      Good for the casual user

This Sony handy cam is a fantastic camera, the interface is really easy to use. I think the touch screen is really responsive which makes it easy to navigate menus.

The picture quality is exceptional although I tend to find it suffers in low light situations. The picture is crystal clear when there is a good amount of light, and the quality doesn't drop to much when you zoom in giving a great amount of details for close ups.

There is very little in terms of progressive scan shooting. The manual focus and exposure can be tricky to operate as they are controlled via the touch screen. The face detection system on the camera ensures that the subjects are almost always fully focused. This feature is also great when taking still photos, which are easily taken by button behind the zoom. The zoom button to me feels abit fragile but it has never broke during all the times i have used it.

In my opinion i find the sound a really good quality although it does tend to pick up the wind alot when facing into it.

The camera can easily be connected to a TV or computer. A software package comes with the camera to install to view clips.

The battery life is good and generally lasts 90mins.

Overall this camera is great for the casual user.
