My MIL surprised me this Christmas with the gift of ladies socks in a size 9+. I had mentioned to her that normal women's socks were uncomfy so I always ended up wearing men's socks and she set herself the challenge of finding me some nice socks. As a newbie to the internet she did well to make this purchase from Amazon. The socks come mounted in a card package and look very classy and attractive.
The Noble Mount socks, sized 9-11 were a pack of three pairs in a grey and purple theme. Pair one were a diamond design, pair two were stripy and pair three were dark grey and plain.
I loved the colours and designs and wore them as soon as Boxing day. With three pairs there was always a pair coming out of the wash and as I am a bit bad for wandering around in bare feet it made a change to have warm covered feet. As I wore the socks I noticed that they were a bit rough and catching on my feet despite me using foot cream regularly. This may be due to the material which si 70% acrylic, 20% nylon and 10% spandex. As I washed the socks I noticed they began to bobble badly too.
I am now at the end of January (when I wrote this review) and the socks are showing bad signs of wear. Whilst they fit my feet length wise and I like the colours and patterns, the love ends there. I have to say I prefer cotton socks with a bit of stretch in them above these nylon ones as they are a lot softer on my skin.
A pack of three costs £14.99. They are available in the purple and grey, or black and blue or a leopard print variety pack.
It's great that there is a company out there catering for ladies with large feet and it's made a change to be able to wear my own socks (I usually pinch my husband's socks!) but I wish the materials in the socks were different. Despite the price I would be tempted to buy some more of these to even out the wearing as it has taken its toll wearing a pair every day this month! Sadly not a repurchase for me but top marks to the MIL for effort in finding these large ladies socks.
