My eldest daughter when she was about 3 had the Worlds Apart Rose Petal Cottage bought for her. Over the years she has outgrown it, but my youngest daughter who is now 4 absolutely loves the cottage and continues to play with it. Over the years we have added to the cottage every now and then and she still loves to receive sets for it. As she has the cottage set up in our attic she has plenty of room to spread out and immerse herself in make believe. The cottage comes with add on packs which include a sink, cooker and washing machine. I had given them old items of clothing and an empty carton of wash powder, but I didn't have any suitable tea sets that I could pass down to them (I didn't fancy letting them lose with my Wedgewood!), so when I saw the tea set at a really cheap price I bought it on impulse. It's been a hit ever since and even my nearly 7 year old likes to play with it with her little sister every now and then. The tea set is just what you would expect for something of this kind aimed at younger children (around 2-5 years I would say). It's plastic and durable. It easily wipes clean and doesn't damage in any way. The set looks lovely too and comes in pretty girly shades of pinks and lilacs. The finish quality is really good, but I think this is generally the case with the Worlds Apart range. Although the tea set is only around 18 months old, the cottage and larger items we have are probably closer to 4 years old and are still as good as new. In the set you will receive a tea pot, 4 cups and saucers, 4 spoons and the best part - 4 teabags! I have seen many tea sets over the years in toy shops, but none which include tea bags. They are also sparkly too, so only suitable for princesses. I think this makes the tea set stand out from any competition as it's so unusual to have extras like this in, and my daughter was so excited the first time she played with it. There is also a scrummy looking fabric cake which is divided into quarters so more than enough for the teddy bears picnic your little princess will no doubt enjoy with this set. Children love to divide the cake up and it teaches them the importance of sharing. I love the coordination of this set to the World's Apart cottage. The colours all fit together to make the complete set look coordinated. The endless hours that this tea set will give young children is worth the £19.99 rrp (although I was lucky and saw this for sale for £12 in Home Bargains). Keep an eye out for a bargain, as children can have so many different reasons to use this tea set and have endless hours of fun with it.
