      Very helpful

Time is finally called for John Constantine.....but it's not over yet!

Dangerous Habits is the graphic novel the film Constantine was based on loosely and sees the beginning of a much darker and grittier Hellblazer comic book series than fans were normally used to with events occurring here that would have long-reaching consequences for the future of John Constantine's world!

Of course Hellblazer has always been a dark and moody comic book; a horror series that, from right early on, courted controversy with its stories featuring ritual sacrifice, themes of black magic and Satanism and a reckless and dangerous anti-hero as its main protagonist. But from here on in, things would only get even more darker still!

Constantine is diagnosed with Lung Cancer; the result of all his years of habitual drinking and smoking, the equivalent of which would long ago have finished off anyone else. He knows exactly what he has to expect after all his dealings with the forces of Darkness and desperately seeks a cure to help prolong his fate. Can Constantine out wit the Devil himself and still retain his soul? Course he can but you can bet your bottom dollar that the journey there's gonna be one hell of a ride (no pun intended) and not without its consequences.....

This is a neat little tale full of Constantine's trademark humour and a much better story than that depicted on film! Long-time fans of Hellblazer or newcomers alike will find much to enjoy and though there is a kind of a moral to the story, its presence is a loose one as you might come to expect from this long-running and highly successful comic series!

It may not be John Constantine's finest hour but rest assured, it comes pretty close! The only let-down of this story is that it was so horribly butchered to create the big-screen version of Constantine and that there will be many out there who have only read the movie adaptation version of this story! This, the original version, is miles better and gives a good introduction to a new era of the Hellblazer comics that began a whole new look and feel for the comic series!

Comics have never been darker and more disturbing than this.......
