      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great place for cocktails and a girlie night out!

Where to start with Revolutions Plymouth....

      Location -

Revolutions in Plymouth has been open since 2005, and is situated in the heart of the city centre, only a short 5 to 10 minute walk, away from other bars and clubs, such as varsity, union rooms and walkabout amongst others. This means it is ideal for when it closes as you aren't left on your own, there will always be someone around and the taxi rank is only 5 minute walk also.

      Inside the club -

Well you queue up and once inside you have two floors, and two staircases. The ground floor often plays 1990s hits and sometimes old skool. While upstairs is r n b all the way! The ground floor has a snooker table and plenty of seating by the window and has a small dance floor. Then as you go up the stairs the toilets for men and women are on the second floor before you get to the dance floor. The dance floor is almost square within another dance floor and two bars at either end. Both specialise in making cocktails and shots and they often make the cocktails with fresh ingredients! Generall the club is kept quite tidy, although the toilets can get packed if busy!

Price/Queue time - Saturday night is generally the night I go out to this club, and I usually queue for around 15 minutes at best and pay £4 to get in, you get a stamp on your hand so you can go back in - which is a bonus. The staff and doormen are generally very friendly as well i have found, never had any niggles. I have seen the club's queue round the club and up the street, i would say at least half an hour - not good if you are standing in the cold!

Dress Code - fancy dress is okay to wear here, although i have never been brave enough to wear it down town! The general policy is smart/casual with no sportswear - quite standard to most places I suppose.

The main nights, as I say are Friday and Saturday nights, but also Sunday is quite popular with this club, generally this is attended by club workers and doormen (as many of my friends go out on this day). These are the opening times for this club:

Monday to Friday 11.30am till 2.30am
      Saturday 11.30am till 3.00am
      Sunday 12.00pm - 2.30am

Drink prices are not too bad either -

with a privilege card (free sign up online) you can get - a pint of stella is about £2.10 while 2 cocktails are £6.50, and a bottle of house wine is only £6!!I think without the card I was paying £4.50 for a cocktail. My favourite being the Igloo, which is Vodka, lime, plymouth gin and fresh lime with tonic water. Also other classics they do include ; WooWoo, Mojito and Iced Tea.

During the day the club is open for food, this is between 1130 - 1900pm, although i have never eaten here. To be honest it is not well known for it's food and generally regarded as a cocktail bar/club.

      Overall Opinion -
I find this club has it's amazing times and not so amazing times. When it is busy it really is busy, and when it is quiet it really is quiet! I find if it is busier it is better, and you can generally get served at the bar very quickly. If it is on a quieter night then it probably is better avoided unless you just want a quiet drink. I like it in here as a whole, the seating is comfortable and the lighting makes it quite relaxing.

Go here....if you like vodka, cocktails, r n b music and quite a young "professional" feel.

      Don't come here....if you don't like r n b, vodka or young people.

Renowned as a Vodka Cocktail Bar, it covers two floors serving its customers from three bars.
