      Give it a whirl

What can I say about this camera?

Well...I absolutely love it! It is the best camera I have ever owned. From the clarity of the pictures, to how easy it is to use, it ticks a lot of boxes for me! We have this in gun metal not black and I've had the camera almost a year now so let's get down to the specifics shall we?
      Picture quality

This camera takes 14 mega-pixel photos and has a 10x optical zoom, however it does let me zoom in further on the digital zoom and I've got some incredible pictures of Aeroplanes recently.
Before this camera I had a 5 mega-pixel and a 10 mega-pixel that was given to me. The difference is astonishing. The clarity of the pictures is just amazing, and it captures every tiny detail! It's great for taking pictures of things like Aeroplanes, but we've also taken pictures of things like ladybirds! My son has a thing for taking pictures of creepy crawlies. The picture quality is so good that even my 4 year old has taken pictures with it!

      **Range and quality of features**

You have the option to take pictures or shoot a short video of about 10 minutes (Which does include sound!)
For videos there are minimal options, however for pictures, the sky is the limit pretty much. You can set it to natural ambience, set it to the beach to take into account all the sun, there's also night settings, movement settings (great when you have young kids!), even baby settings!

The optical zoom goes up to 10x, however the digital zoom goes up to 67x. And in the pictures below, the shot of the Aeroplane is zoomed in to 67x, making an awesome shot, unfortunately not quite enough to get the details on the plane, but for a compact digital camera, none too shabby especially considering I only paid about £99 for it (not including the SD card).

      **Ease of use**

It is very easy to use, and easy to get the hang of. If I can work it out without looking at/needing the instructions anyone can as I'm not great with technology! The only problem I have had using it is that the lens shutter doesn't always close fully, and had a couple of times when a random black mark has appeared in the corner of some photos, however I didn't need to do anything and it went away by itself pretty quickly.

It has two buttons at the top, one to switch it on/off, and the other to take the picture, which also has a bit on the outside that you can turn to zoom in and out. On the back there are two circular bits, the top one is a dial for choosing the picture setting, the bottom one has 2 sets of buttons, the top set is for deleting pictures, setting a delay timer, and choosing the flash settings, the button in the middle is the menu/ok button. When you look back through your pictures you can also use them to go up, down, right, left. There are also 2 buttons in the middle, an arrow which lets you look through your pictures and display/back which lets you choose your information on/off settings and puts up a grid too.

      **Durability**

As I said earlier, if my 3 year old can use it (obviously with supervision), then it's a good camera. It has been dropped a couple of times and is yet to break. There a couple of wear and tear scratches on the exterior and as already mentioned I've had a couple of issues with the lens shutter but other than that it's been fantastic and I have no complaints after a year. (I will update if this changes at any point).

      **Reliability**

This camera always works; the battery lasts for absolutely ages and only takes a few hours to charge up completely. I can put it on charge before I go to bed and it will be done by the time I wake up. I use my camera in bursts, for a few days in a row (I think the longest burst has been a couple of weeks) and it didn't need to be charged until the end of it.

      **Size & Weight**

Well it's a compact camera so the clue is in the title. It's nice and small. 28.1mm thick and 97 mm wide. It feels very light, I've adapted it slightly so I can wear it round my neck if I need to (partly so it doesn't get stolen) and I hardly feel it. If anything I would prefer it to be a bit wider.

      **Overall look & design**

It looks pretty neat, it's not gaudy, I love the gunmetal colour and you don't notice the dust on it because of this. If it has been on sale in black I would have got that but I'm actually pretty pleased with the one I got. The screen is positioned well, though having bad eyesight I would prefer for it to be a bit wider to allow a bigger screen.

      **Instruction manual**

Erm...honestly I didn't need it. I did have a look through it and the instructions are easy to follow, and it explains everything well, and just like the camera it's nice and small but it's pretty easy to figure out what everything does on the camera.

      **Value for money**

In total I paid just under £115 for this and an SD card. I can honestly say I have no regrets as it meets everything I want in a camera for now and it works for a low budget like mine. If you want something cheap and cheerful that takes great pictures, then choose this, however if you want a camera that is all singing, all dancing, you're probably better looking into an DSLR. I was actually advised against getting a Fujifilm camera but I personally would definitely recommend this to a friend (and have done).

A great camera for an amateur photographer!

I got one of these cameras for my birthday and am so happy with it. I'm not a huge photographer and don't know much about cameras but I know that this one is lovely. It looks great, it takes lovely photographs and looks very nice.

It comes in a variety of colours, I have the black one (seen in the picture) and for what it's worth - ive seen them online for around £100 i'd say its a great bargain! My old camera was £150 and the pictures came out were no where near as nice. I took this camera on holiday with me to Cornwall and got some absolutely amazing shots that i'm going to get printed on canvas - the 10x optical zoom is incredible as it means you can get crispy clear pictures of things quite far in the distance.

The battery life is very good, it uses a rechargeable battery. I only had to charge it once and was away for a week and used it a fair bit. The camera comes with the software you need to connect it to you pc/laptop and is very easy to install and then start using. The camera itself is easy to use although I don't think i've fully worked out all the different settings yet so it might help to read the instructions.

This camera is great value for money and i would highly recommend it. It has a super function on it which takes pictures in a panoramic view (it takes 3 pictures lined up and fixes them together) it's so easy to use as it wont take the second and third picture unless you line the screen up with the little cross and the picture always blends really well.

      Highly recommended little camera.

I have been away from the site for some time but anyone who remembers me will know I am a model and I therefore spend more time in front of the camera than behind one but I do love taking photos at a very amateur level and recently found taking pictures much easier with the purchase of the Fujifilm Finepix T200.

This is a very good looking and very well made camera and it looks and performs like a more expensive camera than what it actually is. I picked mine up online for only £95.99 which seems like great value for money to me.

It comes in a few different colours as most cameras seem to these days but I went for plain old simple black. I think in black with its impressive looking lens and the large rear screen it just looks very professional.
The Fujifilm Finepix T200 is a 14 megapixel camera with tons of features and functions such as face detection, dual image stabilization, YouTube capture mode, Blink Detection technology and Smile Detection technology.

It also offers you the option of setting things like the white balance and the ISO yourself, I am trying to learn a bit about this as my photographer assures me it will help me to capture better shots but I have to admit for now I am mainly in auto mode.

In auto mode or using any of the pre-sets such as Landscape, portrait mode, night mode, etc, etc, I find the image quality to be very sharp and the colours vibrant. The built in anti shake thingy means I have not yet taken a blurry image and I have taken over 300 photos with the camera so far.

I am super happy with my purchase and I am sure anyone using this camera will agree with what I have said. I have used it very successfully indoors and out and even in very dark situations like night clubs and the likes it does a very good job and having various flash settings you can reduce the dreaded red eye in pictures too.

There is a video function on the camera as there are with most these days, it does take decent video footage outdoors in good light but not so indoors in poor light but for what you are paying for the item and the great still images it takes you can hardly hold this against it in my opinion.

Battery power is good with this camera too, it uses a rechargeable lithium ion battery which I find gives you around 250 photos without needing charged, more if you use no flash and don't check them all on the screen.

Overall I would say this is a fantastic little camera that will do a good job for a long time, it seems robust and I have thrown it around in my handbag and dropped it on grass, I have even very clumsily knocked it off a pub table onto a hard floor and it has suffered nothing from any of these incidents. It is easy to use and takes great photos so I would highly recommend it to all.

        Disadvantages

A cheap camera with cheap quality

As a present, my grandma bought me a Fujifilm Finepix T200 and this is my review on my new camera so far!

        Price and Availability
Right now, this camera can be bought at argos for £100.00. Although i'm pretty sure this camera is also available in Amazon and eBay.

        Packaging
It arrives in a purple, cardboard box with a picture of the T200 on the front. Packed inside is the camera, an installation CD, a USB cable, the battery and the battery charger.

        The Camera
The camera itself comes in a few different colours, the one i have is a grey/charcoal colour. It's very small and compact, easy to carry around and is pretty light. It looks like your everyday compact camera and it's pretty slimline. On the back it has a large screen and many different dials and buttons to chose from at the right hand side.

        Using the product
The camera is really easy to use. The Off/On button is located at the very top and slightly to the left. A button next to it controls the zoom and the button in the centre of the zoom control takes the picture. There are two dials on the back of the camera. One controls the options of video, camera, flash, auto etc.. Underneath that a dail controls the menu and controls. There are also buttons to playback your pictures. The camera is simple to use and you get used to using it very, very quickly. There is also a very handy battery charger where the battery can be removed from the camera and placed into a device to be charged.

        My Opinion
I think that this camera is great in the fact that it is very easy to use and very compact to carry around. However, the picture quality on this camera is relatively poor and the camera sometimes works slowly, which can be frustrating.

        Overall
The fujifilm has many different modes and scenes which can be useful. It is also is a very nice design. However, i wouldn't recommend this camera because of it's not so good picture quality.
