      A nicely detailed everyday belt

Like most girls I love clothes, and I just can't seem to stop myself from placing regular orders with online super-retailer www.ASOS.com. I came across the Danish brand Pieces while browsing on this site and instantly became a big fan of their designs. I now have quite a few items by them as their style seems to really fit in with the different looks that I like to wear. This Pieces Fenella belt costs RRP £15 but I got it at the reduced price of £10.00 in one of ASOS's many sale offers. This belt is available in sizes S/M and M/L. I am a UK size 10 and bought the belt in the S/M fitting. There are 5 different notches which you can use to tighten the belt, and this suits me very well when I am wearing it with jeans as they fall a bit lower than a usual waistband and rest over my hips. When I'm wearing this with trousers that sit properly on my waistline I have to fasten the belt to the tightest notch to have the required effect. Because of this I would not recommend the belt for anyone smaller than a size 10 as it would probably be too large and wouldn't fasten in enough to actually do what it's needed for. The Fenella belt is made of a black coloured material that is polyester on the outward facing side, with a PU backing. It has an all-over jacquard pattern print which is quite subtle as there is no variation in the colour so the raised patterned sections are not overly noticeable. The fabric feels quite soft and is actually quite similar to the sofa coverings in my living room! One of the big trends for this season is the baroque look, so this little belt fits in nicely with the current winter fashions. It is quite a skinny belt, measuring less than an inch wide. I like this as I'm not a fan of bulky belts getting in the way of my clothing, but it's a shame it's not a little wider to show off a greater section of the patterning. The belt fastens with a standard buckle and the hardware parts of the belt are a bright, shiny gold colour. The fastening holes are reinforced with matching gold coloured eyelets. This contrasts nicely against the black main section of the belt and adds a nice touch of detail. The eyelets are also very practical as they reinforce the holes and make the belt a lot more durable and long lasting as they do not stretch out when the belt is fastened. I have worn this belt several times each week since I bought it 8 months ago, and it has proved to be a practical and versatile accessory. It does its job well and fastens securely to keep my jeans in place so they're not sliding down over my hips every time I move. Overall, the Pieces Fenella belt is a great buy for its simple design with subtle details. I like that the buckle and eyelets are really long lasting and have kept my belt looking in great condition even when I wear it so frequently. I can recommend this belt if you're looking for something plain but not boring that will go with a range of different outfits.
