“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Yoghurts „
Sainsbury's Fabulously Fruity 1% Fat Probiotic Yogurt 'Tropical Fruits' variety Flavours in this pack of four are: Spanish Apricot, Mango and Passionfruit, Peach, Golden Pineapple Each pot is 125 g , the standard size for this type of product, and contains either 111 or 113 calories per pot. I bought these in my local Sainsbury when they were on special offer at £2 for any two packs (I also bought a pack of 4 toffee variety, which I will review separately) . The usual price is £1.49 for a pack of four. Considering these are only 1% fat, the first thing I noticed when I tried one, was that they seem very thick and creamy and appear to contain a high fat content: Checking the label again, I discover that yes, it is a low fat yogurt, but the ingredients contain rice starch, which will give that thickening effect. The ingredients are all natural, for example, lemon juice is used for flavouring , rice starch is natural, and there are no artificial colours either, brilliant. There are chunks of real fruit in each one, which is really nice. Also, although it says do not freeze, I do like to freeze them sometimes and they then taste nice as a sorbet style dessert if you are on a diet. (The do not freeze advice really means do not eat after defrosting , I suspect). Overall, these are a really nice tasting product which actually leave you feeling full and satisfied.
