      Very helpful

      A gorgeous hot chocolate!

When shopping in Tesco one day I remembered that I needed some hot chocolate for at home. I always opt for hot chocolate which is made using milk for when we are at home because my son and I both love it and as a rule I buy the Cadbury's drinking chocolate as I feel it is of premium quality. However, when in Tesco I did notice that Galaxy had a new traditional style hot chocolate on offer and so I decided I would try that.

The galaxy traditional style hot chocolate was on offer in Tesco for £2.00 for a large 288g tub making it a similar price to the Cadbury's small tub! The packaging is similar in style to the Cadbury's in that it is a cardboard tub but obviously the galaxy one is brown in colour in fitting with the brand image. I personally think that the galaxy hot chocolate packaging looks very warming and inviting with its chocolate browns and a picture of a frothy cup of hot chocolate on the front.

We are told on the front of the tub that this traditional style hot chocolate drink is to be made using milk and that it had an easy to dissolve formula for extra smoothness. Upon opening the lid and removing the golden coloured foil seal I was faced with a somewhat grainy looking powder but one which I have to say smelt gorgeous and chocolatey.

The instructions on the tub tell you to add four heaped teaspoons to a 200ml mug of hot milk but to be honest I find this a bit much. I used two teaspoons for my hot chocolate drink and in my son's smaller cup I use just one which we both find is plenty. When stirring the drink the powder does dissolve very quickly and a creamy looking froth develops on the top of the drink.

As far as the taste test goes both my son and I love this hot chocolate drink and I would go as far as saying we prefer it to the Cadbury's! The drink is sweet, creamy and chocolatey and perfect for a cold evening at home! I have even taken to adding a dash of baileys to mine which just gives it an extra kick and just tastes gorgeous!

Per 18g serving made with 200ml of semi skimmed milk you have:
      7.8g protein
      23.7g carbohydrates
      3.7g fat

I would certainly recommend this hot chocolate drink-my son and I love it!

Thank you for reading my review!
