“ Brand: Mattel / Type: Doll Accessories „
My daughter has been really into Barbie for a few years now. She already had all of the standard things like the cars, houses and horses. We were looking for something new for her collection and came across this.
Two of the seats in it which can slide back and forth so that you can position them where you want. It comes with various accessories such as drinks (that can be served on the trolley that comes with it), trays of food and suitcases. It has a tannoy system in it that you can speak into to make your announcements to your passengers.
My daughter really liked this although she did not play with it as much as some of the other Barbie toys that we have got. I think that there are other Barbie products available that would have a better play value than this but it is a good product, especially if like mine your daughter already has a vast collection.
Although my daughter isn't a huge Barbie fan at the moment she does enjoy playing with toys such as camper vans and cars and since she loved the idea of air planes I couldn't resist getting her this Barbie one.
The aeroplane is large and quite heavy for a small child to pick up and move. It does have wheels on the bottom though, which means that it can still be enjoyed and pushed along. The aeroplane is light blue in colour and it has creamy coloured wings and it also displays the Barbie logo.
The plane opens up in the middle by lifting the side all the way up. Inside there are 3 seats all together they can move back and forth and also recline. The seats are bright Pink. Also inside are over -head storage compartments where luggage can be placed as in a real flight. Also included is a food cart with cans, cups and food trays and 2 bright pink suitcases.
The back of the Aeroplane also has a storage compartment where the trays and the items can be stored when the Aeroplane is closed up.
The front of the plane is obviously the cockpit, in here there are lots of different controls (for show). By pressing a button in the cock pit real plane sounds can be heard. The plane also has a real CB radio.
The age range:
The age range for this plane is 4-8 years I can understand why as there are a few small parts.
It is actually very hard to purchase this plane now, if not impossible from a store as I think it was actually discontinued to a new model plane being released. If you check sites such as amazon you can still find the plane available however and it costs a little under £40.00. This is a bargain considering the toy you are getting is extremely well made and durable. It has plenty of accessories and all of the features make realistic play.
My daughter loves to play with this aeroplane. It provides hours of fun for her and to be honest most of the time she doesn't even use Barbie dolls in it she prefers to use her Mickey Mouse and friends beanies. There are no Barbie dolls free with this plane so you do have to purchase those separately but I'm sure Barbie fans will probably have a few at home. I would definitely recommend this plane I must admit that it isn't as bright and attractive as the newer models but it is a lot cheaper.
My 6 year old daughter is very heavily into Barbie and requested the Barbie Airplane she'd seen advertised for Christmas. We thought it was rather expensive at £50 (especially as it didn't include any dolls in the price) but she was adamant so we went ahead and bought it for her. This has been our most successful toy purchase ever. I admit, considering the price, it was rather annoying that we had to stick all the aircraft logos onto the side of the plane and put all the parts together, but the attention to detail is amazing. I hasten to add that unlike other Barbie scenarios, there's not a simple tacky piece of cardboard to be seen! The plane has fully reclining aircraft seats, a hostess trolley complete with meals and even ice for passengers' drinks, window shutters and kitchen area for 'heating' meals. The plane makes take off and landing noises but the most exciting feature is the microphone which allows the "hostesses" to make announcements over the tannoy system. £50 doesn't go far nowadays but I consider this very well spent!
