      Works but costs

For the past 10 years or so I have been using Electronic Toothbrushes. Ever since the first one I have never looked back and over the years have tried a wide range of brands and products but the latest in this long line is the Phlliips Sonicare. In all I have been happy with this product, although there have been a few issues, generally it's a well performing, valued toothbrush. For your money, more on that later, you get two toothbrushes so its ideal for couples or families. I paid £79.99 for this which is a bargain as I soon found out this is on sale for much higher prices elsewhere. At around the £80-£110 mark I would certainly not complain but the higher you go the further you might find yourself feeling short changed. Anyway no one else in my household uses these so I had myself two brushes, part of the reason I purchased with an extra head. That means realistically three heads which last quite a while. When you get the brush out of the box for the first time the first thing you will notice is how compact tight and well made it feels. It feels very durable, solid and gives you a nice firm grip. It all feels well made as you would expect from such a big brand and it makes for a feeling you got what you paid for. When you begin to brush the feeling of satisfaction continues with the head rotating at a good speed, giving the impression and feeling that its providing a perfectly deep clean. Indeed with tough bristles and the fast rotation as well as the head which in a decent size this is an all together satisfying brush. My mouth has rarely felt as good as after a brush with this and the deep clean feel stays. Indeed with a good battery life too this is one of the most satisfying and long lasting brushes I have had and certainly where as some brushed tend to face quickly this is still going strong. One major downside here is the price of the heads. As with all toothbrushes this is where the companies try and sting as much money as possible out of your pocket and here is no exception. At £17.99 a head being the cheapest I've seen that means its not cheap at all and ion the upper-most reaches compared to other brands. This means constantly forking out for new heads every 2-3 months. Not ideal at all! Nevertheless there is no doubting this is an all round quality toothbrush, with good cleaning quality and if used right always giving the mouth a nive fresh feel. The power of the rotations and deep clean feel may well be worth the price but the recommendation of this depends highly on your budget. Good initial value as long as you are willing to pay out for the heads.

Good electric toothbrush pair IF you can justify roughly £60 a year on replacement heads.

Having already been using a Sonicare toothbrush, I was keen to try this model as although my teeth were getting whiter, they weren't always as shiny and (literally) squeaky clean as they could have been, plus I was still experiencing bleeding gums due to an already existing sensitivity. The toothbrush is rather too well packaged; it was a bit of a struggle to open inside. The set is complete and covers you for travelling too, which is good. Brushing with these brushes resulted in a genuinely deep clean feeling as well as, now I've been using them for 3 months, reduced sensitivity of gums (read that as less bleeding and soreness). There are downsides though, the main one being the exorbitant price of replacement heads which is about £15 every 3 months if you follow the recommendations given by Philips. The RRP of £249.99 is/was excessive too, as far as I can see, in spite of how good the toothbrushes are (remember there are 2 given here). At the current price of £96.88, I would definitely recommend it though. This review was previously posted on Amazon, under an account registered to the same email address as DooYoo.
