Bratz destiny "My friends call me Dynamite because of my sizzling sports skills" One of three dolls in the new range (when will they stop?) this was a must because with Christmas coming up and a half price toy sale, i had to buy it as it was one of the things Little Miss had asked for for Christmas. Anyway, we opened it early...! The doll itself comes in the usual plastic and card packaging. Difficult to get into and then even more tricky to get past those plastic tie things on the back of the card. No chance of this doll escaping! Once all of the ties are undone and she is released, the first thing which strikes me is how long her brown hair is.Ok there is a warning that she has longer hair but somehow I didn't think it would reach her feet. She is dressed in some shiny lurex type trousers which somehow manage to give the impression of being sporty until we consider her very high silver shoes- in human terms they have to have 6" heels. Underneath these trousers she sports a lurex all in one, topped with a pink zipped jacket. The "sporty" look is completed with large silver ear rings and a big silver bangle (removable). The doll comes with a change of clothes, obviously for after her sporting exertions. This time, for being such a wow at sports, it's a tad more appropriate...well the white trainers are, which, this being a Bratz doll, comes complete with the feet. There is also a strange looking top which looks like a long sleeved pink tutu with a stretchy bodice thing over the top, and some sparkly grey pedal pushers. As well as these there is also a chunky silver choker and a really large black hairbrush necessary for keeping that uber long hair in tip top condition. OTHER DOLLS... There are two other dolls in this brand new set of three- Aubrey and Kina. No doubt we will acquire them all along with their clothes and accessories. PRICE AND AVAILABILITY... The RRP must be £14.99 because I bought this for £7.49...a bargain! The dolls are widely available in toy shops, supermarkets and online VERDICT... Naturally, the doll wasn't for me, so the verdict has to come from Little Miss, and it was a hit. She has moved on from barbie dolls and now likes the ever pouting Bratz, and in some way I can see an improvement in the type of doll. Firstly, I think the clothes are more appropriate for today and no longer do we have to struggle trying to get too big hands into teeny weeny ball dress sleeves. The Bratz dolls are actually relatively easy to dress, and Little Miss has no problem dressing and undressing them herself- good news since it comes with a change of clothing, right down to accessories. I know it looks strange but I think it's much better having the feet attached to the shoes- simply pull off the whole foot and change the footwear- much easier than tiny shoes for small hands. The feet are also much more visible on the floor and less likely to be sucked up by the hoover. The doll doesn't do much apart from just be, but she can be changed into her different outfits, and those of her Bratz friends. For anyone who likes the Bratz dolls, this will be a hit. Thanks for reading. Daniela x
