Great Quality Easy to Use CamCorder - Highly recommended

I was lucky enough to be given this great camcorder for Christmas last year and I have used it several times to record holidays, family Barbecues and just rambling about my local area.

The device is very comfortable to use, it is a nice weight and the provided hand strap feels really secure.

I really loved the fold out screen, it has great image quality even if bright sunlight and makes framing your subject matter really easy.

The menu system is simply fabulous too! I really love the way you can slide you thumb along the sensor bar to navigate through the menu. Most of the menu options are fairly intuitive too, so before long I was using the camera to great effect.

The supplied cables and docking station and software for the PC all work really well. I have got my camcorder and docking station setup on my PC so that when I dock the device, the software automatically checks for new footage and downloads it direct to My Documents so that I can view them a little while later. The transfer rate was amazing considering the size of the files.

I have to rename the default file extension in Windows to get the files to playback properly, but this is no hassle once you realise how easy it is. I just rename the files to .avi or .mpg and they play fine on any devices such as Media Players, and PC's.

The supplied battery is good for a few hours of filming, but when I went away on holiday I bought a heavy duty battery for about £30 on eBay and that lasts all day long even when playing back your footage.

The zoom works really well and focuses automatically really quickly. I am only an amateur user and I have found this really good to use.
