Calvin Klein Forbidden Eurphoria EDP was bought for me one Christmas in a box set. The 30ml perfume also came with a moisturizing cream with the same fragrance.
For the purposes of this review, I'm reviewing the 30ml perfume.
It's certainly a unique bottle, it's a long slim shape, a little like a child's rocker, it's a transparent dark pink/purple colour. The lid is silver on two sides, then transparent pink on the other two. The spray part is a metallic pink. It sits in the hand reasonably well to dispense the spray. I find the lid doesn't fit back on very tightly, it kind of just sits on top. If you were to put this in a bag, I've no doubt it would just fall off - which is a real shame. It seems a lot of thought went into the bottle design, this lets it down in my opinion.
It dispenses rather nicely from the sprayer, you get a fine mist that you can waft into or spray directly on the skin. It's quite a musky, heady perfume, one spray I find is enough. The smell isn't really a day to day perfume, probably better for nights out and special occasions.
The musky tones are evident straight away, I can detect a little floral smell about it, but the musk dominants.
Notes as from Amazon.co.uk:
Top Notes: Mandarin, Passion Fruit, Iced Raspberry
Heart Notes: Pink Peony, Tiger Orchid, Jasmine
Base Notes: Cashmere Woods, Patchouli Absolute, Skin Musk
There is a slight detection of these top notes when first used, but as stated previously, I did find the musky smells more dominant.
It lasts really well, probably a good 6-7 hours for me before noticeably fading, so I feel the perfume represents excellent value.
The perfume seems to be marketed towards younger women, although it seems a smell that any age could wear.
I would recommend as an evening or special use perfume, it's a shame the lid doesn't stay on better. For this reason I've dropped a Dooyoo star off.

If I were to ever choose only one specific brand for a perfume, without a doubt I would choose Calvin Klein. They have a range of beautiful fragrances, and If I could afford to, I would only choose to buy Calvin Klein's perfumes. It's a shame they are pretty expensive but to be honest, they are just that good and I do pay a lot of money because I think they are worth it.
Forbidden Euphoria is one of my all time favorites. It is a fragrance that I truly treasure and only use on very special occasions. I think It is not an everyday scent particularly for shopping around as It is quite strong and distinct. I personally always want something softer and more natural for everyday.
Forbidden Euphoria is meant to represent the younger and independent woman so it states, but to be honest, when my mum wears it, it smells fantastic and turns heads. It doesn't come across as too much or too strong unless you really generously spray it over yourself.
The fragrance has very fruity top notes which you can hardly tell, rather, to me it smells like a strong mixture of musky and floral. It claims to have heart notes of pink Peony and jasmine flowers and it smells beautiful. There isn't any other fragrance I could compare it too. It is very unique and very strong therefore a little certainly goes a long way. Like all perfumes, Spraying too much creates a chemically scent which isn't very appealing. The first time I tried this perfume I got carried away and sprayed a little too much. It was simply off putting and gave me a severe headache. I just wonder what other people must have thought of me!
Anyway, the perfume is available in different sizes, of course the bigger the dearer. I tend to stick to the 50 ml bottle, it costs between 40 to 50 pounds, depending where you purchase it from and it lasts me at least 6 months. Also I have noticed that the smell doesn't fade away if left out in the sun. Not that I would purposely put it in direct sunlight but I have accidently left it out on my window pane and it smelt warm but still amazing.
I love it and I hope they don't discontinue this perfume. It is one of my favorites.
I absolutely love the fragrance Calvin Klein Euphoria and for Christmas this year I received a bottle of Forbidden Euphoria. It was actually a bit of a mistake as I had asked my husband for a bottle of Euphoria and he duly got me some but the Forbidden variety not knowing there was a difference but anyway I'm glad he did. The bottle is just the same as the original version of Euphoria and in my opinion its really sleek and sexy looking. The cap is a long silver rectangle with some pink on it which sits on top of the spray function. Then the bottle itself is then in a sort of boat shape underneath this and when you rest it on a surface it will sort of rock back and forth. The bottle also has a really nice pink hue to it and I really like the look of it.
Calvin Klein describe this fragrance as, "The younger interpretation of the iconic euphoria fragrance evokes a modern, fresh sexiness with a mysterious twist." I definitely find it a very fresh fragrance and quite uplifting and very fragrant. It is strong without being heavy and does last quite a long time. It's definitely a very fruity fragrance but not sweet and sickly like some cheaper perfumes on the market today.
The fragrance is described as having top notes of forbidden fruit composed of mandarin, passion fruit and touches of iced raspberry, mid notes of pink peony, tiger orchid, jasmine and underneath its exotic floralcy lies a layer of addictive patchouli with a sophisticated blend of musks and cashmere woods for a lasting impression."
I know I have only had it for a week or so now but I have been wearing this fragrance mostly during the day as I prefer a heavier fragrance at night. I have had a few compliments on the fragrance already which is nice. It's similar to the original but slightly fruiter and definitely a fragrance I would wear for quite a while to come.
A 30ML bottle of the fragrance costs £33 which in my opinion is pretty much middle of the road, fragrance wise and is one I would recommend.
