      Brilliant night out in Bangor

Just reading the old reviews of the boom boom rooms in bangor, northern ireland, but them times are gone and it now Bangors big club goes by the name of Cafe Ceol and Mint. Cafe Ceol is a sort of cocktail bar downstairs and then upstairs in Mint which is the club. Alongside mint is a function room called the sumo lounge. I love this place for a night out it appeals to everyone, it has 80' to 2000's music downstairs at the weekends and then upstairs on a saturday night it has its big name dj's and huge club night where the dancefloor is absolutly bouncing. They did used to have a poor door policy and usually the place was overcome with underagers but they have had a refurbishment and now a stricter door policy where on friday nights its over 20's and saturdays over 21's. Cafe Ceol/Mint/Sumo is an awesome night out i would recommend for any of the younger generation. Nights out in Cafe Ceol Monday night - Half price wine night - OVER 18'S all the latest r n b and chart music - free admission Tues - closed Wed - closed Thurs - student night - £3 admission fri - all 80's 90's 00's music - free entry - strictly over 20's sat - cafe ceol - music through the ages, mint bangor - club night - £5 entry - cafe ceol over 21's, mint - over 18's sun - live band fusion - prices vary - over 18's

The boom boom rooms, Situated in Main Street, Bangor. Resident DJs:- Caleb Smyth, Milky, Graeme Browne. The Boom Boom rooms come in two parts, Downstairs and upstairs, which caters for all tastes of music be you funky or hedonistic, Upstairs namely the Boom Boom Room, Caters for the most hedonistic dancing machines out there with smooth choons and deep vibes from the masterful hands of Graeme Brown, sometimes stood in for by Caleb Smyth, another top class DJ, Downstairs, namely Cafe Ceol, caters more for the funky crowd of partygoers, playing R&B, Hip Hop and commercial music, This is catered for by the Cafe's res, DJ Caleb Smyth. Decor is stunning, upstairs and down and captivates in its sleek styling and retro looks, eye candy indeed. No Matter what saturday you go, there will always be a large crowd of likeminded people waiting to party until the wee hours. A Large ammount of barstaff cater for your smallest of whims quickly and efficiently providing service with a smile and generally making your night go a whole lot smoother, a large selection of highly trained Doorstaff ensure that the night doesn't go with any hitches, and the atmosphere stays pleasantly intense all night long. If you are a guy, looking for a girl, this place has the most gorgeous clientelle i have ever seen in one not too small space, also if you are a girl, looking for a man, look no further... beautiful people, beautiful looking. Need i say more. Drinks are usual bar prices as per club and d the selection of drinks available is plaeasanly surprising for a club, Cocktails are £7 for a large jug and they really do hit hard when you want them too, a night shouldnt cost too much if you stick to your limit, which is difficult, believe me.. The Cafe, for all you chilled people. costs absolutely nothing, which is surprising due to the quality of the bar itself. THe Boom Boom room cost £5 before 10 o clock and £7 after, Cheap at twice the price. So If you are lookin for a cheap, amazing Night out in the North of Ireland, Look No further, you couldnt do better, look out for the liquid jelly beans, they bite! ouch!

The boom boom room was a club i went to with my girlfriend who lives in bangor. the club is fairly small but it wasd fairly happeniong on the student nite. The friday nite was very expensive at £6 but the music was quite good. I still prefered the student nite by far. Thats was only £1 to get in. the club was good with music and lights but the drinks were also very very overpriced for a small club. £7 for aftershock, southern comfort and red bull. Fairly expensive really. Anyway i would recommend going there and I certainly had a farily good time there.
