An excellent addition for a little princess

Born To Play Disney Princess Vanity Table On our little ones last birthday, a couple of people teamed together to buy her this beautiful Disney Princess vanity table which cost them approximately £50.00. I have searched online and found a similar design for the same price from Toys R Us. Amazon do not seem to have this in any design at the moment. It seems that there are three different designs which I have come across, with the frame and everything else the same, though with small differences in the design. Our little one has recently got into the typical little girl things such as play makeup, brushing her hair herself and so forth, though the great thing about this table/desk is that it works well doubled as a desk as well. My little one loves storing her brush and such upon it, though also loves sitting at it eating or drawing! The desk (although described as a vanity table I think desk works better) is quite large standing at approximately 22 inches tall from floor to desk and approximately 45 inches from floor to the very top of the mirror back. My little one is quite small for her age, so I would say that the age range would start at perhaps four to five years of age. The desk is absolutely beautiful and it comes with a matching beautiful chair. It is all made of wood and comes flat packed though is extremely easy to assemble (and easy to disassemble if required) with plastic clips which simply push into various ready made gaps in the desk and chair. I was not sure at first whether this would be stable enough, though once everything is in place the desk and chair are very secure. The colors are a mix of pale greens, yellows, pinks, lilacs etc with Disney Princesses on either side of the desk as well as the chair back. There are two sides to the desk which slot together with a pink foot rest at the bottom and the checkered desk part nearer the top. There is a small yellow shelf just above the main desk area with two holes at either end which are great to hold pens in the containers. The back piece does not go all the way down, though rises above the main desk area and contains a round mirror decorated with flowers, ribbons and hearts all around. The chair comes in five parts, the back, two sides, the seat and a small yellow rest. It matches the desk perfectly with a Disney Princess on the back and a small castle on the seat area. Each side is beautifully decorated with some lovely wording each side. My little one absolutely loves this desk, and although £50 is a lot of money, for what this is, I am surprised that it is not far more. I fully recommend this desk for any little princess!

A great product which would look great in any little princesses palace.

You may have noticed I have reviewed and will be reviewing a lot of Disney Princess items. My daughter is a huge Disney Princess fan and has had a lovely all the trimmings Disney Princess bedroom since she was 2 (she's now 5) so I have bought a lot of Disney Princess items in the last couple of years. This vanity unit is a huge hit with my daughter, although she is getting a little bit too big for it now size wise, (she is 6 next month though.) She uses it not only as a vanity unit but as a desk too and spends lots of time sat at it with a pot of pens and paper. Size: Item size: 102 x 68 x 45cm Chair Size: 74 x 37 x 37cm Desk Height: 50.5cm Seat Height: 28cm Design: The colours are lovely shades of pink, lilac, yellow and blue, they are nice and soft colours rather than bold and bright. It has pictures of Sleeping Beauty, Bell and Cinderella, it also has pretty flowers climbing up the sides, a picture of a carriage and a crown. It has a sweet little oval mirror facing you when sat at the table, which my daughter loves, when she is putting on her eye shadow and lip-gloss, bless her. There is a small shelf underneath the mirror with two plastic pots at both ends to store, pencils and lip gloss in my daughter's case! Cost: We bought my daughters from toys r us a few years back. It cost about £50 Toys r Us are now doing a different design Disney Princess vanity unit which seems much more compact for £49.99 The item does come flat packed but it is very simple to fix together as the instructions are very easy to follow and the pieces slot into place. The only problem I find is that although it looks quite compact and small, and although it is quite low, it is very bulky and takes up a lot of my daughter's bedroom. My daughter also has a double seat, with storage and a chalk board which match this item, therefore these matching accessories and others are available.

A useful piece of furniture for a little princess's bedroom.

I think, looking back, the moment I found out my second child would be a baby girl at my 20 week scan I KNEW what kind of bedroom my little princess would have...the ultimate in pink and girly ...Disney Princess!(Having a boy for the previous 8 years did it, I was all Bob the Builder, Harry Potter and Footballed out) Thankfully my daughter is happy to go along with my princess bedroom dream, she loves anything pink and princessy too. And thats how last year this piece of furniture found it's way into our house. I didn't actually set out looking for a Disney Princess set , I was looking for a desk for my little darlings room. However when I spotted this in Toys 'r' us I fell in love. My mother, with me at the time, bought it there and then for a very decent price of £49.99. I had to double check the price a couple of times, because it seemed so reasonable for what looked a very good quality bit of furniture, especially with the DP brand, compared to other un-branded desks we had looked at. It's actually described as a vanity table, however I bought it as, and my daughter uses it as a desk and chair. It's made with good quality, thick chipboard and painted in shades of pinks, blues and lilacs. It features pictures of favourite princess's Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella alongside carriages, castles, flowers and princessy quotes such as " Once upon a dream" It all comes flat packed, but is so unbelievably simple to assemble, it only took me 5 minutes. This is due to it having no nails or screws. You don't even need any tools to put it together. It goes together by slotting the parts into each other, and securing with a big chunky plastic pegs. The beauty with this method of assembly is not just it's ease at constructing, but also that to take it down, store, move, and re-assemble is effortless and won't cause any damage to the furniture itself. The desk top is a good size, giving plenty of room for creative play. The small upper shelf and 2 plastic pots give plenty of storage for pens, pencils, rubbers and all the other stationary we have collected. Being a bit vain (with good reason of course, she's gorgeous!) my daughter loves the mirror. The chair is high backed and more comfertable than a stool. It's easy to clean with just a wipe over with a damp cloth. The chair measures 11 inches from floor to seat, and the desk 20 inches from floor to desk top/45 inches from floor to top of back board. The manufactors age guide is 3-7. I can confirm that from 3 it has been the perfct size for my daughter. I'm not sure if it will last until 7 though. I'm guessing 6 years but even then we would have had 3 years from it, and for the price I'm happy with that. Surprisingly, it is very sturdy and robust. We've had ours up almost 18 months now, and it's been well used, climbed upon, shifted about and knocked yet still looks like new. Another plus in this desks favour is the rounded edges, making a great safety feature against nasty bumps. I would highly reccomend this to anyone in the market for a desk for a younger girl, don't be put off by it's Vanity table title as it's extremely functional as a first desk.
