I got this camera about a year ago. I had asked for a digital camera as a Christmas present, at the time my son was 6 months old. I live 150 miles away from my close family so to be able to capture those little moments that come with young ones for my parents to see was important to me. I've been able to capture my sons first attempts at crawling, some of his vocabulary and his first attempts at walking. I of course am one of those snap happy parents who is constantly grabbing cute (I would think so wouldn't I!) pictures of my child. =How the phone looks= My camera is a dusky pink colour with a silver lens, just like the one in the picture. You can also get this camera in black. The back of the camera has a large lcd screen, this shows you the picture you are capturing and you can also use it to look through your pictures/videos. It has a dial at the top of the back side, this allows you to switch for various modes such as automatic, video, taking two photos at a time etc. Theres a button below this with a play button which you press to see your photos. A button beow this toggles the display. There is then a circular button at the bottom of the back side which has a variety of options such as deleting a picture, the menu, taking flash off etc. =What it comes with= The camera comes with a plug for placing the battery in. This was the main feature for me- having a rechargable battery. My last digital camera went through batteries like nobodys business and it only got worse as the months went on! Now its so handy just to pop in the battery to charge once it gets low. It also has a connector cord so you can put the photos onto your computer. If you were to use this camera you would have an sd card as internal memory is only about 5 pics. Unfortunatly not all laptops have an sd card slot. When our laptop broke our friend gave us her old one which didnt have an sd card slot so I was very pleased to found I hadnt lost the usb connector! =Usage= *PICTURE quality is very good if things are still! Something I've noticed as my toddler has got more active is its hard to capture a picture unless he is still for 5 seconds! Theres a slight delay on clicking for the picture and the picture to be taken. This is slightly annoying as you get a blurry, no good picture! *VIDEO quality however I can't fault. The sound and picture are clear and I have managed to get some lovely videos captured (especially of the first attempts at walking) on youtube for family to see. Because of the great quality they do take up a bit of memory though. *BATTERY life is reasonable. If you're just using this to take pictures you can go a week or more without having to charge. If however you're taking videos the battery will fade quicker. It does warn you very eary on when battery is low. I recently went on holiday to visit family and forgot my camera charger. It told me on a Monday that my battery was low. I still took a lot of photos and it didnt fully run out until the Friday night which I thought was really good. It doesnt take too long to fully charge the battery in the charger either, only about 2 hours. =Durability= My phone has been grabbed and thrown by little toddler hands, accidentally dropped out of my pocket onto hard floor and thrown about in my bag with little problems. The only damage is the door which leads to battery and sd card has one broken hinge so comes loose very easily. The screen/lens etc are all still in perfect condiiton a year on so I'm very pleased with how lasting it is. =Pricing= Looking online many places dont still stock this camera- I suppose the market is always coming up with bigger & better products! You can get it on ebay for around £40-£50. You can purchase it off this website http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/12910578/ art/fujifilm/finepix-jv160-pink-digita.html for £70. Personally I'd chose the ebay route!
