnt really put any effort at all into creating a new, improved design here - I bet a lot of people will mistake the two! The bottle is quite large and light pink in colour with black stripes all the way down. Dont get me wrong it isnt the worst bottle ever but clearly no effort was made with this one. The only way to distinguish this from the self titled perfume is that the name Sheer is written in very tiny writng on the bottle top - other than that the 2 are pretty much the same. This one also comes in a pink & black box with the same design as the bottle & another box with a picture of Paris on the front - overall it looks alright but nothing special.
After a quick peek around the internet I found the main notes in this perfume are as follows: Apple, Freesia, Mimosa, Musk, Ylang Ylang, Wet Ozone, Jasmine & Sandalwood. That list is actually pretty similar to the scent list for her self titled perfume but actually the two smell quite different.
The most noticable scent straight away is definately the apples because this comes off as incredibly fruity and sweet which made me think it would be like the original however this has quite an alcoholic scent to it at first which tends to make it quite overpowering and far too strong to spray on yourself seconds before you leave the house. But sadly at first the smell it fades down to is even worse. Im assuming the very spicy scent must come from the sandalwood but Im all for spicy, warming perfumes I just wasnt expecting to smell like a balti restaurant. The spicy edge when it dies down is far to strong for me and it doesnt seem to compliment any of the other scents just overpower them and I think this perfume would have got a much higher score had that spicy element been left out - it seems so out of place compared to the rest of the sweet, fruity scents.
Happily when it dies down again you are left with a gorgeous scent in this case the musk seems to be the strongest note I can pick out but that works really well with the fruity notes and makes the perfume slightly heavier making it great for wearing at night as well as day. Ive never had any bad comments on this perfume but Im not THAT keen on the scent until it dies right down and that does take a while so I dont wear it all that often.
However if you like spicy scents this may be the perfect perfume for you because it offers something a little bit different from the normal Paris scent - I prefer her ordinary perfumes though I have to say stick with what you know is the perfect way to describe this perfume. If you like this scent I would say it is suitable for both night & daywear and Id guess best for teenagers/young women but if you like the scent who cares what age you are? Attempt to try this before you buy it though as I dont think everyone will like this one.
3/5. Thanks For Reading.

I heard that some people liked this perfume cause of the musky floral smells, but when I tried it I had different thoughts and it was nothing what I've heard from other people, and I will say that I don't have that much to say about this product either as I didn't really like it.
I saw this perfume in Wilkinson when it was reduced from 10 pounds down to five pounds (as the box had been bashed around a little but the perfume and the bottle were still in good condition) I asked for a tester and I first thought that the perfume smell was a bit strong and would calm down a bit in the next few minutes, actually it was stronger but I didn't find the smell very pleasant as I thought it smelt a bit 'off.' It was either me or I'm not a huge fan of spicy smells but the spicy smell was too strong for me. And even worse, the smell was so addicting, may be Ok for those who like this perfume.
However the bottle off the perfume is very nice, but I'm not keen on the bottle as it looks a bit plain and has 'Paris Hilton' taking most of the space on the box, and also has a picture of herself on the back. It can be quite cheap this product and you can find in most shops like Boots, Superdrug, Savers and Wilkinson - but Savers and Wilkinson tend to be a lot cheaper than Boots and Superdrug. As in Savers/Wilkinson you can get is as cheap as eight pounds for 30 ml.
Overall, I don't like this perfume, it's not the worst i've ever tried but It's a perfume I'll never use/try again. Myself, not being a Paris Hilton fan it's not me worth buying it. As well as I have said in one of my previous reviews I'm not a huge fan of spicy smelling perfumes but I have to say that this perfume is far too spicy for me or as I call it 'smells off.'
First of all, don't let the name put you off. This is actually quite a nice fragrance.
It changes quite a bit though. As soon as you spray it on, it smells quite sweet and fruity. But it doesn't take long until it turns into a slightly more musky scent. Personally, I did not like it at first but after a while, it's actually really nice. It's very sexy and feminine.
This fragrance has great lasting power. I sprayed some onto a scarf and it lasted for weeks.
The bottle itself is very feminine and pretty. And of course, pink. It looks elegant on a dressing table. And the 'Paris Hilton' brand is subtley etched on the silver band of the bottle so don't worry about everyone's eye's being drawn towards it when they spot it.
This fragrance is perfect for anyone who wants a sexy scent that they can wear everyday.

The fragrance was created using the same key scent notes as the original, but the concentration of the ingredients has been altered. If you're a casual wearer of the original I doubt you'll notice the difference, but as I've wearing the original since it was launched I could immediately spot the difference between the two.
The apple is noticable right off the bat here; it's much more apparent then in the original. The fragrance also seems charged - like the smell in the air just before a thunderstorm. I can't describe the scent, but I'm guessing it's the ozone accord.
I'm not sure how you make muguet sparkle, but I am reminded of sparkling spring water in the way that the floral notes are much milder, but still lively and energetic. The jasmine in particular is more toned down, so this fragrance isn't as sweet as the original.
The base is quite close to the skin, so I can only detect a slight hint of sandalwood and musk. The musk is another key scent note that has been stripped right down, so it is only a light hint.
I know that the original's formula contains synthetic pheromones, so I'm wondering if they've been left out of the SHEER edition, since this formula is a lot lighter. I've searched many sites and emailed Parlux fragrances [who replied, but it was a basic copy and paste job, with no useful information], but can't find detailed and reliable information on the formula, but I'm going to suggest that the pheromones are indeed missing.

The black striped pink bottle and packaging is the same as the original. The sliver ring around the bottle's neck which displays the name is the only way to tell the difference between the two editions.
The bottle is only available in a 50ml size.

PARIS HILTON SHEER is very versatile and is refreshing in warmer weather, yet also warm and comforting in cooler weather, so it's great to wear all year round and for any occasion.
The musk in the original can cause headaches in hotter weather, but I've never experienced any problems with this one.
Even though this is a deliberately lighter edition, you'll set get 5/6 wear out of it, it just goes close to the skin after around 3 hours.

I do love the original and will go back to it when this becomes unavailable [it's a limited edition], but whilst I can pick between the 2 I'd go for this. The lighter musk and florals allow the other scent notes to fully develop, making it richer and more complex.
Some people are automatically put of by the Paris Hilton name on the bottle - but, hey; if it smells nice, then who cares?

I've never seen PARIS HILTON SHEER in any stores; I had to go to Ebay for my bottle and many online perfume sites also stock it. The price varies between £10 and £15.
