      The best money can buy.

I bought this camcorder 6 years ago and used it a lot to capture all the good memories. Instead of paying £950 in high street stores that time, I purchased this from Tottenham Court Road shop Kamala Electronics (www.askdirect.co.uk) for £550. After that I could not stop playing with this new gadget. I used my friend's JVC and Sony, but picture quality is far superior in this Panasonic one. Especially focus capability and color temperature is lot better on Panasonic. The vertical design is more comfortable for steady shake-free recording. and photo capabilities were added bonus. The sound quality is excellent and wind noise cut facility is quite helpful.
But there were some design flows as Mini-DV category is still under evolution. The control buttons are only accessible by opening the LCD previe panel, so the SD Card slot. The Mini-DV eject was bit noise and require you to unmount the camcorder from the tripod. The night vision is not very useful as it is not infra-red but just slow shutter speed jerky vision.
Still, the image and sound quality were far superior than other competitiors, so small flaws can be easily ignored. If I have given a choice again, I would go for the same one again.
