      I love it!

With 9 aquariums, it's easy to understand that I have a wide range of aquarium ornaments, especially as some are in the living and dining room, I like them to look nice! A few things I look out for when choosing ornamnets for my tanks are-
      1. Do they have any small gaps which can trap larger fish? Believe it or not, I have had many incidences where fish have been caught swimming through gaps. This bridge provides a wide space underneath it, and as the gaps along the bridge are quite wide, the fish I have enjoy swimming through it without any problems.

      2. Does it fit with my natural theme?- All of my tanks are planted, I believe it is important to provide a natural environment for my fish which includes live plants and wood. This ornament fits in great with my natural design as I have plants across the back and the sides, this ornament fits in lovely.

      3. Will it fit my tank?- This bridge is 26cm wide, and it is important to consider if it was fit right in your tank. This bridge is in my 67 litre and fits great! There are smaller versions at the store however if you have a smaller tank.

      Price
I don't tend to consider the price when I buy my ornaments, because If I fall in love with one, the price doesn't matter! This bridge cost me £9 from my local pets at home store, which I thought was reasonable considering the prices of the other ornaments. £9 may sound steep, but I am using this ornament as the focus piece in my tank, it really stands out and unless you drop and break it, there should be no reason for it to need to be replaced.

      Overall
This bridge provides a great hiding area for shy fish, and looks great in a natural planted tank with dark gravel. With a large enough space to swim under, it is great for many catfish and adds a lovely focus piece in the tank.
In a larger tank, this would also look great as an extra ornament in the corner, or center of your tank.
I personally think it is a great price for the size of the ornament it is, and would recommend it for anyone with a medium to large sized tank.

      Thank you for reading!

A really cool looking ornament which my fish love to swim under

I recently bought a couple of goldfish and when browsing Pets at Home for some ornaments for their tank I came across this bridge ornament. It is an attractive arch shape and is styled to look like it is made out of wooden logs. I really liked the colour of it too so I decided it would be perfect for my fish tank.

The dimensions of the bridge are H 9cm x W 26cm x D 8 cm. My tank is square shaped and I have the bridge in the centre at a diagonal angle which looks really good. More importantly though, my two goldfish seem to love it. They happily swim under it and out the other side but mostly they like to shelter under there and if I sneak in to the room quietly in the morning I will often find them sleeping peacefully underneath. There is plenty of room under there for the both of them. In fact they are both under there right now as I am writing this review!

I also like that the bridge provides a shaded area in the tank which allows them to get out of the light when they feel like it. Some fish tank ornaments are merely decorative and don't allow the fish to interact with them in any way at all but this bridge actually creates a quiet, sheltered area which the fish are able to retreat into which I think is really important. My goldfish are far too big to fit through the gaps between the 'railings' of the bridge but small fish like neon tetras probably would be able to swim through there if they wanted.

The bridge is easy to remove from the tank and I just clean it by rinsing it under the tap and that is all that needs to be done.

As previously mentioned I bought this from Pets at Home. I paid £7.99 for the bridge and it was also part of a three for two mix and match offer on aquarium ornaments which was a good offer. This bridge is currently listed on the Pets at Home website but it is more expensive at £9 and is not part of the offer. I'm not sure if this now applies to in store as well so it may be worth checking before purchasing. However, either way, I think this is a really good buy. It looks great in my tank and the fish really like it so 5 stars!
