Simple is a brand that many of us know and love, i trust them to look after me from head to toe. I paid £7 for my Simple Radiance Brightening Eye Cream from amazon.
Dark circles is something i have struggled with all my life, so of course when i see that a brand i love has created a product to help me with this i buy it straight away. I also have very sensitive skin which limits what creams etc i can use on my face, not to mention around my eyes.
I'm glad to be able to say that the cream did not irritate my eye area at all and as with all. After using it i felt better about myself and i notices that the skin around my eyes felt ever so slightly tighter (i couldnt decide if this was a good thing) but unfortunately theres little change i noticed about the circles, lets just say they certainly weren't radiant or bright.
I'm very disappointed in Simple for creating a product which doesn't actually work, and after reading other reviews on the product, it would appear im not the only one with similar results.
I am constantly on the look out for crams and lotions which will help to rid my eyes of dark circles and puffiness and as I love the Simple range of products as they are good quality and generally speaking they are also a reasonable price, I was tempted into buying their Radiance Brightening Eye cream. I bought mine from Boots for just over £7 then was pretty unhappy to discover that Superdrug are also selling this at more than a pound less. Just shows it pays to shop around.
This 15ml container of brightening eye cream contains extract of mango, which is meant to help give the skin a glow, and helps to rid the eye area of dark pigmentation and circles and reduce puffiness. It also contains light reflecting particles that are said to both illuminate and smooth out the area around the eyes.
I love to use Simple products because the manufacturers do not add any unnecessary ingredients to their products and also their products contain no perfumes or colours. I've been using this cream now for approximately three months, almost on a daily basis and to be honest I cannot see any change to the puffiness around my eye area and there has been no change to the dark circles I suffer from, either.
On the positive side, this cream is absorbed very quickly into my skin and it seems to cool and sooth the eye area, especially if I am feeling very tired. It feels medium level constitency and as it contains shea butter bisabolol, this helps to smoothen and refine the skin around the eyes and it's great to wear underneath make up as a base.
I only need to use a small amount as it spreads around easily and dries almost instantly on the skin. I like to store mine in the top of my fridge as this makes it more effective when applying to the skin and gives a more calming and cooling effect to the skin.
I am disappointed that it's made little to no difference to my dark circles but on the other hand I do still like to use it for its soothing and cooling affects, especially if I have over-indulged in the red wine the evening before.
I'd recommend it as a nice general moisturiser for the delicate eye area but for me personally if fails to live up to its claims.
