Epsom is quite a convenient place to live if you are the kind of person who likes the city life, but also likes the opportunity to get away from it whenever you choose. Epsom has direct links into London so the city is always an easily accessible place, but then if you want a slower more relaxed pace of life you don’t have to go too far out of your way to find yourself on the doorstep of Kingston and Richmond. Epsom in itself is a nice place to live or visit, boasting a pleasant high street with its fair share of all the normal high street designer shops, coffee bars, eateries and pubs. There is no shortage of hotels and B&B’s to stay in and if your purse strings expand wide enough you can always stay at The RAC country club. Epsom also is the venue for one of the biggest race meetings in Britain, which is the Derby. Located on Epsom Downs some mile or two away from the high street, this is a great place to attend race meetings, or if you just like the open country and fresh air, then this is the perfect place where you will find people strolling across the downs
