Ideal starter set with a instruction book which is great

I picked mine up from Amazon but they were actually via ELC and I paid just under 10pounds. Since my local Early Learning Centre closed, I actually buy quite a lot of ELC products from Amazon as the price is the same (sometimes it can be a little cheaper) and also the shipping is normally free. You can also buy from places such as EBay, Hobbycraft and the Snazaroo website.

There are also lots of sets available, as well as individual pots of paints and prices start from just a couple of pounds.

The set consists of 8 x 2ml pots different coloured face paints (black, white, pink, red, green, purple, blue and yellow), a painting brush and a sponge which are presented on a little black tray which is great when it comes to storing the product and ensuring I don’t lose anything.

By far, my favourite part of the set was the 24 page guide which is included, these gives step by step guides on how to create lots of different faces such as a dragon, a lion and best of all, what we needed, a pirate. Over the years, I have mastered the art of creating a butterfly, I struggled with anything else.

The paints are quite solid, so to use, I just add a little water to either my sponge or brush and I find that the paint then softens and attaches itself easily to the utensil and then on to Laurens face.

The colours are bright and quite bold which is great for getting these images perfect, I also find that they blend easily with each other too so I can make a nice pink butterfly if I want.

All Snazaroo paints are water based which means that are easy to remove (and I can vouch for this, Lauren recently had her face painted when were out shopping and it took a couple of days to remove all traces) yet with comes away effortlessly with a little soap and water.

I also like that the products are all Hypo-allergenic which means they shouldn’t cause any irritations on little faces however Snazaroo to recommend that you do a patch test before using just to be on the safe side.

I would definitely recommend this set, its ideal for starting out and lasts such a long time. It gets a full 5 out of 5 stars from me.
