When it comes to finding a product for your eyes- i think you have to be very careful because the skin around your eyes is much thinner and delicate.
What attracted me to buying the garner eye roll on is that firstly a) it was a gel and b) it came with a roller. So many eye creams are thick and heavy and i don't like the idea of putting them around my eyes because too much product can cause breakouts and melia.
The eye roller is very easy to use- you literally just use the ballpoint to roll it under your eyes over your bags and dark circles. It has a cooling effect and quality to it which is really good to use in the morning and definitely help wakes me up!
Saying that- i am disappointed with the results of the product as it meant to be a multi purpose eye treatment- for puffiness, dark circles and bags. I did not notice much difference to my eyes especially no difference with my dark circles.
The price of the product is relatively cheap- but if you aren't getting the results that it claims then there's no point in buying it. I do not get any side effects from using this eye roller whereas i have used heavy eye creams before and it has made my eye worse.
So although this product is okay- there are plenty worse produts- and i still am on the search to find a product that works for my eyes.
I received this as a free sample and gladly accepted! I used this on a regular basis to, hopefully, get the results desired.
My issues at the moment are dark circles and puffy eyes, this is a product that deals specifically with those two issues, wonderful! You would think :(
It says this has immediate effect's but I didn't see that.
The product is designed like a pen to be more applicable to 'roll on' under your eyes and hpefully target the entire eye area.
Using caffeine, that is well known to be a stimulant, and better to apply onto skin then to drink it, I thought this might be the one!
I've used roll on eye products before some say roll on and I expect the metal ball to move and apply the serum and then there are others that just sit there[???] But this one has motion and the application of the serum is easy.
I would say the metal ball is cold and I believe that is what stimulate the blood to start flowing not the caffeine.
I used this and hoped for the best, but I didn't see an immediate difference as claimed.
I decided everyone is different maybe it will take longer but nothing.
I don't think I have a major issue[ I hope not!] with puffiness and dark circles but this didn't add anything to my routine or improve it sadly.
This retailed at the time for £8 but it was, unfortunately, a little wasted on this product.
I purchased this Garnier Eye Roll on for approx £10 from my nearest Boots store. Boots are still currently selling the Garnier eye roll on for £10. It is also available to buy from Superdrug but at a slightly higher price of £10.49, Amazon has it for sale at £7.90, but they are currently low on stock according to their website. Lloydspharmacy.com have it priced at £7.94, Allbeauty.com £7.90, and eBay have a few on sale from £6.
What is it for?
It is designed to reduce the appearance of dark circles, and bags under the eyes. It aims to refresh the skin around the eyes using the caffeine extract and B5 vitamin to moisture the skin.
The Garnier Eye Roll on is a long thin lime green coloured tube which has a unique curved like shape to its body. It has a white plastic lid that screws on and off the top, which when removed reveals a white coloured roll on ball that allows the application of the contents.
How to Use
Simply unscrew the transparent plastic lid and gently grasp the body of the tube with your hand. The roll on ball is small in size but once you start applying the moisturiser onto the bags and dark circles under your eyes in a circular motion the small ball actually allows a good amount of coverage for the small area under the eyes. The roll on ball is also very smooth and therefore feels nice as it massages into the skin gently, this is very important as the skin under the eyes are delegate and therefore the smooth roll on balls have been designed well.
The body of the tube is curved allowing good grip and control over the application of the liquid, as the last thing you need is to lose grip and it to smudge into the eye! The roll on ball dispenses a clear liquid that isn't too runny or too thick, instead has nice consistency to ensure easy application.
I do suffer from frequent black bags and dark circles under my eyes and thought it was worth trying this product to help relieve the appearance of such problems. Once applying the roll on liquid I felt it was nice and gentle and cooling on my skin, however I didn't notice the bags and dark circles disappearing much. There was a slight change in colour so the under eye circles weren't as dark as before, however nothing that really made much of a difference.
The main positive I experienced from using this roll on product was that once applied it makes my under eye skin feel slightly more refreshed and actually makes my eyes feel more alert and awake, which is especially useful after a hard days work and you need something to make you feel slightly more refreshed, and reduce the heavy eye feeling when sleepy. This for me is big advantage, as I tend to feel tired a lot quicker than the average person and having this caffeine and B5 cool roll on has been very handy.
Overall this Gariner Eye Roll on doesn't make much difference in the appearance of dark circles and under eye bags, but does make the skin feel more refreshed and as a result in my experience made my eyes feel less tired and more awake. However the £10 price tag does seem too much for this product considering it doesn't make a huge difference for me in terms of bags and dark circles, therefore I would only really buy this if it was priced £5-6 or on offer and as a result would rate this 3/5.
Item: Garnier Eye Roll On
Bought in: Boots
Oh geez, has old age caught up with me or am I just falling for the media hype? I was staring at my face a few weeks back and noticed I had really dark circles under them. They may have been there a while and I've literally not noticed them or maybe they have appeared overnight like some kind of Voo Doo curse but either way, there they were. So what do I do to deal with them, I head to Boots of course and have a look in the sensible facial care section. Oh wow, hadn't really taken that much notice of that section before but there are a lot of products on the go. I wasn't sure if I wanted a cream or a serum or something that looked like a tiny silk pillow that I had to twist the end off so I decided to go for a well-known brand, mid price and in a colour I liked haha and ended up with the Garnier Eye Roll On.
Packaging and design:
The roller comes in a cardboard box. The box is black and bright green and very eye catching. Across the front of the box it has "Garnier Skin Naturals" across the top with a circular "leaf" design behind it to emphasis the "natural" element. The box actually shows you what the roller looks like so you can get a good idea of what it is without having to take it out of the box. "Caffeine Eye Roll On" is written across the middles of the box with "Caffeine plus antioxidant grape extract" under that. The front of the box also advises that this is an "anti-bags, anti-dark circles formula" perfect for my needs so that lured me in too. There is also a diagram of an eye with the roller under it with an arrow going both left and right to literally show you what you are required to do to apply the roller. The front of the box is super clear and really easy to understand. Ideal for a first time dark circle customer like myself! It is basically eye rollers for dummies haha The back of the box as further details on application and ingredients but isn't as exciting haha The roller itself is in a bright green tube with a clear plastic lid. The tube is 11cm long and roller on the top is 1cm wide and looks like the end of a giant roller ball pen. The tube just has a very simple clear sticker on it that states Garnier Roll on and the weight so if you want to refer back to details if the product it is best to keep the box.
Application, smell and results:
You simply take the lid off the tube, put it to the skin under your eyes and roll back and forth. The claims are that the caffeine and grape extract will seep in to your skin and invigorate your skin to reduce the darkness. I have seen a slight improvement but at the same time as buying the roll on I decided to make sure and get more early nights and have been using this at the same time so nit sure which has had more effect. The box doesn't explicitly say when to use it but I have been rolling this on in the mornings after my shower and letting it dry in before applying any make up. The liquid comes out easily and you don't have to tip your head back. The liquid is thin and clear and has a very faint "ink" smell. This dries in roughly 60 to 90 seconds after application dependant on how many times I have rolled it across the skin. The rubbing action feels quite nice and I think that probably contributes to encouraging blood flow just with the action of moving the ball across your skin. Once the liquid has dried in it doesn't feel tacky or sticky and you can easily apply your make up over it.
There has been a slight reduction in the darkness under my eyes but it is hard to say if it has all been down to the eye roller. I have had more early nights so that may have contributed but the use of the roller certainly hasn't had any negative results. The roller feels nice under my eyes and it only takes a couple of minutes to apply each day. I have used this for a few weeks now and it still has a fair amount of left in it, I'd estimate over half full, but it's hard to say as you can't see through the tube.
Overall I think that this deserves 4 stars. It is easy to apply and feels nice but as I can't definitely say it has reduced the dark circles I won't give it full marks. Also at £9.99 it is quite pricey so if I buy this again I will wait until there is a sale in Boots or Superdrug.
I've used a few products from Garnier over the past few years and some of them have been good but I find that it's generally speaking a range that is slightly hitty-missy (for me, anyway). As I suffer from dark circles under my eyes (and a bit of puffiness if I am tired) I decided to give Garnier Eye Roll on a try as it was actually heavily recurred from almost £11 to only £3.99 in Home Bargains. I'd read a few good reviews about this product so was eager to try it out for myself.
This eye roll on comes in a choice o colours ranging from fair to dark. As I have very pale skin and light coloured hair, obviously I opted for the lightest shade they had. It looked pretty simple and easy to use with a little metallic roller ball on the end which is meant to be gently rolled under the eye area to reduce those nasty circles.
The first time I tried this roller ball I was a bit taken aback by how cold that little metallic roller ball felt underneath my eye. I suppose that is its intention, however, as anything cold on the eye area s meant to help with reducing puffiness etc. Then as I rolled it across the eye area I noticed that it released the skin tint which was very light in colour and thin in consistency. There is no way that you can just roll this applicator underneath your eye area and just leave it otherwise you'd be left with tinted under eyes. You have to blend it very gently and carefully with your finger - I used my ring finger.
The result was that it looked just like I had used my ordinary Radiant Touch underneath my eye. I used this roller for about four to five weeks in total and then I stopped because at the end of the day I discovered that whilst it does a pretty good job of actually disguising those dark circles I am prone to, it doesn't actually do ANYTHING at all in terms of preventing them in the first place.
Essentially, I see this beauty product simple as a concealer with a metallic roller ball on the end. It really didn't do anything at all for me in terms of reducing dark circles on a more permanent basis, but it did actually cover them up as any concealer would do. I also found that the small pigments in the concealer dried into little tiny particles around the eye area, wherever I had applied t, and it started to look slightly 'cakey' by the end of the day.
I'm glad I tried this product, at the end of the day, but I am also very glad that I didn't pay full price for it, either. Overall, I'd give it only two stars because for me, it simply doesn't live up to its claims.
I bought this in March after having a baby recently and seeing it advertised on TV I thought it sounded good and was worth a try.
I had started to look really tired with all the broken nights sleep, I had bags under my eyes and they were starting to look a bit dark underneath so this sounded perfect.
In the advertisements and the product information it explains that it is a cooling moisturizer that can be rolled on. It has caffeine and Pro-vitamin B5 in it which cools and hydrates the skin so that your eyes look lovely and refreshed and take away any puffiness or dark circles. This sounded perfect to me! The roll on comes in a nice oblong box and certainly looks the part. You can buy it from many places, I got mine from Superdrug.
When I got the product home I couldn't wait to try it out. It is simple to use you just roll it across the under eye area and it's as easy as that. Due to the container having the roller it applies the right amount for you which is great. It doesn't really smell of anything which I thought was a bit weird at first.
The product leaves your eyes feeling nice and refreshed and has a cool feeling on the area it is applied to. You can see where you have applied it as it leaves a shiny area.
I used it as part of my night beauty regime every day. I did not notice a massive difference but there was definitely a bit of an improvement. My eyes felt less puffy and I don't think they looked as dark so it did do something. I don't think it totally eliminates every problem though but it's still worth spending money on as it does help.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants the area around their eyes to look good, I think it improves a persons overall look if their eyes look bright so worth the money.
I had read lots of reviews about this product and when I was doing my grocery shopping, I spotted it on a shelf in the beauty isle. Me being me, a self-confessed beauty addict, I couldn't resist and put it in my trolley. I think it costed somewhere around the £8 mark, but don't quote me on this as I have lost the receipt!
The product itself comes in a slim tube which bulges in the middle. The tube is a bright lime green with a clear screw on cap. Through the cap, you can see the roller-ball which is how the product is dispensed. The ball is shiny and cool and you are supposed to run the ball underneath your eyes so that the cool liquid can soothe and the caffeine inside can brighten and reduce the eye bags/puffiness.
When I smooth this under my eyes, the ball feels amazing on my skin, so cold and metallic. The liquid is soothing and doesn't have a distinctive scent, which I really like. It dries quite quickly, but most of the time I find that it leaves a tacky residue on my skin. I really don't like this aspect of the product and don't think I will be re-buying purely for that reason.
Although I like the idea of the product, and when I apply it I do feel the tightening effects of the gel. But I don't actually SEE any of the effects which is what I wanted from this. The tacky after-feel also means that I can't apply any make-up straight after using it, this is annoying because I am mainly using it in the morning to brighten my eyes up and that's when I'm applying my make-up too. As it delays me in the morning, I find that I am not using it everyday, which could be why I am not seeing the benefits. But I don't need another drawback in the mornings. So like I said, I think this is a brilliant idea, I wouldn't buy it again, purely because for me, the cons majorly outweigh the pros.
Since i can remember ive allways had dark dull under eyes, after a long hard day my eyes would feel so dry and irritable. I decided to buy an eye roll on because people allways raved about it (you cant allways trust reviews though!) so i check it out, and this is a must have. No need to get eye cream stuck under your nails because this is a roll on, the metal ball cools your eyes and the cream moisturizes them. its so easy to use and thats why i loved it. sometimes i can be too lazy to bring creams with me and apply them in a public bathroom, but this is litterally 2 quick rolls around your eyes and your good to go! and the best thing of all? its such good value, i got mine for £7! if you dont buy it..ah well more for me! the only bad thing is applying to much causes a stick feeling to your eyes so becareful.
I purchased this Garnier eye roll on about 6 weeks ago as I had been after one for a while to try and get rid of dark circles around my eyes and at the time they were on offer for half price in Superdrug. Their was a few to choose from including tinted ones that would act as a concealer too and so came in three different shades of light, medium and dark. However, as this was my first time using one I was not bothered about a tinted one, I simply wanted one just to get rid of puffiness and dark circles and so opted for the normal 'Garnier Caffeine Eye Roll-On'.
Boots state that this: "Garnier Eye Roll-on enriched with caffeine is Garnier's first-ever roll-on to hydrate, cool & refresh tired-looking eyes. Garnier Eye Roll-on is enriched with Caffeine, the roll-on is a handbag must-have, great for on-the-go women. The cooling moisturiser contains Caffeine and Pro-vitamin B5 for a bright eyed look!"
The roll on is very simple to use and just like a roll on deodorant it glides on very easily and quickly, there is no need to have to glide this around your eye lots of times as a lot goes on I find after just 2 applications on each eye. As it does make the skin around your eye wet then I don;t carry this around my bag to apply throughout the day as it would ruin my eye make-up! However, if you tend not to wear make-up on a daily basis then this might be a great thing to carry around with you as it is so small and does instantly make my eyes feel refreshed and more awake after applying.
I have been using this twice a day, firstly on a morning when I wake up which is when I like to use it best as it instantly brightens my tired eyes up, and on a night just before I go to bed when I have taken my make-up off. I have been doing this everyday for the 6 weeks I have had the product but unfortunately I haven't really noticed any improvement on the actual appearance of my eyes, I still seem to have dark circles. It does make them feel refreshed and soft after I have just applied it but that doesn't seem to last and so that is why it would probably benefit those who don't mind applying this throughout the day.
I left this for around 6 weeks before I wrote a review on it in hope that eventually it would improve the appearance of my eyes but I have still had no luck and I think a product like this should have worked by now after using it twice a day everyday!
As I bought this in hope it would make the appearance of my eyes better and get rid of my bags slightly then I am left quite disappointed. I won't be purchasing this one again and will instead try another brand.
This is priced at £9.99 and is available from Boots and Superdrug as well as other stores that sell the popular branded skincare products. I purchased mine for £5 as it was half price from Superdrug, but I wouldn't even consider buying it for that price again as it did not what do what I bought it for.
For as long as I can remember, I have always suffered with dark circles under my eyes, but as I have got older, I have also developed bags.
Always one to be taken in by a bargain, I spotted this on offer in Tescos for around £3.50 so I decided to but some.
Garnier state: New Garnier Eye Roll-on enriched with caffeine is Garnier's first-ever roll-on to hydrate, cool & refresh tired-looking eyes. Garnier Eye Roll-on is enriched with Caffeine, the roll-on is a handbag must-have, great for on-the-go women. The cooling moisturiser contains Caffeine and Pro-vitamin B5 for a bright eyed look
Sounds good, so the following morning I applied to my eyes, this was really simple, just role the product along the lines/contours of your eyes and off you go.
Upon application, the first thing I noticed was how it was nice and cool and did feel quite pleasant and refreshing however the product did seem to come out quite unevenly so I had to use my finger to 'rub' in and distribute.
The cooling sensation was really the only good part about it, I have been using mine daily now for about 3 months and can see absolutely no difference whatsoever. Having said that, the product does last a long time as I have still got just over half the bottle left.
Another down side of the product was getting it out, I find I have to keep the tube stood upside down otherwise quite often, I would role it over my skin and nothing was coming out.
The RRP is normally around £10 for a 15ml bottle however since buying, I have noticed it is quite frequently reduced in the supermarkets or Boots run it in the 3 for 2 offer quite a bit.
Product information provided by Boots.com
For £3.50, it is an ok product but I cannot really recommend it as it has done nothing it should have, I would never recommend if it was £10.

Thanks for reading.
After suffering many sleepless nights with my daughter and still even though she is 8 months old the odd restless night I have developed dark circles under my eyes. Unfortunately 8 full hours of blissful sleep is impossible for me to achieve most nights so I needed something to perk up my eyes. I don't like wearing make-up and only do so as a last resort and even then I find dark circles the hardest to get rid of. I bought this for an eye watering £9.99 from Tesco.
The product comes in a tube with a roller ball applicator. This product is now also available with added make-up to banish dark circles, it costs the same and comes in light, medium and dark.
The roll on contains caffeine and pro vitamin B5, it is said to refresh, revitalise and cool tired looking eyes as well as moisturise the eye area.
The product is simple to use, you simply roll it over your under eye area and if there is any excess liquid you can just rub this in with your fingers. The product has an instant cooling effect as soon as it is applied to the eyes. It also tingles the eye area. I liked this as it made my itchy tired eyes feel really nice and refreshed. I did notice however that sometimes too much of the product can come out and if you don't rub it in afterwards it can leave a flaky layer on your skin which doesn't look very attractive. I can't say I noticed any difference in the appearance of the dark circles under my eyes. I used this religiously for weeks and there was no visable difference. The only thing this does is cool the eye area and this can be achieved using cucumber or tea bags for a fraction of the price! The product did make my eye area feel more moisturised and less itchy but again I have used eye creams that cost less that do this.
All in all this didn't live up to it's claims, I wouldn't recommend it but I will give it 2 out of 5 stars for it's cooling and moisturising properties.
I keep my Garnier Eye Roll-On in the fridge. It has a metal tip so when I apply it, it's freezing. That's certainly an eye-opener but I don't know if it's the product or the temperature that does the job!
I use it morning and night and it feels good. It reduces the puffiness of my eyes a bit but not drastically unfortunately. It retails in chemists for about a tenner and lasts me around 2 months which is pretty good! You only need to use a little every time and whenever my eyes are looking particularly shocking I give them a roll each and they perk up a bit. This product is available in a tinted version as well which I haven't tried yet but I like this one. The bright green packages makes it stand out and it's small and light enough to apply like a pen. The metal tip makes me a bit squeamish as I'm always scared that it might scratch my delicate eye area but so far nothing like that's happened! I used to use an eye cream from Boots but that made my eyes even more puffy so this provides welcome relief. It's got quite a watery consistency which is refreshing and really easy to use.
I'm forever staying up too late, and getting up too early in the morning, so bags under my eyes are forever a problem. So when my mum told me she'd bought this, I thought I'd give it a go myself. This product retails at £9.30 from most cosmetics stores.
The Garnier Nutritionist Caffeine Eye roll on stick claims to brighten and refresh the eyes and reduce 'puffiness' and signs of dark circles.
The eye roll on is sold in 15ml sticks. It is bright green, and takes the shape of a thin, rounded stick. There is a label on the front stating the brand logo and the product details. On the back is various information about recycling the product. The stick has a clear screw off lid, which reveals a metal ball, from which the product is rolled on by.
To apply the product you roll the stick under your eyes until enough product is applied. From experience I can recommend to use two to three strokes per eye. Because you don't need that much product per application, the product lasts a long time.
The caffeine stick provides a cooling effect, so in some sense it awakens you, but it doesn't quiet live up to all of its promises. The eye roll on stick claims to reduce dark circles...it doesn't. Yes, your eyes do feel more awake from the cold substance, but they do not actually make dark circles or puffy eyes disappear.
When I first used this product I was expecting my eyes to look refreshed and like I'd just had a full night's sleep. The real effects were not really much lived up to my expectations.
For £9.30 I think that this product isn't really what it should be, and therefore will not be purchasing it again. I have rated this product a measly 2 stars, because it does refresh and revitalise your eyes, but doesn't live up to its promises of radically reducing dark circles under the eyes.
You can by this product in store or online at Boots, Superdrug ect.
Thank you for reading; I hope this review was of some use to you!

I am not the kind of person who typically suffers from dark under eye circles but I do get days when I am very tired and my eyes certainly look tired. When these days come around the first product I reach for is my Garnier eye roll on.
WHAT IS IT?
The Garnier eye roll on is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a product that you roll on underneath your eyes. It is enriched with caffeine and moisture to hydrate, cool and refresh tired looking eyes.
The product itself comes in a long, thin tube which makes it easy to grip and to apply to your skin. I find that it is just like holding and using a pen, simples.
As you unscrew the lid you will see that the product is actually released from a metal roller ball. This is both cooling on your skin and excessive amounts of product are not released.
All in all I think this a good packaging design as you can fit it into you handbag or makeup bag and unlike with other eye creams you do not need to use your fingers to apply and work in which makes it easy and convenient to use when on the move.
USING THE PRODUCT
To use this product all you need to do is the work the pen in circular motions a couple of times underneath your eyes. Some people tend to just slide the product back and forth but I find circular motions to be more effective.
As the product is released you will instantly notice a cooling sensation. This makes your eyes feel instantly more awake with dark circles being instantly less noticeable.
Surprisingly the product is not that wet and does not leave any residue, after about a minute thee is no signs of the product left on your skin just signs of an instant boost.
I usually wait until the minute has passed before I apply any makeup and I have to say that makeup applies perfectly afterwards and does not look cakey or layered.
I love this product and when you are feeling tired and it shows you can't beat it. It may not work if you have really bad under eye circles but for a bit of a boost it is great. One thing I would say though is that you can find this product priced upwards of £10 so shop around as you can find it a lot cheaper. Highly recommended.
--also on ciao--
Although I don't have too many wrinkles around the eye area for someone in their early thirties, I have suffered with dark circles under my eyes since I was a teenager, and this makes me look constantly pale and tired.
I tried Garnier because I've used a lot of their other products and have been very impressed, and I had read lots of good reviews about the product and seen lots of positive advertising. (plus the gorgeous model advertising the product typically has beautiful skin in the eye area and not a dark circle in sight, although this might be more down to computer technology than the product itself!) It was also on offer in the supermarket when I bought it so seemed a good value buy in comparison to the alternatives.
The product is easy and convenient to use, and because it's a roll on it feels nice and doesn't drag the delicate eye area like some creams and gels can. I use it daily, morning and evening, and it has become part of my skincare routine so I don't even think about it anymore.
I must have been using this product for over a year (and come to think of it I've never had to replace it so considering I use it twice a day it certainly lasts!), and although the sensation of applying it is pleasant and it feels cooling like a massage, I must admit I haven't really noticed any difference to my dark circles. I tend to use concealer to cover dark circles anyway, but I can't say my eye area feels any different since using this product.
Having said that, I guess the fact that I haven't developed any wrinkles around my eyes could be a result of using the product, and my dark circles certainly haven't got any worse. It could be the case that this product is more about prevention than cure - after all, I don't believe in miracles!!
The cooling moisturiser contains Caffeine and Pro-vitamin B5 for a bright eyed look!
