Price I bought this for £6.49 from Boots although I have heard that Wilkinsons now stock the Garnier range at cheaper prices. Still, it appeared food value for a product which I wouldn't necessarily use that often. After a few weeks use only a miniscule amount is used. Packaging The packaging is in-fitting with the rest of the Garnier range. The roll-on comes in a box (which maybe is a little big giving the illusion that the product is going to be bigger than it actually is). It's cool green colour gives a citrus feel, although it is slightly see through plastic so you can still see the liquid inside which is reassuring. Results The product claims to have pro-vitamin B5 that will refresh and hydrate the eye area. The product information also suggests that bags will be reduced as a result of use. The roller ball means application is easy - although I wouldn't recommend sharing this product with others! The rollerball does mean that the application feels smooth and definitely makes the eye area feel refreshed (especially after wearing contact lenses all day and general 'eye tiredness'). After a few weeks use I can also say that my eye area does feel adequately moisturised (although I know this isn't a specific aim of the product). In respect of getting rid of dark circle though I don't think this product lives up to the aims and realistically an ample nights sleep is probably the best solution in this case! Also I would be a bit worried about long term use in respect of potential eye infections etc.
If I am honest I don't have any real problem with puffyness or dark bags on my under eye area - but bought this product after a recommendation from my sister (who funnily enough, has no problems with her eye area either!). The product comes in a stick which is filled with the liquid, and has a metal ball applicator which makes it very straightforward to use. After you have applied it to the under eye area it feels SO cool, fresh, and relaxing! The liquid itself does not absorb into the skin (although maybe I am excessively applying because I love the feeling of it!) so I have to wipe it off before applying my make-up in the morning. As mentioned, I don't have any of the specific problems which it claims to target - but I do think it makes my eyes feel more awake and alert - particularly after a night without enough sleep or a stressful day! The closest thing which I can compare it with is taking off high-heeled shoes after a night out...the feeling is just....lovely! I bought this product on special offer, and when I have used the full tube I probably wouldn't buy another at full price. To get my 'cool-eye' fix I may do as a previous reviewer has suggested - put some spoons in the freezer and place those over my eyes instead! All in all, a good product for a bit of light comfort...but probably no miracle worker for real undereye problems.
As a sufferer of dark circles under my eyes I was really hoping this would be the solution but after long extended use nothing has happened and I have wasted a hell of a lot of money on these! *The Packaging and stick* Like most garnier products you get the black box with the picture and the product inside, The eye roll on is a green thick stick, very similar size and feel to a pen, It has a flat bottom to allow it to stand up and it has a screw lid where the applicator is! The applicator is a tiny silver ball that rolls along the skin under your eyes! It can be purchased from Boots at 9.99 or the cheapest I have seen this is about 6 pounds, still very expensive! *Application* Simply screw off the top and roll on to your eyes, the liquid inside is very wet and cold, it does soothe around the eye area and that's about it, the liquid does not absorb and has to be wiped off which is annoying, if you slip and get too close to the eye you can get some burning and I started having a weird tingly rash under my eyes in the last three days of use that made me put it straight in the bin! *Results* The instant results are okay but nothing special, the coldness adds a shine and makes puffyness go down for around an hour, but they come back so its not very long lasting, The area applied becomes really sticky and heavy on the eyes, There is no long term results from this, I have spent too much money trying to get the results but there are none, at ten pound a stick, each lasting a month for a couple of months I have spent a lot of money for no long time results, *Overall* I would recommend it if you slept late, but a cold cucumber or a cold spoon would do the same job, So under no circumstances would I recommend paying this amount of money for a really short lasting result!
Im sure by now most of us have seen the Garnier Eye Roll-on advert on the television and when i first saw it i didn't really think anything of it, then the other day I came across it in the chemist and I had just had the worst nights sleep for a long time. My eyes were looking puffy and had black rings around them, so as I looked at this product I thought I might try it. The packaging is bright green and it has a roll on ball which you just roll below the eyes and onto the eye lids to refreshen and energise the eyes. it cost me £6.99 at the chemist and i used it straight away. The Garnier Eye Roll-on is made by the well known L'Oreal Company which makes hair colouring, beauty products and perfumes. I'm sure we have all got the "because we're worth it" ditty stamped onto our minds from the adverts. As for the roll on it seemed a little sticky to me at first but sank into my skin quickly. My eyes did feel a little more open after about five minutes and I looked at the puffyness of them in the shop window and they did seem a little more normal looking and not like I was tired out. This is a good product for sticking in your handbag it has caffeine in it so it will perk the skin around the eyes up. I do like the product its not an instant eye brightener but does help with swollen eye lids due to lack of sleep, it doesn't do anything for dark shadows under the eyes but will take the puffyness away that you sometimes get in the mornings with lack of sleep. It dries quickly and isn't sticky to wear and rolls on quickly and easy.
