Packaging: This perfume comes in a pink snake skin patterned box covered in a sheer plastic top to prevent use before purchase. So rest assured that it will not be used before you purchase! Container: The container is made of glass and topped with a plastic square to prevent spillage. The sheek and classy design of the bottle is very pleasant, but not too out there. The dispenser of the product is just a small hole on the top of the bottle so extra mist from spray is not wasted. I love the dispenser on this because just a simple tip of the bottle gives the user control of how much perfume is dispensed. Product itself: This perfume has an almost bitter floral scent, but it is very pleasant. if you are into super sweet scented perfume this is more likely not for you. It is definitely a perfume for a night out on the town as opposed to a carefree day kind of scent. It is very pleasant and attractive smelling. The scent holds literally all night long and then some! So if not fading is a worry of yours I recommend this ever-lasting high quality perfume! Conclusion: Overall, I love this perfume! My boyfriend loves it as well and people are always complimenting and asking what perfume I am wearing. It just gives off a classy, chic vibe, and grabs attention. A very unique and memorable perfume for sure!
I love perfume - to me, just a few little squirts of that bottle makes me feel so much better about my myself and I feel ready for the day. I am addicted to shoes and as a result, love Jimmy Choo. So when I was given a little tester sample as I passed through John Lewis last year, I was very excited to have a smell. As soon as I did, it went straight onto my birthday list as it smelt so gorgeous and very different to all the other perfumes that I owned at home already. I asked for the eau de parfum in 60ml and having a sneaky peak, I know that it cost around £50 at the time. I have since purchased the eau de toilette 100ml bottle too as it was on offer at such a bargain price. Having said that, I do intend to stick to the perfume in future as the eau de toilette doesn't seem to linger for any time at all. The perfume comes in a sealed pink box with a snakeskin pattern on, it reminds me of a pattern that you'd see on a fancy handbag (perhaps a Jimmy Choo one?!). Inside the box, is a bottle that to me looks very elegant - it's an oval shape and feels heavy and weighty, something I associate with high quality. There are small indents in the glass, which weirdly reminds me of the indents you see on an old style beer glass (I doubt that they'd be impressed with my comparison but that really is what it reminds me of!) The bottle has a black lid that clicks on/off to access the spray top. The perfume actually looks as though there is a hint of pink in it although it might be that this hint of pink is in the glass itself as I've never noticed a colour to the perfume when sprayed on. The pump releases quite a lot of perfume and I find that as the perfume is quite strong, I only need at the most 3 squirts on my wrists and neck for a good few hours wear. This has meant that my 60ml bottle is still going - I've owned it for around 8 months but to be fair I don't wear it every single day, it wouldn't last this long if it was used very regularly. As I mentioned, the eau de toilette bottle I have does not last anywhere near as long once sprayed, after about an hour it's worn off to the point that I don't notice it's there, so I do think it's worth paying a little more for the perfume version of this scent. I think that the scent is fairly different to other premium perfumes available. It doesn't smell exceptionally girly to me, although one of the key scents is fruity. I don't think of this being a negative, I just mean it has no strong floral tone to it as I have with most of my other perfumes and sometimes it reminds me more of the unisex scents that I've tried in the past (although I really wouldn't recommend it for use by men!). I'm not great at describing perfumes but their own description is 'fruity with warm and rich woody depths'. I assume it's the woody depths that reminds me of more of the unisex scents I've tried, but the fruity scent is also clearly noticeable and to be fair, that probably stands out a little more. Their description of the perfume is that it's for women with a sense of fashion and is inspired by strong, empowered women. I definitely wouldn't say that I fit into this category, I do try and keep in with certain styles but I would by no means describe myself as a trendsetter. I am also definitely not empowering and am quite reserved really. But, I feel that this perfume really suits me and my personality too so I wouldn't take too much notice of their description as if I'd have read that before buying, it might have put me off a bit. In my view, if it smells nice on and I like it, I don't care what's written on the box! I often do use it for special occasions but I do think it's just as suitable for a day shopping too (in fact I have worn it out today shopping) so it is quite versatile. I do try to keep mine more for going out though, just with it costing so much per bottle. I do think it has slightly come down in price though since Jimmy Choo introduced other perfumes to their range. I have given this perfume 5 stars overall - I did debate whether to take a star off because of it's high price tag, although I thought this would have been a little unfair as they are a premium brand and other premium brands do charge similar prices. I know that perfume is a very personal choice but definitely would recommend all women to try this for themselves.
I bought Jimmy Choo's eponymous eau de parfum on a recent perfume shopping spree, where I ordered 6 perfumes online. I hardly ever bought perfume for myself up until recently, but I was feeling fed up and decided to treat myself to a few and I have been addicted to buying fragrances ever since. ~ Price ~ Despite the perfume's recommended retail price of £68.00 for 100ml of the eau de parfum, I managed to buy it online at www.cheapsmells .com for just £42.50. It currently sells on cheapsmells.com for £47.95 (the prices on the website seem to fluctuate) and the fragrance is also available as an eau de toilette, which sells for £38.95 for 100ml of cheapsmells.com. You can also buy this eau de parfum in a 60ml bottle for £36.95 (recommended retail price £49.00). It is also available in Boots and The Perfume Shop as well as most department stores. ~ Bottle ~ The bottle rather reminds me of Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb. It is a round sort of shape with angled sides. The glass has a slightly dark tinge to it. The eau de toilette version of this fragrance does not have the dark tinged bottle. I think I prefer the eau de toilette bottle as I don't think the dark tinge is very nice. A silver rim goes around the top of the bottle with 'JIMMY CHOO' in black lettering on it. On top sits a black cube shaped lid with silver trim. I think the bottle looks ok, but it is nothing too special and I think the lid looks a little bit out of place. I have seen testers of this fragance in Boots with a different lid, which was clear and a different shape which I preferred. Looking online I can't see a picture of this fragrance with a different lid so perhaps the lid I saw the tester wearing was one from another perfume. ~ Scent ~ The perfume is very strong and has good sillage and staying power. It is still detectable after 12 hours, which is something I have been very impressed with. It is quite complex for a sweet, fruity-floral scent. The top notes are ginger, pear and green notes. The heart notes are exotic tiger orchid and candied orange. The base notes are patchouli and sweet toffee caramel. The fragrance has a sharpness to it, which is neutralised by its sweetness. I can also detect a light woodiness to this fragrance. I think it smells expensive. It is quite a heavy fragrance and I think it would be suitable to wear on nights out as well as during the day. I think this perfume would be suitable for more mature women as it is strong, it has a slightly sharp element to it and I think it smell expensive. I had wanted this perfume for a while before ordering it and although I prefer the slightly different bottle that the eau de toilette comes in, I am glad I got the eau de parfum as I have read that the eau de toilette has poor staying power and it only cost a few pounds more for the eau de parfum. I do prefer Jimmy Choo's follow up fragrance, Flash, but I really like this one too.
I was given this perfume a while ago by my sister. Obviously being aware of the Jimmy Choo brand (we've all watched sex and the city, right?) I was quite excited to try this perfume out and see what it was like. The Jimmy Choo brand screams sophistication and high class so I had big expectations when it came to this fragrance. Though the box (a nasty pink snake skin) did not initially shout luxury to me I think the bottle is extremely beautiful. It looks similar to the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb scent as it is shaped a little like a grenade. By that I mean the glass on the outside has rivets on it, it is circular in shape with an elongated top. The bottle is made from clear glass and the perfume inside is a lovely light, soft pink colour which is very pretty. The bottle also has a squared black plastic lid edged in silver. The overall look is stylish, modern and yet somehow classic at the same time. The main body of this scent is fruity. I would describe it as being very strong, confident and sexy and this is the kind of woman I imagine wearing it. Though very fruity this is also a deep perfume with many layers which open out as it mellows. It is both warm and rich and has a deep layer of woody, earthy tones which give it a beautiful sensual edge. The fragrance is described as being for beautiful, empowered and alluring women and this is exactly the lady I imagine wearing this scent. It has a real attitude to it which I think is very sexy but it also has a sweetness to it which gives it an elegance. I would say this is a pretty versatile scent and as such I would way it from day into night. It is constantly changing and because of that it really suits all seasons and this is what I like most about it. In terms of longevity I find this perfume lasts me around 5-6 hours which is what you would expect from a good eau de parfum. If you are thinking of purchasing this it will set you back somewhere between £40-£70 depending on what size you go for. Personally I probably wouldn't rush out to pay this much for it but maybe shop around online and see if I can get myself a good deal, or if all else fails put it on the birthday list. Overall, a lovely scent with constantly evolves.
After reading a review on this the other day, i decided to treat myself to this, im shoe mad and thought this is as close to jimmy choo shoes as im gettin. It is on offer at the moment and was £58 for the 100ml. Its in a very posh looking glass circular bottle, with a black lid and jimmy choo written on the neck. It is absolutley perfect size for fitting in my bag :) I am very pleased with it so far, at first i thought it was maybe a bit dear, however everyone is right and you really do only need a few sprays as it can come accross as a bit strong (once its died down a bit it smells alot better) I started my work at 9am so sprayed it before i left and had someone come up to me before my lunch (around 1pm) asking what i was wearing as it smelt gorgeous, so it definatley lasts. The fragrance itself very fruity, and reminds me of being a summery smell. Definatley recommended. Thank you for reading & i hope this helps
Been buying my girlfriend perfume for quite a while now and this one is by far my favourite of them all. Not the cheapest one I've had to shell out on, but none the less very nice. Purchased it at outlet store for around £45 for 60ml bottle, hadn't done any price comparison but just bought it there and then. All I can say is that guys, if you want to get in the good books, then this is the perfume for you. I'm no expert on scents but it has a really fruity, fresh smell I think, so if they are the characteristics of a perfume your girl likes, then go for it. Comes in attractive bottle which easily fits in most reasonably sized handbags. Aditionally, the smell lasts. My girlfriend can put it on in the morning and you can still smell it late afternoon/night. Overall all I would say, slightly expensive but I suppose for a brand like jimmy choo, it's not much compared to the price tag on their other goods. Go for it, she'll love it !
For years now, I have been over the moon when Jimmy Choo does anything, so when I stumbled across this perfume from Choo, I simply had to have it! I have to say that the bottle and the overall design didn`t appeal to me all that strongly, as I found it to be a bit too feminine and "girlish". However, as with all perfumes, it`s the scent that counts, and the scent ofJimmy Choo`s Eau de Parfum, well, it`s simply totally lovely! The first thing that caught my nose when I started sniffing away at this scent, was that it feels like a very classic and elegant smell, it`s not too fruity and sweet, but a rather grown up smell, at least in my nostrils... There are of course some fruity scents in this blend, and with the perfume containing ingredients such as tiger orchid and sweet caramel, the combination is surely original and stands out in a crowd of other perfumes. Sometimes, I find that a perfume can be sickly in its attempt to try too much all at once, and lukcily, that is not the case with Choo`s perfume. The combination of fragrances are sensual, classic and elegant, and this is a lovely scent for when you`re going to a party or to a club, but also for when you just want to smell lovely during a day at work or school. I paid give or take 40.99 for a 60 ml bottle, and that is absolutely reasonable as far as I can tell. This is a feminine, classic and not too fruity perfume, suitable for both young and older women.
I am lucky enough to own an amazing pair of black Jimmy Choo's and an awesome yellow snake print Jimmy Choo clutch bag so when they came out with a perfume earlier this year I just had to get it. Yes, I probably have been suckered in by the marketing but for me this was a must buy as I guess I wanted to buy into the luxury of the brand and own a little bit more of this luxury goods company. The fragrance was released in February 2011 so is still a very new perfume on the market. The perfume is advertised by Tamara Mellon, the Chief Creative Office and co-founder of Jimmy Choo and she also designed the gorgeous looking bottle as well. I think the bottle fits in perfectly with the luxury image of this brand. It is a bulb shaped round bottle which is slightly pink and has little bubble like shapes all over it. Apparently, according to an article I read it was inspired by conventional Venetian glass-making. It looks expensive and it is expensive. At the top of the bottle there is chrome all around with the words Jimmy Choo blazoned on it. The stopper is a square shape which is black and chrome as well. It actually looks like a piece of glass that you wold actually buy and display in your home so to have it as a perfume bottle is exquisite. The smell is beautiful too and a very classic fragrance in my opinion. According to an article I read it was made by the famous perfume maker Olivier Polge. So, Jimmy actually doesn't make the perfume, he just lends his name to the fragrance but then I think this goes for all celebrity perfume makers. The smell is described as a fantastic blend of modern fruity scents, sweet floral scent of a tiger orchid, Indonesian Patchouli and smell of sweet caramel candy. The smell is definitely sweet to my nose but not too sickly sweet or cheap smelling. The sweetness is cleverly mixed to make it very addictive and grown up as to me this is not a young scent. It's perfect for day and night wear and in my opinion a worthwhile buy. The perfume is now available at Boots and costs £39 for a 40ml bottle and £49 for a 60ml bottle.
My boyfriend bought me the Jimmy Choo perfume for my birthday, it's such a gorgeous scent you only need about one or two sprays as its very strong and can be quite overwhelming. I had smelled it before when walking through department stores and immediately knew I needed to have it! Once you spray the perfume, it lasts the whole day, which is great for us women as we don't want to have to carry your perfume around in our bags wherever we go. The round bottle is very classy and girly, like a dusky pink colour. This represents the fragrance as sweet, fruity and girly. The fragrance is inspired by modern women strong, empowered, beautiful and seductive. I will only wear this perfume for special occasions and weekends as I would not waste this on an average working day it would be such a waste as the perfume is not exactly cheap and it is far to lovely to wear for work. You can buy this perfume from most fragrance stores and department stores such as John Lewis and Debenhams. It retails in three sizes the prices are around £39 for 40ml, £49 for 60ml and £68 for 100ml. I would definately recommend this perfume to anyone who liked sweet and floral scents like Viktor Rolf Flowerbomb, Jimmy Choo is definately a perfume to go for.
My friend is obessed with this perfume, and she got me a 40ml bottle for my birthday (she's too nice lol!) as she wanted me to try it. Packaging and Appearance Jimmy Choo eau de parfum comes in a pink box with snakeskin printed on and the Jimmy Choo logo on the front of the box. I love the snakeskin cover, it reminds me of a Jimmy Choo bag! On the front of the box is of course the Jimmy Choo logo along with the volume of perfume (40ml, 60ml or 100ml) and on the base of the box is an ingredients list. The bottle is round with dimples and around the neck of the bottle is the Jimmy Choo logo again, and the bottle has a cubed black lid. The perfume is pinky-peach in colour. Contents The notes in this perfume are: TOP NOTES - Pear Nectar, Sweet Italian Orange HEART NOTES - Tiger Orchard BASE NOTES - Toffee, Indonesian Patchouli When I first sprayed this perfume it was very strong and sweet, and at first I thought it was sickly, but as the day went on the smell leveled out and became less sweet. When the perfume is fresh on it is also very fruity and zingy, which detracts from the sweetness a bit. This is quite heavy and strong, so this is the perfect night-time perfume - it's too heavy for daytime, but you could wear it for the daytime if you wanted to, it's just that I think it is more of an evening scent. Because the perfume was so strong, I only needed one spray for it to be noticable, and best of all, it lasts all day/night, so I didn't need to re-apply, so my 40ml bottle will last for ages! Value A 40ml bottle of Jimmy Choo is £39, a 60ml bottle is £49, and an 100ml bottle is £68 from most shops. These are all good prices for a perfume, but to save yourself money you should only get the 40ml bottle, after all it will last for ages.
Perfume is an incredibly personal thing but I have found from my own experience that I almost always know that I like a perfume the moment I smell it. This is exactly how I feel about the Jimmy Choo perfume. I have only ever felt this way about 2 other perfumes - Calvin Klein's Euphoria and Miss Dior Cherie. This perfume has notes of tiger orchard, pear nectar, sweet Italian orange, toffee and Indonesian patchouli - in my opinion it smells as delicious as it sounds! When I first spray this on to my skin I get a lovely fresh slightly sweet whiff, but after some time the fragrance settled on my skin and had a warmer, deeper scent. Personally I have found that it lasts a very long time on my skin, although of course perfume and its staying power varies immensely with different people's skin. The bottle itself I was not overly impressed with, it reminded me a little of flower bomb but not quite as well thought out. I don't think that it is a perfume that will stand out on shelves. Considering that they make amazing shoes I think that they could have been a lot more creative in the design of the bottle, or even just the lid as some bottles look amazing purely for that - e.g. Lola (Marc Jacobs) and Feerie (Van Cleef and Arpels). Price wise I think that it is reasonably priced. On average a 50ml EDP will cost about £49 which compares well to other brands such as chanel, where 100ml would set you back £86. Overall I am very impressed with this fragrance and think it will be one of my favourites for some time yet.
If I am being totally honest - I was not expecting very much from this fragrance, I thought it was going to be cheap and nasty smelling, and when I first sampled it I thought 'oh no! too strong, don't like it!' but them I smelled it after letting it settle on my wrist and I will admit that I was totally wrong. I tend to like sweet and citrus based perfumes this perfume combines orange notes and toffee notes which is very sweet so if you prefer floral or spiced perfumes then this is definitely not the one for you. The perfume is very strong so you do not need to use a lot of it when first putting it on and you do not really need to top it up throughout the day or night either as it lasts extremely well. On the down-side because it is a very strong perfume, if you spray too much, then it can give you and those around you a bit of a headache as it can be very overpowering. Really, it is a beautiful perfume but just spray a little in the morning and it lasts you all day long! When you first sample it, if you are not too keen then give it 10 or 15 minutes and smell it again, you might find that you were like me and jumped the gun!
Despite the guady snake skin effect box, what is in the box is a bouquet of heaven. Having been given this for xmas, I was skeptical that a shoe company could make a perfume so wonderful. The colour pink is the only way to describe the fragrance, it smells heavily of pink roses and woodyness as its base note, so hence will have a lot of staying power on your skin. Its finer light notes are fresh and fruity and remind me of forest berries. The iconography of this brand is to seem at the height of fashion and they have acheived this in the terms of its high fashion design on the box but have kept the fragrance to be subtle and alluring. So no matter how much you spray on, it won't attack the nostrils of many and cause annoyance or allergies, its pleasing to the nose and should be worn as a day fragrance. This is the fragrance to wear in summer and if you want to feel and smell like a mystical woodland nymph.
I do not normally stray away from my favourite fragrances which include Armarni Code and Euphoria by Calvin Klein but I was walking past the perfume shop in Bluewater and was asked if I would like a sample. I sprayed a small amount on my wrist and the scent was lovely, really sweet but not sickly sweet!! What is great that not only did the perfume smell nice, the scent lasted all day. I even had a couple of compliments from other people throughout the day who could smell the perfume! Ladies, you need to go and try this perfume, it is soooooooo nice :) I am not sure how much I paid for the perfume but I assume it is in line will all other brands such as Vera Wang, Armani etc The perfume shop is a great place to shop and I have found that the perfumes sold are very reasonable in cost (roughly the same as the Duty Free @ the airport nowadays).
Jimmy Choo is more commonly known for expensive and luxurious footwear and not being a millionaire i've never owned a pair :( but when i spotted this perfume by such a fab designer I was desperate to finally be the owner of a Jimmy Choo product, even if it wasn't for my feet ! I also decided that having designed so many stylish and expensive shoes this perfume must ooze sophistication and I expected something really special. I first tried this fragance as a tester at my local Boots store. At first I couldn't decide what it reminded me of. It had an overwhelming fruity scent but with a heavier warmer aroma to it. At £42 a bottle (and a family to feed) I didn't buy it straight away and went in a few days later for a second test with the aroma. I them decided I definately liked it and began the hint dropping to my husband. On my birthday three weeks later I was delighted when sure enough I became the proud owner of a bottle of Jimmy Choo perfume! After opening the box I was very pleased to find that the bottle is very sylish and glam, designed to look luxurious and feminine. The pink glass is cut so it sparkles and the contrasting blach cap finishes the look with elegance. After using this perfume at home I began to notice the different depths to the aroma. It has a predominently fruity feel to it with strong warmer undertones of vanilla and toffee. This appeals to me as it is not too 'floral' but I think that some people who prefer a lighter fragrance may find this a bit overpowerful. This fragrance is definately strong and only a few squirts are needed to be noticable. I would recommend this perfume as an evening or special occasion perfume. It's not something I would wear generally every day. Another big positive for me is that the perfume seems to linger for hours on the skin without fading. I find that with many perfumes the aroma wears off far too quickly. This scent smells lovely all evening without having to reapply some more. This of course means I use a lot less of this than my usual perfume which makes the 40ml bottle last a lot longer. I have had many compliments about the smell of this perfume since I started wearing it and I am very proud when I tell people it was made by Jimmy Choo. I would recommend this perfume to anyone looking for something elegant but slightly different for a special occasion and for £40 a bottle it is well worth the price.
