      Very helpful

I wouldn't buy this if it was full price.

I bought the Oxford Bright Belt a year ago during the summer months of 2011. The reason I opted for it was because I was cycling to and from work on my bike - and as I do shifts, it does mean that I am often cycling in the early morning or late evening. I do have a reflective vest to wear also, but I found this vest to be quite warm and during the summer months it can just be a bit warm to be wearing a vest when it's hot and muggy out. For this reason I thought that by having the option of wearing the Oxford Bright Belt meant that I could just put it over the clothing I was wearing without really adding layers.

I picked up the Oxford Bright Belt second hand from a jumble sale and I only paid £1.50. However, I have since found that this belt is actually expensive and weighs in at hefty £17.65 from Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk). To be honest, I would not pay anywhere near this amount for this belt and I think it is very overpriced for what is essentially a small piece of material that must cost very little to make.

The belt itself is made of a tough black nylon which has a yellow reflective strip that runs down the centre. The only decoration on it is a little plaque which identifies this as an Oxford product. It is essentially a belt that sits diagonally over my shoulder down to my waist and then a belt that goes around my waist to secure it. The belt can be adjusted and so it is suitable for most people and I think unless you are very large then this is going to fit you, whether you're male or female. It does come in two sizes, namely medium and large, but to be honest I would just advise everyone to get the large size unless you are very small because you can adjust the buckle to make it fit. There is a buckle that does up around the waist which secures the belt well and it is not going to come undone accidentally.

Wearing the Oxford Bright Belt is comfortable because it is lightweight and adjustable. I do find that if I don't have ample covering on my shoulder then the nylon webbing can make it rub a little bit, but this is only if wearing it for a prolonged period of time. Most importantly, the reflective surface is very reflective and so I am well seen by motorists when I'm cycling - and so obviously this helps to keep me safe.

Overall, I think the Oxford Bright Belt does it's job well, but I would never pay £17 for it and so would only recommend it if you can pick it up cheaply.
