Definitely head and shoulders above the standard instant coffees.

In case you are wondering, I am reviewing the decaffeinated version of this coffee! The coffee comes in a sort of oval shaped clear class jar (made of 70% recycled glass according to the label). The jar has a dark green lid and label, showing the brand name, the fact that it is fairtrade and a picture of a steaming cup of coffee against a background of vegetation-covered mountains (suspect the vegetation may be intended to be coffee plantations but who knows???). The label has a red bar indicating it is decaffeinated. The contents are described as "Premium instant coffee grown organically and decaffeinated using only natural elements". They state that all their coffee is non-GM. My jar contained 100g of coffee. So - what does it taste like??? To set the scene I should probably give you my background as a coffee-drinker. I have never drunk tea, always coffee but until a few years ago I would only drink instant (and that fairly weak) as ground coffee was invariably too strong for me. Latterly I have taken to enjoying a cafetiere of ground coffee provided I have made it myself about 2/3 of the recommended strength. As you can gather, espresso and me do not mix!! With this coffee I have found I really enjoy the flavour and can actually drink it slightly stronger than I do many instant coffees as it doesn't have that bitter edge that so many of them do. It has a nice rounded full flavour. I would recommend giving it a go :-)

If this coffee was a man, it would make a total slut out of me!

If it is possible to become aroused and brought back to life by a coffee then this coffee is guilty as sin! I am crazily enthusiastic about this coffee because quite frankly this brand of instant coffee is (in my opinion) the best on the market! I have always been a massive tea drinker and coffee occasionally only when it is ground or particularly goumet but I would often refuse instant coffee of other brands as they tasted like burnt wood and were totally unpleasant. The first time I tried this at a friends house, I was totally blown away! It has a totally creamy, rich and almost sweet quality to it! It's much fuller in flavour but mild enough not to put off anyone who doesn't like real coffee. My friend (who now is a die hard fan) said it tasted a bit chocolately when she first tried it and I think she is kind of right. Its more expensive than your average supermarket brand but not too much and the flavour really is worth the extra that you may pay. It's also fair trade and so a much better option than other varietys as we all like to do our bit for the world. In general I wouldn't be embarressed to serve this to any of my posh friends if I cant be bothered to make a fresh pot of ground coffee. They seldom notice the difference or complain and I would guantee that once you have had this you wont be able to go back to nescafe or those other brands.
