      Try it chilled!

I wish I could hate chocolate for at least a month. I'm very sweet toothed and I love any kind of chocolate. Naturally my favourite one is milk chocolate but I eat all of them. I don't really stick to Cadbury as there are several other tasty chocolates on the market I have to test. Lol Milka chocolates are my second favourites after Cadbury. There is a very large variety of them available in UK: - Milka Alpine Milk - simple milk chocolate - Milka Alpine Milk Caramel - double caramel filling - Milka Chocolate Cream - filled with cream - Milka Daim - not tested yet but the milk chocolate contains crunchy almond caramel pieces - Milka Happy Cows - milk chocolate with white chocolate dots on it - Milka Hazelnut - the milk chocolate contains small pieces of hazelnut - Milka Strawberry Yoghurt - the milk chocolate is filled with strawberry yogurt filling There are other types issued overseas. I love the marzipan filled dark chocolate but the truffle cream filled on is tasty as well. When we travel abroad we test the local chocolates too. Lol About Milka ---------------- The brand Milka was registered in 1901. The name of Milka comes from Milch + Kakao (in German), the main ingredients of chocolate. Philippe Suchard opened his first confectionary in Neuenburg. After he died in 1884 his sons continued making this lovely chocolate. The chocolate comes in purple wrapper since the beginning. Its symbol is the lilac colour Simmental cow. Milka chocolates are produced in nine countries now but the original ones were made in Austria. It is a premium quality chocolate. For more information about Milka visit www.milka.co.uk Milka Strawberry Yoghurt --------------------------------- This chocolate is wrapped in the usual purple wrapper and on the left is the Milka logo with the purple cow while on the right you can see strawberries and the filled chocolate. It looks very delicious and believe me it really is. This chocolate is milk chocolate filled with smooth strawberry cream and there are some small crunchy pieces of strawberry in it. The milk chocolate is the usual Milka quality chocolate. The filling is light pink colour and is a bit sour due to the strawberry and fits well the sweet chocolate. It melts easily in your mouth. It is easier to resist opening it than to stop eating it. Ingredients: ---------------- Sugar, vegetable fat, cocoa butter, lactose, cocoa mass, skimmed milk powder, whey powder, skimmed yogurt powder, whole milk powder, hydrogenated vegetable fat, milk fat, flavour, emulsifier (soya lecithin), hazelnuts, dried strawberries. Nutritional information: ------------------------------- Even thinking of it makes me put on some weight. This mouth watering chocolate contains 560 kcal in 100 g chocolate. This means 53 g sugar and 19.5 g saturate fat out of 100 g chocolate. It contains nuts, hazelnut and milk. My opinion --------------- You can guess from my review that I'm a fan of Milka chocolates as well. Cadbury is the number one and then the second are Milka chocolates. I like all their chocolates but my very favourite is the Caramel one. You can buy a 100 g bar for 0.95 pounds in Sainsbury's so it is really affordable. The chocolate will melt in your mouth easily. It is hard to stop eating it. The wrapper of Milka chocolates can be opened easily and can be resealed. The bar is divided into 5x3 rectangles. Each of them have a Milka logo on them. They taste yummy. The sweet milk chocolate fits well the sour strawberry filling. The filling has real strawberry taste. You should try them really. You can't fail because they are of premium quality chocolate.

A little bit of heaven in a bar

I know yet another chocolate review from me - but I do like chocolate and so I do get tempted easily to try different varieties. I purchased a large bar of this chocolate on a recent holiday to Austria and I will certainly be buying it again whenever I get the opportunity. This bar of chocolate is the strawberry version in Milka's very popular range. The chocolate itself is not all strawberry. The centre of the chocolate bar is like a strawberry mousse chocolate that just melts on the tongue and is wrapped in the smooth velvety textured Milka chocolate. - the taste is heavenly. The strawberry flavour is very natural and has that acidic edge to it that real strawberries have and so this really combines well with the sweetness of the chocolate. As with most of the milka range this chocolate will melt easily if you keep it in your hand too long - another good reason to eat it quickly - and probably more so with this variety as the chocolate is fairly thin. If you like strawberries and you like chocolate you will adore this wonderful combination - a little bit on the expensive side at the moment as the Euro is so low so a 300g bar cost about £3. But better to pay that and get a really good quality product than buy losts of cheap bars and be disappointed.
