      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Don't bother!

My son is a real lazy town fan. He knows all the characters off by heart and loves to pretend he is the show's hero 'sporticus' He was bought the Sporticus dressing up outfit last year, he wore it to death and so when I saw this Robbie Rotten dress up set reduced to £8 I decided to get it for him. Robbie Rotten is Sporticus's arch enemy and the bad villain of the show. I thought it would be good it would encourage his imagination.

However, the only thing this set encouraged were gasps of astonishment. Because, none of us could believe how rubbish it was!!!! Although it is described as a dressing up set there is only one item of clothing included and that is a waistcoat. There is also a wig. However, these two items are of such cheap and tacky quality that they were laughable for all the wrong reasons. The wig was has huge in size and was too big for my son and kept slipping off. Whilst the waistcoat was again too big and after wearing it once, went to the very bottom of his toybox, never to resurface.

The only saving grace within this set is a small periscope. My son has played with this a few times as it works really well. It is quite good quality and has a button on it which when pressed will play recorded sayings which 'Robbie rotten' says on the show. However, the voice on the periscope doesn't sound anything like Robbie Rotten and again I found that disappointing.

I have to admit, I found this set a huge letdown from start to finish. I have hand on heart, bought much better quality items from the pound shop. I think for the price, this set could have and should have been so much better in terms of quality of materials used. It looks to me to have been made as cheap and as quickly as possible for as much money as possible and I was really annoyed.

My son still occasionally plays with the periscope, but uses it when dressed in his pirate costume. He has never bothered with his 'Robbie Rotten' waistcoat or wig and to be honest, I don't blame him. My advice to anyone toying with the idea of buying this set is save your money as it is a load of rubbish!!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

good for a periscope but the rest is cheap and rubbish

Having the ultimate number 1 lazy town fan after getting his sportacus dress up costume he then decided the robbie rotten would be good fun. However at the time it was new and priced £19.99 and refused to pay that, until one day i found it reduced on amazon to £4.99 so bargain price i grabbed it.

      So who is Robbie Rotten?
Robbie Rotten is from the kids tv series Lazy Town which is about a group of kids, a mayor, a villain and a super hero. It is quite weird in that 3 are only real characters the rest are played by puppets. It has very catchy songs though which kids just love. Robbie Rotten is the bad guy in it, who is always trying to get rid of the hero by coming up with master schemes disguised as different things. However these always go wrong and he never wins.

      The costume-
We were really looking forward to this arriving as the Sportacus costume was excellent and kept my son entertained for ages and was looking forward to a change as the same phrases were driving me mad. It does come in quite a large box, however when we opened it, we were really disappointed at how little you got and the real poor quality.

Included is a waistcoat, wig and periscope.

The waistcoat is very thin and poorly bad and very cheap, the fabric is that thin you can see through it. where as the sportacus wasitcoat was real thick fabric almost velvet like.

The wig is quite amusing as has big side burns and a large quiff which sticks out a mile. however again it is very cheaply made.

The best part and only part worth paying for is the working periscope. It is well made and works really well and also has a button on the front which says various phrases and plays a clip from the 'master of disguise' song.

Overall I cannot believe this is the same product as the sportacus outfit as it is totally different quality and absolute rubbish. If i had paid full price it would of gone back with a big complain but for £5 the periscope probally just justifies that and my son seems to like it.

      Definately dont waste your money
