If anyone wanted prove that a foreign coach for the national side is a good thing, then look at Fulham and Tigana. When he came from Monaco, he had no experience of British football. He couldn’t even speak a word of English. But, that didn’t stop him from buying some quality players like L. Saha, John Collins, Bo Marte (on loan) and making Fulham play the kind of football played by the big clubs. Nobody could have envisaged the start Fulham had, they played excellent one touch football, and raced to the top of the league where they have stayed since. A couple of months later Tigana can speak English, he’s got the side playing the football he was known for as a player. He’s repaid the faith shown in him by the chairman. And now Fulham are on the brink of premiership football. It just goes to show that Football is a universal language, understood by everyone. Just need a good manager to organise the players. The best player for me has to be Lee Clarke, he would have been an England regular if he had played in the premiership. It will be good to see him back in the Premiership if Fulham get promoted. I think Fulham will get promoted the only thing that could stop them is the weather, it will be interesting whether when its cold and damp and they can’t play one touch football whether they will vary it. If Fulham are still top come the New Year then they will get promoted.
