It was one of mates birthdays last week (Happy Birthday Vin xxx!!) and she decided that we would go to Corks off Oxford Street for a bit of a Bump 'n' Grind. As it was her birthday and I am a reliable sort of guy I said let's do it! I offered to drive, and after 30 minutes, found parking. When I got in there the first thing I noticed was that it was really small, and not only that there were tables all around me!! I thought to myself "How am I gonna shake my funky stuff without some room?" It wasn't until I realised that it was a one of these restaurant by day, club by night places, and low and behold about 10pm they started to shift the tables. During all of this I was getting really frustrated as we tried to sit down and then someone would come and steal our chairs. But my anger soon vanished when the DJ started to play out a mixture of R 'n' B and Hip-Hop. I was in my element and started to shake my thang!! The music throughout the night remained live, allowing my to really get those rusty old moves back into action. And when it got a little too much, or when they started to play Reggae, which I'm sorry I can't put up with, I went upstairs to a small cafe and get some munch. Do this only if you have a lot of patience, as me and my mate had to wait half an hour for some chips with cheese and bacon on, and we were the only ones in there so it wasn't as if the guy was under pressure!! Well thats me about done, all I will say is that even with the tables gone the place is a bit cramped, and when it gets packed it does get hot!! And if you plan on drinking do it before you get there, as two bottles of Bud cost me £8.00!! (Don't worry they weren't for me as I was driving!!) Apart from that I had a really good night, with a good mix of old skool and Hip-Hop to make the night pass by. So if you have nothing to do on a Saturday night then check it out!
