“ Keep up with the latest colours and trends with Gosh Cosmetics. Available around the world! „
Gosh cosmetics are a bold, bright, unique and dazzling make-up range, this make-up range is only sold in Superdrug stores.
Gosh has been around since 1945 - then it wasn't popular but as of the mid 2000 era it has become more popular around girls, young and old, in the UK.
There is something for everyone in this range whether you like to go for a bright daring look or a sweet all natural look.
The items range in prices from four pounds to 15 pounds, but you may find a bargain or reduced items in this range which does happen quite often, so you don't need to pay full price especially if you're on a budget for make-up.
I have tried some of the items in the range, but not all of them though but I will check some more out later in the year.
Some are really good but some are really bad.
Some of the best products are:
color liquid eyeliner : These come in a range of colors, they cost about eight pounds, they are expensive but they are good quality however you need to make sure you take it all off before you go to bed as some can still be left on you don't remove it all. But it's worth a good buy.
Make-up brushes : These are very cute and the brush of the product is actually very soft, so you have a comfortable feeling when applying make-up.
eye shadow : they have some daring colors which you can mix to get better colors, but if you prefer natural look you have always have it to!
eye pencil : Good range of colors, and very long lasting, but make sure you don't rub your eyes cause it will come off!
Foundation : This isn't the best foundation I've used as I think it is too thin and does tend to wear off quickly, so don't buy!
lip gloss : there are some nice glosses, but they do tend to wear off quickly!
Overall, you have nice pieces in the range but some aren't brilliant but it's worth giving them a go!
I've already reviewed a couple of GOSH products so I thought I'd big up the company as a whole. I own quite a lot but the Dooyoo catalogue doesn't seem to have everything..
I'm not going to go into a load of detail about ingredients and all the products just about the range.
I came across them a few years ago now in Ireland where I'm from but over the past year I've noticed them being stocked in Superdrug in the UK and although I'd never heard of them before I dismissed them as a 'cheap' brand due to the classy appearance of the products. Turns out they're a brand from Denmark that's readily available over Europe and America.
This was actually something that initially I really liked about the range. Every single product follows the same black packaging colour scheme, which looks really professional and neat. If you go and look at any other makeup brand's counter you'll see whilst they all have the brand logo on, all the products will be different colours and designs.
The choice is another thing I like. I know I said I wasn't going to go into detail but I'll list a few products they do.. Lipsticks, lipgloss, mascara, liquid and kohl eyeliners, foundations, primers, eyeshadows, blushers etc as well as having a line of makeup brushes too.
The colours! From very subtle to very bold, the products cover virtually any colour you could want to recreate every trend from every season. The eyeshadows in particular are really highly pigmented and buildable.
The products are really durable too. If it says it'll stay on - it'll stay on, and they last for a long time before you need to buy new ones.
The cost isn't dirt cheap but you get what you pay for, so by paying that bit extra you get a really great long lasting product.
The company's websites really nice and professional looking and shows you all the products they sell, as well as ingredients and a but stating that they don't test on animals. I had a look on the American GOSH website and you can actually purchase the products off that site but they only ship to the US so that's not much use. I think it'd be a good idea if you were able to buy the products off the UK site too, as Superdrug doesn't stock everything shown on the website.
In all honesty I think reviews like this are only helpful up to a certain degree, I think you should buy something from the brand yourself and test it out because at the end of the day everyone's different..
I recommend this brand of cosmetics to anyone as there really is a shade to suit every taste.
Gosh cosmetics are one of my favourite brands for eyeliners.
The sheer amount of shades they have, in some brighter colours too, compliment my collection of Barry M eyeshadows very well.
As someone with sensitive skin and eyes, it's so nice that these eyeliner pencils always glide on easily without that scratchy feel that you can get with some others, and so I don't feel as though I'm tearing my eyes apart! The colour shows up brilliantly so you don't need to apply a lot to get a great effect.
They last well and don't wear off during the day, I can easily wear them all day at work without the need to reapply.
These eyeliner pencils are made from a very smooth wood so they sharpen easily and I have never had any breaking or crumbling of the centre coloured part when doing this.
They cost about £4 for one but in my opinion this is well worth it as they are so easy to apply and don't feel uncomfortable.
Love the colour of grey/brown eyebrow pencil. However, very disappointed when trying to sharpen the pencil. On taking my purchase back with bar code label on it, there was a bit of doubt as to whether or not I would be given a refund or replacement which astounded me as Gosh is only sold by Superdrug in U.K. Eventually agreed to replace. I desperately wanted another one as I had my son's wedding in a week's time and wanted the eyebrow colour to look good.
The problem is the crayon itself is enveloped in a hard plastic coating which makes sharpening impossible. Whoever designed this has messed up big time. Tried a pencil and makeup sharpener and even a stanley knife. The knife manages to cut through to the crayon but the pressure needed just breaks the crayon off.
Very disappointing in standard of product as I love the colour.
I bought 2 gosh products at superdrug. They are the the velvet touch foundation primer (Sounds like something from B&Q!) and the quatro eyeshadow with bold yellow, green, Blue and Aqua.
The primer is great it makes my skin feel really soft and gives my make up a proffessional finish at home. I did have a problem with my dry skin, making the finshed look, awful. But after I found the right moisturiser for my skin the product worked very well.
The eyeshadows are amazing they are really cool if you like your eyeshadow bright and noticable. They also stay on for much longer and do not have annoying glitter pieces in that fall all over your face. Really great for creative make up artists or customers.
You can but this from most superstores as well as boots and superdrug.
The only thing that did put me off a bit is the price. The eyeshadow was £7.83 and the foundation primer came to £14.68. However I think this should last 3 months as I will only wear it when I go out or on speacial occassions. So it does seem worth the money for such a flawless and funky look. I haven't checked the price in Boots and tesco but you may get a better deal if you have club cards for the stores.
Im a magpie when it comes to make up and i love to try out the newest products on the market. when GOSH first landed in my local Superdrug i was excited as its extensive range which included eveything from Foundation, to eyeshadow, to make up brushes. the first thing i eagerly tried was their Quatro Eye shadow in Q22 Driftwood which is absolutly gorgeous, the colours are vividly intense and are long lasting. They produce a seperate effect when their applied with a wet brush to when they are applied with a dry brush. GOSH also have an extensive make up brush range which helps produce drammatically different effects depending on what product you are using them in conjunction with. i was particularly impressed with the Step - By - Step pamphlets that you were free to pick up whether or not you were buying the product. this guided you as to how looks could be created with the GOSH products on offer.
I am a huge GOSH fan, it all started when I used to work at Superdrug (where GOSH is exclusive) and used to get 50% off GOSH products, so I decided to give them a try. Even now, long after I have left the Superdrug 'family' I still swear by alot of GOSH products!
GOSH is a danish make up brand that has been making us look beautiful for 25 years and is sold in over 60 countries today. They use distinctive packaging which is black, minimalist and has the trademark GOSH in large letters on it. The products themselves wouldn't look out of place in any make up bag.
The price varies from product to product and starts from around £4.50 for an eyeliner to around £10 for a foundation. So I find their prices competative and highly reasonable for the quality.
I will tell you a little about the products I use religiously.
GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer - £9
This stuff lasts for ages, a little bit goes a long way. You put this on after letting your moisturiser soak in and it 'primes' the skin ready for your foundation. In real terms, what this means is that it makes your skin velvety soft and evens your skin out. It also shrinks pores and will leave your make up looking fresh all day.
GOSH Hello Youth Foundation - £9
This is my absolute favourite GOSH product, I can't live without it! It's available in 8 different shades so you should be able to find one to suit your skin tone. Like all good foundations it has a UV filter protecting your skin from the sun. I find that it doesn't sit heavy on my face and blends in so well that it's hard to tell I even have foundation on! Apart from those basics it also contains active ingredients which lift and plump out your skin leaving you looking younger, well rested and very fresh.
GOSH Quattro Eyeshadow - £8
You get four complementing eyeshadows in one with this product. You use the lighter shades to highlight and the darker shades to enhance your eyes. The powders feel very silky when applied and have a nice shimmery effect once in place. Available in a variety of colours there is something for every look!
GOSH Effect Powder - £5
Available in a wide range of colours these are great if you are wanting to create a more striking look. Very similar to the Barry M Dazzle dusts we all know and love. They can get very messy so make sure you apply them over the sink! The best tip I can give for these is to try applying them with a damp make up brush for a really vibrant effect on your eyes!
GOSH Velvet Touch Eye Liner - £4.50
Another staple in my make up bag. These eyeliners really do feel very velvetty when you put them on. They don't drag the eye at all so you are at no risk of damaging the sensitive skin around your eye. They come in some fantastic colours, my favourite is Funky Violet and they enhance your eyes with a vibrant, even wash of colour. I would personally say these are the best eye liners on the market.
There are plenty of other GOSH products available for you to try and play with but these are just some of my favourites. I would advise anyone who hasn't tried GOSH before to give them a go, they are well worth the money and are fantastic cosmetics that feel gorgeous on your skin!
