This club is held the first Tuesday of every month at Exodus which is above the Triple Kirks pub in Aberdeen. The flyers say that the music covers goth, industrial, darkbeat and the obligatory alternative (but it doesn't warn you about the odd Britney Spears track!). The music is varied covering old favourites such as Sisters of Mercy to newer stuff such as Korn and Sneaky Bat Machine. The regulars are friendly and talkative especially if you happen to be wearing an eye catching piece of clothing! Talking of clothing, you can wear what you want from grunge to full on goth to furry cat outfits (don't ask). The club has its own web site and email music requests are welcome but depend on the moods of the slightly mad DJs. The lager and vodka are always cheap (£1.50 and £1.30 respectively) with admission being £2.50. Basically a great cheap alternative night out in a town which seems to have more dance clubs than anything else unfortunately and its always fun freaking out the locals! UP DATE - The Elizium guys have organised another gig after the success of the Sisters of Murphy (a Sisters of Mercy tribute band). Sunday the 29th we have our Halloween bash with Narcissus Pool and a local band called 48K. No idea what it will be like but I'm usre we'll all have an excellent time! There is a Yahoo club for Elizium at : clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/elizium and the club also has its own web site at : www.elizium.net The pages are being updated at the moment but they are well worth a look!
