Best for pale skin but does not seem to turn back time. Three and a half stars.

Ten Years Younger! The derma V10 tinted two in one tinted concealer product was purchased, by me, after a week of sleepless nights which caused dark circles under my eyes. This is a two in one product as it is designed to camouflage the dark circles but also any skin flaws. It was an emergency measure. I didn't even stop to look at how many chemical nasties there might be in the ingredients list. The ingredient, caffeine, is designed to revive the skin and the lime to freshen your eyes up. The product is best for oily skin which, on the whole, is probably, where I fit in on the scale. On the box it is boldly advertised, 'Ten Years Younger'. I take this to me that I will look younger, by a decade, after daily use, but the specifics of how long, and the science to back it up, is not really explained but it's a great headline grabber. The derma V10 tinted 2 in 1 roller was, I think, in Home Bargains and I can't recall the cost. I see it is on Amazon for £5.70 but I know I didn't pay as much as that. Roll and Dry: In order to conceal dark, under-eye bags, the company advice daily use, in the morning, for achievement of the best results. Uncap the product to expose the metal ball and very lightly roll it underneath the eyes. Keep it thin and controlled. The container is easy to hold and the concealer won't rush out. Next, use fingertips to gently blend in and allow to dry. This product can be used with or without make-up. It seems go quite far if not applied liberally. Colour: Oops I did it again! I failed to colour co-ordinate with my olive complexion. Doh! This is for pale skin. I was so desperate for the eye circles to go that I didn't care when the concealer looked a bit light under my eyes. This is what sleeplessness does; it makes a person desperate and they fall for terms such as, 'Ten Years Younger' on an impulse buy. I don't think it was too obvious as no one commented, or stared, so I think I got away with it. Texture: This concealer feels cool and refreshing upon application. It's a nice wake-up on early morning starts. This must be due to the lime effect on the delicate tissue under the eyes. There is no dryness or flakiness as I have found with other products. The action of rolling the metal ball on adds to the sense of refreshment. Results: So it works to the extent that it refreshes me, on waking up, but after several weeks of daily use it fails to live up to the claims that it will make me look ten years younger. I also want to point out that splashing water in my face also wakes me up and that probably costs less! Does it conceal the bags? Well, I think it lightened the darkness. It gave me a little more confidence about my appearance, but once I returned to my normal sleep pattern it was obvious that no chemical aids where needed to make me look younger, just proper and regular sleep. In terms of longevity it does not act as a preventer against dark circles, under the eyes, as the results of returning phases of sleepless nights have proved that! Maybe I should try cucumber slices. The aloe Vera is supposed to aid in the removal of dead skin cells. I have no way of knowing if this is true but the action of rolling the metal ball under the eyes does have a softening feel. Oh dear - the chemical list, what am I doing to my body when a few good night sleeps would have done even better? On the plus side this is paraben free which means the potentially dangerous preservatives are not present in the product. Here come the nasties: Ingredients: AQUA, TRI C12-13 ALKYL CITRATE, Di-C12-13 ALKYL MALATE, CI77891, TRILAURETH 4-PHOSPHATE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, ETHYLHEXYLETHYLHEXANOATE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, SORBITOL, C1 77492, PHENOXYETHANOL, ETHYLHEXLGLYCERIN, CAFFEINE, AMMONIUM ACRYLOYL-DIMETHYTAURATE/VP COPOLYMER, XANTHAN GUM, GLYCERIN, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, CITRUS MEDICA LIMONUM FRUIT EXTRACT, C1 77491 Overall: Try it if you are pale skinned, by all means, and the massage action of the stick, against the skin, might help give tone. However, I will not buy again because it didn't take a decade off me! If I could give it a half star extra I would because it feels pleasant and refreshing but it is not going to make any one look ten years younger!

        a bargain product

I am someone who suffers from quite bad dark circles under my eyes when I don't get enough sleep, which is much of the time. There are loads of different concealers designed to hide those dark circles which I have used with some success. I heard of an expensive premium branded product designed to both disguise and eliminate eye bags but was loathe to splash out on it after reading mixed reviews about its success. The derma V10 tinted 2 in 1 roller was only £1.99 from good old B and M for an 150ml tube so I was happy to give it a try. This is a product designed both to disguise the dark circles under your eyes by using a concealer and make them disappear by using caffeine. I can't remember if there was different shades of this product available or not but the one I have is a pinky kind of tan colour and blends in really well with my fair-with-freckles complexion. I am someone who sometimes finds that the palest shade in the make up shelves is too dark for me so this is a real bonus. The concealer is a roll on, to use it you remove the cap and use the metal ball to apply a thin layer around the eye area. The concealer flows nicely, and because of the thin texture is very easy to rub in and blend into the skin. The roll on itself feels lovely and cool and soothing on my eyelids which is great when I am feeling tired and the concealer feels nice and light and not like it is weighing my skin down at all. The concealer does well at disguising my dark circles. I have to use two coats generally, allowing a couple of minutes between each application to let the liquid dry. I have also used it successfully on the odd zit that pops up. The coverage lasts all day and it is easy to remove with wipes before bed. I really like the derma V10 tinted 2 in 1 roll on but I don't think it has made any difference to the appearance of my eye bags overall, they continue to appear and disappear depending on how tired I am. It is still a great product, well worthy of 4 stars for it's excellent coverage and bargain price.
