“ Brand: Topshop / Type: Knitted Tweedy Sweat „
I picked this jumper up around two months ago now after spotting it on the sale rack in my local Topshop. The RRP for these jumpers is £36, but I got mine for a bargain £28 which I was very happy with. Although the RRP is very expensive for such a basic jumper, in my opinion it's the quality that you pay for and a Topshop jumper will last for years without bobbling etc whereas a £10 jumper from Primark will likely only last for a couple of months before losing shape. These jumpers are available in a small range of colours - blue, yellow, pink and purple. I ended up with baby pink, as only the pink and yellow ones were reduced. Although colour block is back in fashion at the minute I thought yellow would be a bit too in your face and as I am pale I also felt that it wouldn't suit me. I was a little hesistant in even getting the pink, however it's a really nice shade which in my opinion has hints of peach in it which tones it down but it still gives a nice pop of colour, livening up even the most basic of outfits. The design of the jumper is very basic. It's a long sleeved sweater with textured stitching. The jumper has a slightly scooped neck and is in a boxy style, meaning it's wide and oversized. The front of the jumper is slightly shorter than the back and is around waistband length, while the back of it is long enough to cover my bum - i'm 5'3ish so this will obviously vary on different people. Although the top is oversized with a comfy, relaxed, floaty fit it doesn't look silly or make me look bigger than I am like a lot of oversized jumpers can. The jumper is 100 percent acrylic and is soft to the touch. It looks and feels good quality although is quite thin - it's very lightweight so it is best for chilly summer evenings but it wouldn't look out of place layered under a denim/leather jacket. It's very versatile in my opinion and I have already got so much wear out of it as it's so easy to just sling on with some skinnies or leggings. I wouldn't wear this to anywhere fancy as it is very slouchy but it looks fine on trips into town/the supermarket. The jumper is machine washable and I have washed it several times now and it is still in perfect condition. I have ironed it a few times too and it was fine. The jumper is available in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16. I would reccomend getting your true size rather than a size bigger because as I said before, it's very loose fitting and oversized. I overall reccomend this jumper and I am very happy with my bargain - I would of paid full price had it not been on sale due to the quality and how versatile it is.
