This Poster has'nt got a clue about Toning Tables and with a name like Tracy I am not supprised? I know for a fact that these Tables work and work very well indeed. If they are used for what they are intended, which is for "Inch Loss" and "Toning" then they are extremley effective and excellent results I can give many example Testimonials to support this. If however, as I suspect Tracey was attempting to use these for "weight Loss" (Something Very Different) and Gorging herself on cream Buns in between each session then you would be right in thinking that they would not be very effective? Do you research Tracy before you make comments on which you clearly know very little about?

If it's toned muscles you're after use the time doing toning exercises

Apologies to those people who think they are getting toned by using toning tables but it's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard in my life!! I used to work in a health spa that had a room full of these tables and I can honestly say I never saw a trim client who used these who did not do lots of proper toning exercises as well. The women (I'm saying women because at the spa I worked at they were the only ones to use these tables) who only used these and claimed to be dieting never looked more toned.

I once broached this with the owner and she insisted I start using them every day to experience first hand how "toning" they were. So a couple of months and many wasted hours later I confirmed to her again they were a load of hooey!

How, I ask you, is laying down (some people even fell asleep on ours) and not using the muscles at all going to tone you up??? In fact I would say for some people they could be downright dangerous, if they take a joint beyond it's range without the support of the muscles (I don't care what people say, the muscles just aren't active on these tables) it's just stretching the ligaments and could easily lead to hypermobility.

A complete waste of time, you use more muscles lifting a cream cake to your mouth!!

Found in your local gym or by purchasing one, toning tables are handy for the more lazy gym user and primarily used by women to firm those areas they generally like the least about themselves. Adjustable and comfortable, toning tables are a useful way of increasing strength and flexibility in certain parts of the body. As a slightly macho gym user with a propensity to go at the main gym muscle mass exercises of squats, bench press and dead lifts, I had previously shunned these table to the point of forgetting they were even in the gym. However my dislike for cardio vascular exercises meant that I regretfully at the time, tried my hand at them and indeed my legs, bottom and stomach (I refuse to use the word ?tum?) on the tables. Thankfully I was impressed with the results! One thing I will say though, like in most of my sports reviews is to keep it up. Results don?t happen in a week. Or even in a month. So, what you need to do it keep up the repetition of gym visits over a prolonged period of time or nothing will be happening too noticeably. Diet is also important, keep a regular amount of carbs and protein and try to reduce your fat intake. Don?t listen to the Atkins wannabes because this is not only dangerous but you will put the weight straight back on when you go back to eating carbs. A happy medium is required to get the best results. Toning tables offer a range of functions and are devoted to a major muscle group, and by passive, repetitive isokentic movements, gently exercises a specific part of the body. The overall effect is one of increased muscle tone, flexibility and improved circulation around the body. Each table has a different exercise technique, or all are combined on a ?multi? table that can be adjusted to suit. Table One: Thighs Isolates the thigh muscles and reduces the ripples of stret
ched skin and cellulite. Table Two: Hip toner Trims the muscle and skin around the hips and buttocks. The gentle rhythmic movement can assist with strengthening the lower back. Table Three: Leg Toner Tones the legs from the sides and the calves to form more shapely legs. In other words, works a different side of your legs than the first table. Table Four: Tummy Toner Trims the abdominals to remove unsightly pot or beer bellies, while also concentrating on the midriff to tighten the muscles there. I love this table. A very easy way to tone the stomach without having to do the dreaded 5 million sit-ups (exaggerated but you get the point). Table Five: Side to side waist trimmer Strengthens and tightens abdominal muscles in the lower back by applying slight pressure to the muscles. The stretch enforced by the table helps to improve the muscle tone in a proportioned fashion and trims the waistline as a result. Warning, all back exercises must be carried out with due consideration as the lower back is one of the easiest muscles to injure. I personally still have a twinge from years ago when I do dead lifts so be careful! All toning tables however have been pre-configured and so you do not need to worry so much in this instance. All in all the toning tables are a useful piece of gym equipment for the light user, or one more cardiovascular orientated than an out and out weightlifter. As the latter I prefer using weights and as a result have a better out-come as the exercises are more intense. These are still good though particularly for women who lack the testosterone factor weights induce and have no desire to lift the heavier equipment.
